Vaguely reminds me of the GTA San Andreas character comic strip type things on the loading screens.

Oh Joffrey, even drawn as a nineties character, you still look like a douchebag.

They're GoT characters drawn as if they lived in the nineties.
Ah.

So I'm thinking, next season, the royal wedding episode. I think they should stay true the book and have the entire episode in a cooking/mockumentary show format in how they made all that fucking food, what everything is and all that stuff with talking to the camera by the staff (also Gordon Ramsay as the head chef or something), how excited they are and all that jazz.

Then in the last two minutes it happens and the crew is like "whoah" before the guards sieze the camera with shouting and screaming in the background.

I'm looking forward to the buildup. I mean, there is still SO much they need to include before then for it all to make sense.

They're normal modern people who happen to be actors, drawn as if they lived in the nineties.

Fixed. And most of those people did live in the nineties, you know.

Yeah, they totally are not based on who they play in the series.

Note the crown on Joffrey's hat, for instance. These are definitely based on the characters.

The crown is there merely because everything else is in danger of seeming too... quotidian about his portrait. In particular, the depictions of actors for Cersei, Jaime, and Sansa show how mundane all of this is. Only Momoa clearly and sharply retains the distinctive look of his character. The rest look like ordinary people. And they are ordinary people, as it turns out, who have numerous other photos on the web in everyday apparel, probably even the occasional retro outfit here and there, so this is kinda pointless.

The internet has cleverly sleuthed out the fact that regular people act roles on TV series. Yet another conspiracy unmasked!

I find they're quite good at capturing the character's character.

A forgotten decade. Is that a fairly accurate depiction of the trends?

If you don't believe me, how about the artist? Here's a quote from his most recent post: "Cersei, as an 80s glam rock star. I guess her condescending/arrogant/despising side is what drove me to this 80s superstar version of herself."

He's definitely basing these off the characters' personalities. Appearance is a large part of it, sometimes a larger part than personality (and you can see this in his other posts, such as Khal Drogo) but arguing that these aren't intended to be the characters is a little silly.

And they're looking for extras!

But I need to be in good shape to have a chance, and I'm only in somewhat good shape :C

Welp, guess I'll need to step up the exercise routine :D
