Why you get someone who can run faster than you to grab something for you? Because it's easier. He could use us as a hitgod, extra source of income(you live, you help me fight and give me some mana), a 'shield' so to say(don't let that other god take any villages near your village!). We could be useful to him, and one village isn't much of a loss. Sure, he probably will just say 'lolno' and tell us to get lost, but we may as well try.

And we don't know how strong he is. He could have dragons that shoot black holes and feed on rainbows for all we know. Our umbral cattle are.... Cattle.

And that is all we have. What are we gonna do? Convert all the cows and send them in his direction? No more cattle.

Send villagers? They're random villagers who are starved and dehydrated. And not even all the villagers converted yet.

That's about normal livestock size. Horns aren't that scary, not compared to swords, the carapace will handle said swords as well as Incan flesh and leather handled Spanish swords, speed is perhaps a concern if we had any to throw away in combat, and they have all the combat skill and killer instinct of a cow.

I would suggest that we perhaps turn the land against him?  Maybe we darken the skies around his armies, so his forces cannot navigate, we can turn the very land through which he marches against him, for there is life everywhere, and we can attack even more directly with our singularly powerful ability to generate force.

A couple things to note:
1. You haven't seen the Umbral Bulls yet, so I haven't made the distinctions between male and female.
2. The cows have an exoskeleton, like an insect, not scale or leather.

You know what?  Just leave.  He can't stop you from leaving his land.  Take those who wish to follow you with you, and those who prefer to die, shall stay.  Take the people and settle somewhere less dead.  If he tries to follow, just use *the force* to push him away, as far as you can.  He can live with his totem.  We'll set out and strike the earth, dwarven style.  Preferably in a terrifying biome.  No wait, we'll just make it terrifying.

Force = Army.  Darkness + Life + Force = Undead Army of Darkness

Darkness + Life + Human = Vampire

Force + Human = Beowulf/Dovakin/Some Other Awesome Hero.

You realise that we're a god of LIFE, not DEATH.  As such utilising the undead just ain't gonna happen.

Well lets try to avoid starting war right here, right now. We won't kick his ass, but it will take some time for army to rise
Actually lets try to give him Corai's offer - we will give a part of mana profit from village and some (possibly minor)battle support, and he will lift curse. That way he will benefit on mana, village on prospering, and our start will be much easier.
Meanwhile lets start preparing for serious war.

Actually he is mistaking DARKNESS for DEATH

Remurtha, could you please color elements in first post so we won't mess up them?

Darkness + Life + Human = NECROMANCER

I thought about it a little more.  Well if we could create some kind of cow-bug, why can't we raise an army of undead?  We'd be at least be able to create mushrooms.  I also figured that we could just use life to create the army of undead, but the darkness would be *extra*.  I also thought death magic only applied to sacrifices.  I guess we could create new life in the bodies of the dead, but not make the dead come back to life.  That would require death and life.

I had an idea to deal with the altar.  The gm said there would be a rush of hostile energy.  We could create a being to capture that energy.  This being would probably be dominated by the rush of souls, and may become a *boss battle*.

I figure that if he tries to kill us, we'll be equal until one of us use all of our mana up.  We'll probably take all of his cultists though, and strip him of his power.  Unless he has more, elsewhere.

^ You are going on to war without having any intel on his troop composition or common tactics this will end badly for us if we do.

And raising the dead is in the realm of DEATH, not life, DEATH.  We can create life, not bring it back.  We can form new life on top of the old, but not bring 'em back.  What you're asking for is entirely out of our range of capabilities.
