I'm also craving a decent tycoon/management simulation,

Capitalism Plus is a favorite of mine, but it's a bit dry.

and an RPG with choices that matter (played the mainstream suggestions, think outside the box!).

Arcanum?

what are the mainstream suggestions?

geneforge does meaningful choices and faction interaction well

there's age of decadence but it isn't finished yet

The mainstream choices would be things like:

RPGs:

Any Fallout
Any Elder Scrolls
Any Fable
Any Dragon Age
Any Mass Effect
Pretty much anything that can currently be bought on Steam or Origin!

I've also done Age of Decadence, though Geneforge seems like it might fit - I have the series in my Steam library for some reason!

As for the tycoon/sims, I've tried Capitalism Plus but it's not quite my thing; as Bouchart said, it's rather dry!

A roleplay mandatory multiplayer game.
Played: SS13, a bunch of MUD's.

^ This.
Try out Town of Salem, if you haven't already. If you've played Mafia on the Forum Games and Roleplaying board, it's the same basic thing, though much, much faster.

I'm on a serious Roguelike-like binge right now, I'm pretty much not playing anything else.
Know of any good ones that aren't on my list?

You misspelled seance.  Are possessing Draignean?  Are you actually a ghost in the shell? You have to tell us if you are, that's the rule

Isn't that just a normal roguelike :P?

It is a pretty great game though...

Steam marines is a RL?  I thought it was a Space Hulk clone.

are you interested in things like Nethack, Angband, ToME, and Omega?  Or just modern games with some procedural levels?

if you only want the modern ones, these are actually close to the genre, not just marketed with the RL lable:

Diablo and its decendants (including TL) are pretty close to Rogue in terms of gameplay... you just don't have to eat...

Transcendence is a great little space shooter, but it pulls in all of the genre tropes: procedural dungeon (star systems) need for food (fuel) potions (barrels) wands (programs) and of course weapons, armor, and a couple of elite-like trading elements.  Add some scripted mission events anc an overall plot, and its a really full game.

Part one is free.

A singleplayer survival game on an island, but not zombies or anything like that and something that looks more modern.

Unreal world is good(best one so far to live on an island), and I find it TONS of fun. But I'm looking for something 3d.

A long time ago, I played a game where you got shipwrecked on an island...and had to build and survive on it. On island was tigers/lions/monkeys and stuff. However, the game ran out of content really fast, AI sucked and the game looked like it was made in java :P (maybe it was). I liked Unreal world 2d more lets just say lol. Game did have a storymode I recall.

But I'm looking for something like that game, with at least average AI that does stuff...singleplayer...and you survive on an island. Hunt animals and fish to live and what not. Build a small little one-man settlement. With modern graphics.

Anything like that out? So far all I found is zombies and more zombies and multiplayer stuff.
