Yeah, I do recall SOMEONE mentioning King Aerys' madness to her at some point. Fairly certain she didn't really listen, but that was fairly late in the series.

Nope. Unfortunately, what they are going to do is put the general true ending of the books in the show so you have to keep watching if you don't want to get spoiled by some random person on the internet not marking their spoilers for a stretch that will last years between the show's end and the time the books get finished if you're not following the show.
