I vote you change it to something cooler like Max Frostbite, Snow Ninja.

Actually with my new found affection for the ocean, beaches, and all things tropical, I was thinking of changing to 'Azure Beach' but I don't think anybody would recognize me.

Eh, keep the rockin' lizard avatar and people will figure it out.
Eventually.

*deep breath*
In a three-day marathon of Spore with 2 friends where we did nothing but play Spore for 3 straight days apart from going to the bathroom (nosleep) I wound up with a badass species called the Xanalok. While I was playing Space Stage, I named my captain Xalohijin. Eventually the game broke for some reason, so I reintalled it and became the Xanalok once again due to my use of online account. Because I couldn't remember the name of the captain, though, I called him Xantalos. I gradually made up a backstory and everything for this guy for some reason (exterminating half the galaxy - including a Dalek Empire - probably had something to do with it), and eventually I somehow wanted to write a book. However, before I could get to the plot of said book, I wrote down the history of EVERY SINGLE THING THAT HAPPENED IN THAT UNIVERSE EVER before the plot started. Because I thought it would be cool, I made it so that every single planet in the galaxy was secretly an eldritch abomination-type thing called Xantalos that was basically the inspiration for TorZon in Slaves to DZA; could absorb any matter and shapeshift at will, etc. Because it was basically everything, and in fact the only lining thing in the galaxy, it was realy intelligent, really bored, and had so many split personalities that it was every creature in the galaxy. The plot was that there was going to be one last personality that was bigger than all the others and was absorbing them in an attempt to become one being again and the protagonists had to stop it. Anyway, I used that as my online name for a lot of stuff and I eventually made a separate backstory of an Eldritch Abomination by he name of Xantalos and here I am now.

I wanted to have a cool-sounding username. I started with Leo, decided it was too short and too common, turned it to Lea, which was still short, and finally settled with Leatra. Apparently there are lots of people with the name (real life name) Leatra. Just google it if you want. Then I changed it to Artael (reverse Leatra) but after Googling I found out that it was being used too. I tried Elatra for a while too but I returned to Leatra because that's always how people knew me.

And now you know the tale of "Leatra... shit, that's taken. Artael... shit, that's taken too. Ah fuck it."

I probably should have gotten a more original-sounding name, like:
Adolf Hitler's Rotating Testicle of Doom
I got a better one.

Stalin's Hairy Orbs of Eternal Authoritarian Nightmare
Mao's Seven Smooth Spheres of Endless Power and Veiled References
No way any of those can be taken.

When I first started playing adventure mode, I was thinking of a cool name. I remember this cartoon about a kid who wanted to be a rapper and he lived in a ghetto called Teacup. I tried thinking of a ghetto name, like Freight Train, or Dumbbell. Eventually, one day, we made cheesecake in Home EC. And so, I became Cheesecake.

FYI, I really don't like cheesecake. I think it tastes a little gross.

I have absolutely no idea. I suppose it was because I wanted a name I could stick with, and qwerty was not original. Werty sounded enough like a real name so I went with it. The numbers at the end? No clue, however its always 894 or 892, so sometimes just Werty.

Google said spanish, but I'm not sure how accurate that is :S

Mine is, like before, RL nickname with an X at the back for added coolness.

I moved to Wales when very young and the kids in my class thought my English accent sounded really posh.  It started out as a tease, but I made it my own.

I shall use the power of the quote.

Quote
I got my username ages ago when I was just starting to use online accounts. I wanted something that wouldn't be taken, so I named myself after a minor character in a book I had just finished. Later I found out the actual name was Ramuthra and I had been misspelling it the whole time. It's never taken though, so I can use it for everything.

Drawing on my spotty knowledge of Spanish and the meaning of the name, 'dormi' is close to 'dormir' (to sleep), so I'd hazard a guess that it's a Romance language (or possibly a creole or pidgin derived from one).

... yeah, tangential to the discussion, but, uh. It took me like six years to notice I was misspelling my email address. Needed a k instead of an o. Yahoo account still has the old one, gmail's got the corrected one. Felt a little silly when I found out.
