While it makes good sense in AGoT to have British actors I always wondered why Band of Brothers, another HBO show; about USA paratroopers in WWII, had so many Brits. Almost off topic, but I wonder if HBO likes to use foreign actors.

This I can understand, but it doesn't really apply to Band of Brothers as they all put on American accents (not sure how authentic it seemed over there).
