What happened in the newest episode with Tyrion.
Season 5 episode 5.

Spoiler: spoilers bro/ette, both for the episode and part of Tyrion's plot line in ADWD, basically the same events just in a different location (click to show/hide)

no D&D they did not go through Valyria what the fuck were you even on
That was the sunken city along the Rhoyne! Valyria's an entire peninsula, full of toxic gas and obsidian and boiling seas and fucking demons and volcanos or some shit, Gerion Lannister had to buy slaves to go in there, one guy in the books who I'll not name makes a huge fucking reputation for himself out of just sailing near the place, and in season 2 you had a guy being painted by Quaithe with ritual paints and stuff because he was heading by there! You don't just have a Tyrion and Jorah fucking waltz in there in a fucking paddle boat what the fuck. Would it have been that much trouble to just say 'oh we're heading through this one sunken city that Valyria totally fucked up back in the day, oh Valyria was so awesome diddle diddle diddle'.

It may only be an inconsistency for casual show watchers, but they're starting to ignore geography now! Rrrrrgh. This needles heavily at me.

Yeah, just watched it. From the books I got it that Valyria was like super scary and stuff. With demons and everything. And the Doom. And now its all like, eh. We got a paddleboat. It's fine.

I stopped being upset at them not really caring about the books anymore. I just pretend I'm watching some very good fanfic.

Sansa is so stupid. You need to matrimarry, matrimarry, I say! Use that dynasty prestige! Does she want to get game-over? (I wouldn't blame her to be honest, with all the horrible things that have happened)

Meanwhile, Brandon+Rickon is ''In an unknown location'' possibly caused by a glitchy event-chain. No one's sure about that.

And Arya is in the court of some random courtier on another continent and everyone would be very confused over how she got there if it wasn't for the fact that they didn't know she was alive.

So, things are looking pretty bleak for house Stark.
