I like that Mountain Druid kit, although I can't take a kit when multiclassing, I think. Maybe I can take a few levels of fighter and then dualclass to mountain druid. Or just take fighter/druid multiclass.

15 cha and 12 wis as required stats, though ? Eh.

Rolling stats, 4d6 - lowest... 14, 13, 12, 16, 14, 13... Don't have to complain.

I don't get this edition much...

Hey, I thought we were using 3d6 straight down!

I have no idea, Rem didn't say anything about that.

Well, considering that you have less than average Int for your Mage of all things... you may want to reroll ?

Your class would be Fighter / Mountain Druid. The Mountain Druid thing is effectively replacing your normal Druid class abilities. You would then have a kit layered on your character like a plastic transparency sheet. A kit doesn't change your class.

I think, though I haven't looked for it in the text in some time, that kits work like this:

1: You can have no kit, or one kit.
2: You must have all of the classes a kit requires.
3: If you have extra classes that's fine, but you can't take another kit to cover those extra classes.

So for example, if you're a Fighter/Thief, you can take a Thief kit, or a Fighter/Thief kit, but you cannot take a Cleric kit (because you don't have any Cleric) and you can't take a Fighter/Mage kit (because you lack Mage).

All that is just stupid stuff that's not entirely important; as long as you expect that your multi-class character isn't going to be quite as good of a Fighter as a single-Fighter, and not quite as good of a Druid as a single-Druid, you're fine. If you choose Mountain Druid then your class would become Fighter / Mountain Druid, and you can pick a kit that you qualify for.

Average is 3.5 per six-sided die, or 10.5. The middle of the 3-18 spread is 10 and 11. Dunno why but I always described average as 9, which is wrong, but I guess I was just cutting 18 in half. But you can't have a 0, so that doesn't make sense. Hooray for doing it wrong all the time!

One day, if this doesn't start, I will look through that book and figure out how to make a character.

Actually, now that I think of it, this might be the version that I played in the 8th grade.
Is this the version with the first attempt at adding psionics?
Because I remember one of my teammates had it for a while.

Alrighty, I'll be rollin' up a character. I will call him something silly I thinks.

I'll do it tomorrow.

Cool! I assume that we won't be dealing with actual psionics in this game, though, since it's kind of game breaking.
I may try to make a wretchedly absurd character for this at some point.

Ok, Imma do this.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Hey, since wizards can use slings, and staffs, could I switch to a sling-staff? Or does it just not work like that?

Also, is this good?

Did you seriously rolled a FIVE for strength ? Maybe you should play a child.

Also, I'm gonna go Plains Druid/Fighter I think. So I can ride horses and mounted combat shenanigans.

Time to roll stats... (after not rolling a 15+ for a while) 16, 14, 8, 11, 12, 9.

Well, 16cha, 14wis, 12str, 11dex, 9con, 8int.

You don't get to pick what number goes to what stat. Sorry.

...I need 15 Cha as a druid. Nor I am going to play a druid with a main stat as a minimum required for my class.

I'm fine with rolling 3d6 but should I now roll 60 dice because roll n°1 goes to Strength instead of Charisma ? This is madness.
