Turn 7: Joe You Sonovabitch

Good work indeed.

Examine Demons for any difference from the first, then attempt to reverse air current to try to break one of the demons into the ground. The nearest one.

Edit: (Not even one xp? Peaceful scenario though, I'm betting its rounded down? :P)
They look pretty similar, though you'd have to study them in more detail to say for sure.

[5+2-1] vs [6] You sweep one of the demon's legs right from under it, though it just rolls face first and keeps running.

+1 Wind


Sigh and punch a demon in the face
[1] vs [6] You punch at a demon, who sidesteps and brings up its fists. Uh-

[6+2] vs [2-1] The wind is knocked out of you as it sledgehammers you into the ground. You think you see stars and you're not sure you can breathe.

Now Dabbling Tough



Cut them down, with my sword of justice
[5+2] vs [1] You split one down the middle, the sides sliding apart and carrying on past you like you're some kind of anime heroine.

+1 Swords (because you should really get experience for that)

You decide the necromancer could really use some victory right now.

[1+1-1] Unfortunately, perhaps because of her dazed state, it appears to come out as a dance of death. Brook swoons into unconsciousness.

Brook: -3 HP


Use my wolf talisman to try and call any wolf spirits to our aid.  If that doesn't work throw my spear into the nearest demon.
[6-1-1] You hold up the talisman, and a faint ghostly howling answers. A wispy whitish ghost wolf, fairly small, materializes in front of you and lunges for a demon.

[5+1] vs [4] The demon jerks back, but gains some fang rakes across one of its arms.

+4 Summoning

Getting back barefooted will gonna hurt...

Enchant Clair's sword to strike harder.
[4+1-1] You do so, Clair's sword glowing a light blue from the change.

Throw the rock at a demon. Realize I'll need to make more demon-seeking rocks soon.
[6-1+1] vs [5] The demon very nearly dives aside, but the rock curves itself to glance off its head anyway.

You see this, you hellspawn weaklings? Yeah, I'll slay you all, you hear?
[1+2-3] Your challenge doesn't quite have the intended effect. Rather than being cowed, they seem to take that as a challenge and rush to attack.

You're pretty sure this is familiar.

[3+1] vs [6] You dive-roll away from the first one's swinging.
[1+1] vs [3] You stumble back from the second's wide, clumsy swings.
[1+1] vs [1] The last manages to get a glancing body-blow in, but can't grasp you or get a real hit.

Steal Borrow some health from a teammate with a lot of health and isn't directly up close and fighting the demons with my necromancy.

Turn 8: Anime Bullshit Everywhere


Steal Borrow some health from a teammate with a lot of health and isn't directly up close and fighting the demons with my necromancy.
[3+2-2] You stagger back to consciousness, brought back by a victory dance.

You then proceed to nibble from the other healer before being sucked up against that crafter guy. Talk about awkward.

2 dmg dealt to Catherine
+2 HP
+1 Necromancy



Ninjadodge my way around and onto the back of the nearest demon, and wrestle him to the ground.
[5+1] vs [3] You headlock and then drop-slam the nearest demon into the ground.

[1+1] vs [6+2] Another nearby demon raises its fists to slam down on you, only to notice that you've vanished completely in the process of dashing over to bring down its friend.

1 dmg dealt
Wrestling with demon
+1 Fistfighting
+1 Dodging (extradodge)



Charge and impale the demon being attacked by the spirit wolf.
[2+1] vs [6] Your spear wiffs past the demon's face as it hurls itself backwards.

[3+1] vs [1] Right into the spirit wolf's waiting jaws. It's savaged rather badly, but not quite slain.

[3+1] vs [1] It does bash the wolf back into nothingness in its struggles, however.

Lesser Spirit Wolf slain

[3+1-1] You lift your worst-off allies' spirits, even bringing the necromancer back to consciousness. She repays you by stealing even more life from Catherine.

Demon Slain!


Inspire my allies with some nice battle music! With that flute! There's no way this can go wrong.
[5+1-1] You briefly improve Joe's dodging ability, which is good because at least one demon still wants to maim him. It seems a bit excessive, but he does look kind of cool ninjaing around like that.

+2 Inspiration


Draw a rune on the ground around Brook that will keep the demons away.
[1+2-2] You end up creating some sort of weird vaccum rune which mashes you and Brook together.

It's a bit awkward.

Ignore the spear, and use my rage at the wolf's demise to empower me with the ferocity of the wolves, sharpening my fangs.  Then, bite out the demons throat.
