The problem was that their "We are the 99%!" Was, A) Untrue, 99% of them were Upper Middle Class kids going to expensive, Ivy League colleges, B), They were raging at the wrong people, Stockbrokers were targeted simply because they work the stock market, while the Extremely Liberal and etreamlly rich Senators and Congressmen (And Women) were ignored. C), Wealth Inequality is a bad thing, but Unless you were born into it, or married into it, you shouldn't be hated simply because you have more than someone else. D) Someone having a lot of money does not keep wealth from flowing. If there was a Finite amount of wealth in the world, there would be, but Wealth is Generated, not Static. And finaly, E) The Corporations that people were protesting never said anything resembling "Let them eat cake." Certain Corporations were targeted, while others were ignored. Apple, for example, uses Child Slave Labor in third world countries, where quite a few children end up killing themselves rather than b forced to work in those kind of conditions, yet no one protested outside of Apple's headquarters.

tl;dr, No one was hoarding the wealth, certain people didn't have as much as other people, and revolted because of it, while ignoring the actual plight of actual 99%ers.

Oh, and BTW, before anyone accuses me of being some kind of Rich-Loving ultra-rightwinger teabagger, Let me say this; I'm twenty years old, and I live with my Dad, and even though I havea  job, I struggle to help pay for rent, energy, and the like because we are under (Literally) the poverty line.

Trust me, I understand the occupy movement, and what it originaly meant. But it eventually got changed to something born out of Jealousy.

7. Wealth inequality was increasing each passing day.

9. The "T.C" (Türk Cumhuriyeti, Turkish Republic) phrase was being removed from a lot of ministries.
10. The third bridge that was being built in Turkey was named "Yavuz Sultan Selim" an Ottoman emperor who committed genocide against 11. Alevi Muslims. Erdoğan's hatred against Alevi Muslims was well-known before this.
12. Erdoğan said "Take your mother and leave" to a villager who said "Anamız ağlıyor" ("our mothers are crying", a Turkish idiom meaning "we are going through lots of trouble") while complaining to him.
13. The answers for an exam people have to go through while registering to an university was stolen. Fundamentalist organizations gave the answers to their followers. Government acted like nothing happened.
14. Erdoğan called the founders of Turkey, Atatürk and İnönü, "two drunkards"
15. Erdoğan said "Oğlum gemi değil gemicik aldı" (My son bought a tiny-ship not a ship (-cik suffix is diminutive)) when questioned about the 94 meters long, 14.5 meters wide and 95 meters high ship his son bought.
16. Erdoğan's son Ahmet Burak Erdoğan hit Sevim Tanürek, an artist, while she was crossing on the street. The accusations about the driver's faults was denied and Sevim Tanürek was found 8 on 8 guilty. Sevim Tanürek died 5 days later in the hospital.
17. He keeps destroying green areas and selling them to investors. Gezi Park is not the first.

There was shortage of medicine and medical tools, but there wasn't any shortage of volunteers. There were faculty members and assistant teachers as much as medical students. There were people who didn't run away from pepper spray and actually went to the most intense areas thinking "There must be more wounded there" without a gas mask or any kind of filter. The wounded gave this people the power to resist. The people we tried to help never said "what the hell am I doing here?" and none of them were regretting being there. None of them cried. There were people who had open wounds on their shoulders and heads, people who (we suspected) had cervical trauma, they were making jokes and laughing at their wounds.

All things considered, the true heroes among us were the people who were collecting active pepper gas capsules with their torn gloves and deactivating them by throwing them to water or throwing them back at police. None of them had special gloves or gas masks, we found the power to move on thanks to them.

There are lots of more unconfirmed deaths raining down all across Turkey. I think the confirmed number of deaths is close to 10 now. I talked to a friend in İzmir and he said police is entering apartments and attacking people in their homes. There are lots of links and information flying around in this stream channel.

Assad is probably sitting in his Palace laughing his ass off. And possibly sending off messages along the line of "WHAT DID I TELL YOU? WHAT DID I FUCKING TELL YOU? MESS WITH ME AGAIN ASSHOLE." Turkey has been VERY anti-Assad, so it's more likely Irony, and the Turkish government ends up being a hypocrite.
