But why don't the beefeaters have assault rifles?
Because, unlike the Royal Guard, Beefeaters aren't active soldiers (though most are retired soldiers), and this is England - where we're not allow to have guns
Good god look at Bjornsson's hands compared to Pascal's. They're literally twice as big.

Also, for a first time (I think) actor, Bjornsson did pretty good as the Mountain. It would've been nice if Conan Stevens had kept the job because he looked scary as shit, but I definitely wasn't disappointed.
Apart from shields not existing in TV Westeros. Seriously, Kingsguard got no shield, Gregor got no shield, Stannis got no shield...the only one I've seen is on Ser Vardis, the doughtiest motherfucker alive or dead.

I just realized the Mountain was played by 3 different guys in 3 different seasons. Not as disturbing as that sellsword that bangs dany, but still. They're fucking Game of Thrones, why can't they keep their actors?
First actor went to play a part in the Hobbit but then Peter Jackson was Peter Jackson. Second guy I dunno, think he was busy or something.
Now we have a viking, though.
They're wearing half or full plate.
Knights stopped bothering with shields when dirty peasant weapons were no longer a threat but they needed either a big sodding sword or a pole arm to smash through another knight's armor.

Aren't Ramsey and Roose just adorbs, though? It's always nice to get a genuinely sweet and touching moment with those two.

Yeah. Mind you, it's mainly because show Ramsay is less of a despicable fucknugget than in the books.

EDIT: Anyone else notice Roose's paunch?

When they aren't flaying people. I'm getting Richard III vibes in that though he was an evil bastard, he was deathly loyal to his dad.

And so far he seems to be the only father in the series that is totally accepting of, and actually decent to, his Bastard Son.

I swear Catelyn has a convo about how she finds it odd that some fathers disown bastards or else treats them as their own.

Admittedly though, Robert and Ned did treat their bastards well given the circumstances,  Cersei's dicking around notwithstanding.

Wat
You forgot about Neddard of house Bean Stark. Raised his son at his own home even when it caused marriage problems and he could've easily fostered him off somewhere.

Ned raised his son out of guilt, and he made that pretty clear, and Cat did everything she could to rub it in.

There's a reason Jon ran away to the wall. He was never "accepted" any more than Theon was, he was... an obligation. Not a true son.

Also, do people still hate Cersei, and other than the recent Tyrion stuff, what did she ever do that was actually... bad, you know?

I was reading some stuff on another forum, and I realized that honestly, she got fucking screwed in so many ways, and much like Tyrion people tend to blame her for a lot of stuff she's not responsible for. Hell, I think some people still think she tried to assassinate Bran.

True dat. Though I'm pretty sure Roose is only doing these things for Ramsay because he's his only heir that won't be a boy when he dies - he's mentioned before that boy lords are the death of a house cough Arryn cough.

And yeah, Cersei does get a lot of shit heaped on her for stuff she didn't do, but that attitude, man. That attitude. Let's see though:

Still far less of a bad guy than Littlefinger though, who basically killed everyone else.

Didn't we all agree he also started the whole series of events in the series?
