I can see the character with levels in Saint. Chi seems more fitting than magic for some reason.

Sounds good to me, and it makes sense considering chi is more inner bodily energy and stuff like that if I recall (although magic in this 'verse is the body and soul itself though, although I guess Chi may be a different spin on it, like a different way to tap into the same stuff?).

Would Saint be that of a certain deity, or just one in general? If it is of a certain deity, what god is the most about perseverance, intense training, and going beyond the peak of the mortal form in physical ability? Well, regardless of whether saint is of a certain deity or not that question still stands.

Shin, actually. Discipline, training, self reliance, not much on magic except the minimum needed for efficiency.

Shin and Mingan were initially mortals. Both earned Godhood by powermurdering their way to divinity.

Halloran is all about order, the greater good, and how free will is evil.

Halloran is not what I was looking for(kinda the opposite, actually), and Daimonas is evil.

So seriously none of the gods dislike magic specifically? Or disdain it or whatever?

Mostly Shin if any of them disdain it. Most of them  are amused by non-divine magic and have been playing Universe for eons upon eons.

It's a tool, pretty much. Now, that's not to say they are all lovingly welcome of all power. Coranthiir obviously hates Free Magic, for one. Shin outright bans necromancy to his true followers, etc, etc.

So you could design a character who uses auric powers who hates and works against magic. The more specific the magic, the more effective the counter.

By that point, I expect two or three more points total, five at best, and there should be a good story explaining why.

Breastplate - 4 slash / 4 pierce / 2 bludgeon / 2 ballistic, roughly. I'm sorry, I haven't looked at the numbers in a while.

Chi powers. They get called "auric" because quite a few practitioners have fancy SFX and reading auras is almost as important as literacy when it comes to chi. Also, and mostly, it's to not sound like Naruto and/or Dragon Ball Z.

Hmmm. Mebbe. I had been thinking anti-magic flavor, more, but that might work too(kindof a 'Supernatural=evil, I must stop supernatural stuff' thing, but maybe not. It depends).

Here's the first version of my planned character for Act 1.5. I didn't really have a reference point for it, so let me know if something is unbalanced for the level.

Race: Elementalkind, I suppose

Appearance: A towering statue constructed of burnished bronze stands, roughly resembling a powerfully-built humainoid. Its eyes are reddened and blank, its hands have been replaced with large cannons, and its shoulders seat a rotating, repeating lighter cannon and a large tube for firing explosive projectiles. On its breast lies an ornately-carved holy symbol of Shin. With a furious creaking and humming, the behemoth starts to life, vicious blades on its forearms whirring, its eyes glowing with cold light, and a crude grabbing claw protruding from a hidden compartment to snatch at objects deemed of importance to collect.

Cloaked in Steel- Icarus possesses an armored hull which provides superior protection against most forms of damage.

Weapons Platform- Icarus is outfitted with a myriad of heavy firearms which form the bulk of its damage capacity. It has two arm mounts and two shoulder mounts, all able to fit heavy weapons.

Tracking- Icarus is fitted with precise sensor systems able to track targets in the infrared as well as the visible spectrum. Its sight is unaffected by light level, and can track targets by heat signal which would otherwise be obscured, though it cannot identify what those heat sources are.
Flaws: At least 5, no more than 7.
(Critical - 3pts) Mindless- Being little more than a machine, Icarus has little will of its own, and its systems are easy for those with the proper skills to manipulate. Icarus has no Willpower score, and gets no saves against mind-affecting spells.

Rudimentary Soul- Icarus' driving force is designed for base animation, and is not suitable for magical purposes. It has no mana pool and cannot use any form of magic.

Slow- Icarus' weight and mechanical systems make its movement sluggish and clumsy, slowing move speed.

Hail of Fire- Icarus' systems have been adapted to fire and reload in a smooth motion. It reloads its weapons as part of their attack, and does not need dedicated time to do so.
Overcharge Systems- Icarus redirects power to its hydraulics, allowing it to charge forward with unusual speed and force and hit harder for a round.
Automatic Repair- Icarus has been fitted with a potent quasimagical repair system which passively restores its structural integrity, albeit slowly. It has basic regeneration.
Chainblade Attachment- Icarus' lower weapons have been fitted with whirring blades which improve its effectiveness in close combat.
Searing Glare- Icarus' eyes have been fitted with capacitors which allow it to fire a fiery energy beam from its ocular sockets.
