Even if you found a suitable opening, I doubt it would prove all too satisfying. And it might leave some nasty wounds, depending on the moral high ground's geology.
Location subject to periodic change.
Baffler likes silver, walnut trees, the color green, tanzanite, and dogs for their loyalty. When possible he prefers to consume beef, iced tea, and cornbread. He absolutely detests ticks.

EDIT: Keas restricted to tropical forests where they belong.  Those evil, EVIL, foul little things.

Edit: The baby murderer became a friend of the fortress, which started a loyalty cascade, and now most of the squad is dead.

Erils looks around at the town, trying to see if he can spot any building that looks bigger than the others or stands out in any way as if it was a store or market. Erils also picks up a stick and looks at it for a bit. He decides that with a bit of charades, and perhaps a few helpful drawings, communication shouldn't be too hard.

(Been meaning to initiate the timeskip soon, but am unsure of the right moment. I guess it depends on how much further you all want to RP the First Contact)

Cish, seeming a bit unsure as to what to do with all these people, points everyone in the direction of the town center, before running off to presumably his own home and depositing the axe and bundle of wood he'd been carrying around.

(I'm ready for the timeskip. I want to spend my time improving my Archery, Butchering and Communication (understanding their language) most, but also on dodging.)

((I'm ready also. I'd focus on athletics related skills, swordsmanship, archery, farming/herbalism and possibly learning elvish.))

(Wouldn't you need to find an elf for that last one?)

Alright, it seems like most people are ready. I'll talk with Zanz and then we'll get to something a little more interesting.
