I'm interested, if you need another player. :)

Yeah always looking for more players, I don't think there's quite enough new players yet to start a decent sized game.

I just started a few days ago - wow.  I agree 1000% with the  "play a game before starting in a serious game" advice, even now I can see a lot of things I'd do differently.

The tutorial has been axed in favour of in-game hint panels.

Ugh, sorry. Had a busy week in work and didn't have enough concentration to play a deep game like this as soon as I came home. I guess it's not for me.

We are just finishing up the current game and a new one will start soon.

Anyone interested, should join the current game and make your novice mistakes now,
so you will be more prepared in the new game.

We could use a half dozen more playtesters if anyone wants to help...

So, I've recently started playing this game, and am enjoying it quite a bit.

The game dev has put an incredible amount of work into it, which becomes apparent after you've played for a couple of weeks and have seen many of the details.  He says he's been working on this for 8 years, and it shows.

It has a learning curve, but it shouldn't be too much for the folks who read this forum.  I've joined in the middle of a long game, and am quite a bit behind everyone else; but that isn't detracting from the fun, as there's still a lot to do even as a minor vassal of a vassal.

I have tried this and here are some notes:
* You should allow 15 minutes for your first play session. in welcome email: sounds weird to me
* "no updates since your last visit" on first login looks weird, show updates from, say, last month, or nothing
* after logging in I was looking at Fullscreen / Window options for a minute, waiting for something to happen -> add please something like "please select your view mode"
* resuming game gets you fullscreen mode, your last selected mode is not remembered

tutorial parts
* Select an account avatar: missing "you" in "may as well set your avatar"
* Select an account avatar: "Click the button" with big C after comma
* Open Avatar panel: "Hover the white text" with no white text to hover
* Open Avatar panel: mouse over of "Exit Forum" is "Complete the Tutorial Request", missing "first" in the end
* Open Avatar panel: maybe name it "tab" instead of "panel"
* apparently switching to other forum threads when tutorial tells you to exit the forum is a bad thing: tutorial messages disappeared, after some clicking I made them reappear but exiting forum did not get registered ... funny how some other controls told me to "complete tutorial first" ... log out, log in repaired it -> please add option to omit it completely at first and then run it later
* Channel: there is no button in top right of the comm panel
* that Advisor comm panel is blinking all this time, apparently I was attacked by raiders while in tutorial ... I think it should either happen later randomly or tutorial should somehow note that event
* Building Structures: there is no button in top right of the comm panel again, "shrink in now" -> "shrink _it_ now"
* How to jump a fleet: there is no "green diamond shaped icon", my new fleet is marked with an orange square
* How to jump a fleet: tutorial tells me to send out "Scientific mission" prebuild fleet (marked with green something) while talking about my new fleet
* How to jump a fleet: green marker at "Scientific mission" fleet disappears once you select any fleet
* Destination options: "May not retreat here" on other stars is missing its subject
* ok, archeo fleet sent... and now? ... tutorial disappeared again, this time without me clicking "bad" things I think, relogging again, it's back
* Comm video: add "see later" option before loading it
* Comm video: video talks again about shrinking of comm panel
* ok, video ended ... and now? ... tutorial disappeared again .. relogging again, it's back
* View cultural awards: "by by doing so" repeats "by"
* View cultural awards: tutorial window is over comms buttons and can't be moved
* View cultural awards: Current goals is just a header, so which 3 are those selected as current goals?
* once more again, tutorial offers "Close" button which closes it ... so relogging again, and it is not back ... *shrug* ... let's start playing then, I guess

other places
* Star: "Close Create" button in Planning sounds weird
* Fleet: buttons for transfer of all contraband are missing a space ("contrabandleft", "contrabandright")
* in overall, be more conserve with big letters, I guess

All those menus and submenus are bit confusing at first but it surely is a decent game.
* What exactly makes scouts good at exploring? They seem kinda expensive. Why not to just send a frigate or so?
* Is there a way to find out how many players are playing given game?
* Is there any max storage capacity of system?

What exactly makes scouts good at exploring?
It has a tractor beam to capture flotsam, a scientific unit that can examine artifacts, a small cargo hold for artifacts.

No, you can never tell "what is out there", there is a lot of fog in the game.

A star system? No, unlimited capacity

... and thanks for all those bug finds. There is a feedback option in-game that makes reporting bugs and suggestions easy, plus it enters your feedback into my tracking system so I don't forget to deal with them. It also dumps data to help me fix the bug.

I have already done few and will write the rest to intern feedback soon. I was just not keen on using it during tutorial, seeing it can get easily confused when you click on other things.

I thought maybe just that "Select game" screen could say something like "players playing this game: 3" for each of them.

Is there a difference in putting building as dormant "to be build" and planning it, other than that planned buildings can get automatic supply runs from other stars? Will builders be automatically set once resources get avaiable, for both dormant building and planned building?
