your appearance isn't exactly gonna let you go unnoticed and without actually being Ancient-blooded you're only going to be a superhuman and probably weaker in some aspects than the rest.

What if it was chimaeras blood that allowed the transformation in the first place?

I'm not sure I follow. Was there an Ancient called a chimaera? From your app I'm only getting that you were mixed together with animal life of Earth with the power of Science!.

IIRC, it wasn't visible all the time, just popping through your skin every now and then - but anyway, it's black/dark blue, glistening and seems to be ever-shifting, blurring, rolling over itself in place like molten metal. That might be an optical illusion - people generally don't like to touch it. I suggest experimentation for your flesh-shaping abilities, either on yourself or others.

You've just as durable while it's hidden, so not really. I mean, sure, you could probably cover your face with it to conceal your identity, or carve notes to yourself into it. The only limit is your IMAGINATION.

Description: A thin, olive toned man with close-cropped brown hair. Commander of the USMW Altar Rainbow. Has fine, sharp features and dim blue eyes that project a steely gaze. Talks very little, and makes his words count. This can make him seem curt, brash and rather obtrusive off the cuff, and few understand him enough to see the sincerity and heart behind his actions. This along with his unwillingness to allow sacrifice of human life has earned him an unsavoury reputation with his superiors, and the only reason they grudgingly deploy him is because of his inherent instincts and raw skill. Outside of his suit, he still manages to maintain an overwhelming physical prowess (at least for a human) due to his daily personal combat training regimens. He often trains with his comrades in arms, including fellow Walkers as well as base personnel who are as passionate as he is about maintaining a strong body.

Superweapon Name/Title/Codename: USMW-4 Altar Rainbow
Superweapon Description: Prototype bipedal mechanical walker. Humanoid in appearance. Possesses thick limbs and the toughest armour yet of the Walker-4 combat series. Other than the extra bulk and improved engines and gyroscopic capabilities, the walker possesses few things different from any other modular walker.

PPWs are a new kind of weapon, capable of launching a massed beam of superheated energy instantaneously into a target, and Altar Rainbow was selected to carry one such weapon into combat when it passed the CTE (controlled testing environment) trials, code named "Cannon Prime", a named earned due to the sheer size of the weapon (over a metre in length). The weapon is comprised of four long prong-like rods extending from the particle collection apparatus, which gathers and focuses the energy which is then directed using special force fields generated by the rods.

The weapon is extremely deadly and pinpoint accurate, but temperamental, and requires a bulky coolant system which has yet to be perfected and tends to fail seemingly at random.

Aside from this, Altar Rainbow is also equipped with an upgraded version of the recently perfected Aegis Force Field System. Its much more efficient than the original version, and doesn't interfere with nearby solid mass when enabled, so walker teams will no more have to be concerned with collateral damage when activating the system in populated areas, though some more 'creative' pilots and commanders have protested at it's uses during close combat.

Unfortunately the powerplant is not sufficient to keep the shield up whilst simultaneously firing Cannon Prime, thus there is a period of vulnerability when using the weapon.

Altar Rainbow carries deployable recon drones for scouting when unsupported.

Proteus is an early sea god capable of telling the future who often changes form in order to avoid having to do so and it is said he will only tell the future to those able to catch him.

Now for the shady retcon to make my character not be weak and gain a spidey-sense.

Looks good, though I'm not sure I can promise you those weapons will be quite as effective as you've been told in training. Also, keep in mind that the Rainbows are not Ancient-killers - atleast, usually - but rather support vehicles for conventional forces as they battle the spawn and armies of the Ancients. You're good in that role, but taking on the Ancients themselves might prove a bit more tricky. Especially given the results of my combat test that pitted USMWs Yankee Green and Patriot Blue against a single Star God of the smallest type and which ended with both USMWs in smoking lumps of metal and burnt bodies and a very much triumphant Angel.

(That is, a USMW-1 and a -2 lost handily, you are not recommended to try your luck. Stick with the little... uhh, sorry, smaller-ish baddies.)

Type: Star God Collector
Description: Rather geometric, sleek and tall collector made out of a black, steel-like metal. Internals may contain energy fields to prevent passage to certain areas. Has mainly attacked cities, causing slow degrade and spread of a wall-like growth that appears to be of the same material as the Collector. The Heart and Nexus Field are located on the top, protected only by the sheer force of the Nexus Field. It's way of transport is by using the Nexus Field to create large instabilities in space-time, allowing for rapid transportation. Space-time is also slightly unstable whenever it is collecting.
It has little weaponry, save for a few general defense, scouting robots and anti-air cannons near the top, altough the sheer force generated by the Nexus Field provides plenty of power to eventually make and control biomechanical creatures.

I wonder what this is a reference to, hurr hurr.

