The reverse psychology stuff is chokingly thick. My fear and distrust of shadenight has never been higher - it is up to a full 0.6 now, on a scale of 0-10, with 0 being absolute trust and 10 being absolute distrust. shadenight, how could you scare me so! I trusted you!
Send adequately prepared Camera-thing and Wuffle-cogs to the meeting.
Make sure the way they get there is expendable too. Perhaps the Whuffles can -fly- Camera-thing there themselves.
Do not send additional troops.
However DO have a distant observation post in the sky (one of the dirigibles... the larger) packed with us, our new bodyguard/sidekick, Lord Gamington and his coggy sidekick gal, all the succubae that we have but one (leave a hydraulic succubus at home) and fill the rest of the space with.... Figurehead, and cogs. The most defensive rated cog choices possible until the vehicle is full.
Have this vehicle well distant of the plain, but well able to view what occurs there. Have psisquid, Chemista, and all other sentients observing at the lair through audio/visual equipment (that we can cut the link of if we see fit), with an audio channel so that they can advise us and we can question or instruct them as we see fit, while we see whatever happening.
We should be far enough away to be unnoticeable to those on the field. We should be far enough away that no 'reasonable or unreasonable' sized bomb would be able to harm us. We should be close enough to observe. We may choose to spend a number of turns approaching the plain, or a number of turns following someone who leaves it, gaining on them if our vehicle is faster.
