Since no one has gotten hurt yet, advertise my services in town, hoping to earn a little spending/researching/food money through healing people.

Alex sighed deeply and then flipped the map. "Well THAT was a waste of time..." he mumbled, putting it back upright. "I'm gonna go around and try to find something new, maybe that'll help..." And with that, Alex grabbed his coat and left.

We can make one buy no workstation a chisel and a handsaw would suffice to make almost any product out of wood we can even use a freaking rock as a hammer. Also buy a rusted saw cheaper the only problem irl is that the blade wont hold an edge and will be prone to snapping but it will still be functional

How quickly we went from SCIENCE to "Let's use rocks as hammers and sell rats to homeless people."

How quickly we went from SCIENCE to "Let's use rocks as hammers and sell rats to homeless people."
Indeed.

And i am not going to end up like the [A]merican government we need to budget all the things.
As an American, I am insulted by how entirely accurate that statement is!

>Derpus contemplates a name change to Alux Minimus
You consider changing names, but that would be a terrible idea. How would you ever get anything done? Might as name the whole goddamn world Alex. You should probably just continue doing science.
>Derpus collects a few drops of blood from one of the caged rats, on the end of a Q-tip, and tries to feed it to the Skelekitty. Then try again with new blood, dripping it on the crimson plant.
You get some blood from a rat and what the hell is a Q-tip this is a medieval fantasy setting. Instead of making things up, you put the blood on a small spoon and try to feed it to the Skelekitten. It doesn't really appear interested.
You then a dab of blood onto the strange plant. Quite alarmingly, it twitches slightly and visibly grows in the direction of the blood.

Ha I have made progress I will take and cook up everything I caught last night cook it up load it into my wheel barrell and go sell it in town.
You begin to cook up all the fish you caught. You finish cooking it all, but don't quite have time to make it to town.

I try drawing a cube in case the tree is to complex as well
You draw a cube, and then tap it with the ruler. It reacts similarly to the tree, with the lines burning up, but you notice that the square face in front, rather than gradually glowing and vanishing, the whole square glows at once for a few seconds, and then disappears.

Since no one has gotten hurt yet, advertise my services in town, hoping to earn a little spending/researching/food money through healing people.
You offer up your services, and a few towns people come to you for diagnosis and treatment of minor wounds. You make fifty Steinmarks.

"We need more Steinmark(s), I might know a way."
teach skelekitten some tricks
"We could show Skelekitten off, let him do some tricks and earn some Steinmark(s). All in the name of science!"
You begin to condition Skelekitten, but don't make much progress. Honestly, you're not sure if cats can learn tricks easily.

Alex sighed deeply and then flipped the map. "Well THAT was a waste of time..." he mumbled, putting it back upright. "I'm gonna go around and try to find something new, maybe that'll help..." And with that, Alex grabbed his coat and left.
You wander outside, only to immediately find a letter on your doorstep. You bring it to the lab, open it, and read it:
"To the Steinheim Research Laboratory:
Greetings. I am Erik Koenig. Due to your recent advertisements, it has come to my attention that you have been researching the recent... events which have been happening in Steinheim recently.
As such, I would like to request a meeting about certain proceedings that have occurred. Please meet me in the market square at noon. In addition to being possibly mutually beneficial for you to help me on this, if you can solve my problem I will agree to be your sponsor."

Alexei volunteers to build a stone furnace.
You begin to build a furnace, and get about halfway finished. You feel like you are getting the feel of stoneworking a little bit more.
Alexei is now a mediocre Mason! ((I've decided that the ranks of skills should be novice, mediocre, adequate, decent, great, expert, and master. Any objections?))

Maybe, something for alchemy?
You wander around the market looking for something useful, and find an interesting looking piece of equipment. You ask about it, and the salesman explains it to you.
"This little gadget right here is what I call an extraction press. You put something right here, push this lever down hard, and it'll squeeze the juice right into this little bottle. Good for extracting liquids without ruining anything by boiling it. And just between you and me, although you should technically never ingest anything off of lab equipment, this thing makes a great cup of lemonade."
You decide that there's no reason not to get it, and buy it for 25 Steinmarks.

Draw some basic two dimensional geometric shapes and experiment upon them. Also, I'm all for helping potential sponsors.