Description: Most of the governments around the world had their humongous projects to defend Earth from the impending invasion, but the nations were ages ago in comparison to the secret societies; obviously the states decided to fund the projects from any society which decided to turn a little less secret in return. The russian government had been funding one of those gold-eating machines for decades already, a group bent on creating the Übermensch, an "over-man" who would be able to push the abilities of the human body to its limit and beyond, mostly due to their weariness of dealing with forces they could not even begin to understand causing them to reject the idea of hybrids. Centuries of "breeding" the finest human specimens they could find and applying Lamarck-based theories of evolution (recently proven at least part true) upon the resulting people resulted in a line of humans with a superior body, but prone to some genetic diseases which were obliterated from their DNA in the last part of the development, which took place during the last few decades, when the group was given an enormous budget and started to tamper with genetics.
The few specimens which emerged alive from the latest experiments and escaped from being thrown into the "refuse pile" were then trained since childhood in inhumane ways to resist and attack. These days, the most recent "spawn" stands proudly, their minds and body several times more resilient than common humans, to serve the society until they draw their last breath, which won't take long taking in account the power the enemy wields. Alexei is one of them.
He stands at 5'10", and due to genetic meddling, his appearance is slightly odd. His hair is of a bright white with silvery strands, despite his boyish, young face, as if he had the hair of a man decades his senior. His eyes are heterochromatic, with the right being of a lavender color and the left, a honey-like yellow, mostly because the "programmers" thought it would be interesting. His body is well-built with sleek, strong muscles, and his pale skin has occasional scars, mainly on the chest and back area due to corporal punishment steeming from achieving results "less than satisfactory". He was also indoctrinated fully as to the extent of his insignificance when compared to the powerful men who control him and to what he has to save and protect, being sent into field operations because he is one of the most sociable recruits of his batch.
The Council of the organization is overly optimistic and expects this new generation of genetically-engineered soldiers to survive past the incredible mark of 25 years if they are not killed in combat before making to their 20th birthday.

Basically they are trained, constantly sent into battlefields, have their fluids collected and tested, are tortured with exposure to supernatural influences to make sure their mental fortitude is within the required "standards" and are discarded when no longer deemed necessary. On the bright side, they are given high-tech gear because they are expensive commodities. On the bad side, being one of them sucks.

Name/Codename/Title: SarCha the Broodlord
Enemy Type: Abyssal, Great Mother
Form/Description:  SarCha himself most closely resembles a monstrous scarab beetle the size of the Superdome, but he also sports a massive scorpion-like stinger with three horrible barbs.  His "face," as it is, is nothing like anything seen on earth.  He possesses a giant maw with great circular rings of teeth, about 25 feet in diameter (though capable of expanding about three times as wide.)  Surrounding the maw are grey orbs that are most likely his eyes.  A swath of antennae run from above the mouth up toward the top of his face.  SarCha possesses ten great pairs of legs, and a pair of pincers in front capable of cutting a bus in half with ease.  Below the mouth are three tentacle-like proboscises that can extend up to fifty feet to snare anything it wishes to consume.  He possesses great armored wings, but is incapable of true flight, though he can flap them to slow a fall or make long leaps.  The armor plates themselves are interlocking with jagged scales sticking out.  He is capable of burrowing underground at great speed, and can jump 200-foot gaps when flapping his wings.

Though horrible in appearance, his most terrible quality is the vast number of his children that he can spew forth from his maw.  They come in three varieties:  The Sarlings, the Cha-el, and the Reapers of Men.

The Sarlings are the most common of his brood, and compromise over 90% of them.  They more closely resemble an earth beetle, though they are still a meter in length.  They are the workers of the brood, gathering food and obeying his unknown orders.  Though they are not soldiers, any one is more than a match for an average human, as it has an armored hide and sharp pincers capable of severing a limb.  Their greatest threat, though, is their enormous number- SarCha is capable of belching forth a thousand of them in the time it takes most humans to realize what it is that they are seeing.

The Cha-el are the soldiers of SarCha.  They are insectoid in appearance, standing some fifteen feet on six legs with great chitinous wings.  They have four powerful arms, each with three humanlike hands.  The hands are used in multiple ways, to grab their prey and rip them apart, to throw rocks, boulders, or Sarlings at any threats, or to improvise other weaponry.  They possess much cunning, and are able to use human weaponry that fits in their large frames.  They are capable of flight, and have been known to chase aircraft down.  Even when there is no threat, a few are released with the Sarlings to act as herders.

There are only four Reapers of Men, but that is still four too many.  Should SarCha call any of them forth, it is because he perceives a great threat to his children.  SarCha must stretch his mouth out for them, as each resembles a fifty-foot praying mantis of frightful power.  They possess chillingly human faces, but their eyes are empty and soulless, and betray no emotion whatsoever.  Each one has two massive scythe blade arms, easily able to slice through concrete buildings.  Below that, they have two humanlike arms that will grasp, throw, and otherwise support the main offensive of their arms.  Any human consumed by one has its soul trapped within, to suffer eternally within its body.  These souls produce a wailing cacophony- this sound heralds the arrival of the reapers.  Should all four reapers be gathered in one place, this wailing induces madness in all who hear its horror.  The sound from three is enough to send mortal man quaking to his knees in fear.


SarCha's intentions are unclear, but he certainly wishes to consume.  His hunger knows no bounds, and he is very protective of his children.  Any harm upon them is sure to draw the wrath of thousands more of his horrible brood.

Very good. With Tiruin's app in, I've started writing the first post. Word count at 2 players done: 1831. With a bit of effort, I can become the nameless horror that spews forth walls of text like no tomorrow again. It's good I get to uphold some traditions around here.
