Technically it's not a disease. It's a polymorphic phenotype. And hell, technically vampirism isn't a THING, they just sort of group themselves like that because it's convenient. And I don't think anyone is saying they can do no wrong, they're saying that objectively speaking, the only two vampires we've actually met are about 1000% better people than Vornar. okay technically two of three but the third one is barely a fucking vampire because she's ascended to a higher plane of existence.

What about pseudo superposition? Basically splitting an object into multiple copies that cannot impart anything to other objects before selecting one copy and making it truly real while erasing the other copies. That could explain how Circe deflected the bullet. Plus she'd be lethal with a shotgun if she creates a pseudo superposition of each pellet.
