This is bay 12, burning stuff down is just how we roll.

Please try to remember your supposed to be killing each other, unless you get cocky or do something very wrong you'll never need to meet me.

I don't fear you given what happened in the other game we're both in when you headed an elite police force.

Well, let's say you're going away from Earth on huge spaceship and suddenly shit goes wrong and you have Super Mutants. Social Experiments prepared them for this.

Sorry, you can't stop it now. One of the principal driving forces of Bay 12 is the desire to circumvent the GM's intentions. You can't stop it. If you make a  nice game about politics, it'll end up about totalitarian technocracies on the moon.

Oh for crying out...

This game was supposed to be about guilds fighting each other, and now everyone want to burn the city down.
And the game hasn't even started!

Why does this always happen in my games?
You forgot to keep the secret to after the game starts. Plus you forgot player instinct. In games like this, their goal is to dispose of those of higher power than them. The guards are apparently of higher power than any of us. Our instinct is to annihilate them and fight over the spoils.

Actually, any gamer wants to beat the GM. But from what I've seen over the last couple of years, Bay12 takes that and goes WAYYYY to the extreme, and often, GM's love it XD

True enough. I remember a suggestion game I was a part of where we were given an SMG and a pistol and we immediately discarded them in favor of an imaginary minigun that shoots mind bullets, simply because above all else Bay 12 does not like being told what it can and cannot do.

Until Dansmitthers posted his character, I had no idea what a Pangolin was.
I approve.

I'll shorten the class name to Tactician, since that seems to be what you're going for, and you have an unspent stat point of your choice.

Well luckily for us then you kinda have to fight each other.

If you don't you'll never get strong enough to fight with me, so enjoy killing each other and try to put on a good show, brownie points for anything who kills his enemy without making a mess on my streets.

Put it in Eloquence. Also, Tactician is fine, as long as I can be a middle-managing tactican.

When you perform actions, you'll have a small squad of 6-12 rookie guild members to accompany you, so that's what your managing.

Well, now you did it.
Actually, if you look at the maps, there's a fair bit of neutral ground that you can go after before the territory is contested.
