You were planning to have a 15 year old magical girl kill Witches by drinking them under the table!? It's original, at least.

We really need to get this to stop. Shall we examine the altar?

Who thinks we should create a creature which wanders to neighboring lands, and collects water in a giant sac which can be squeezed by the villagers to release harvested water? With biological filters which allow for potability.
A suitable creature yes?
Solves the water problem!
Talk to the prophet for sure. Ask for a general explanation of divine matters.

Well, I'm not sure, but that sounds like something that would be blocked by the antiwater ward. Although if it isn't...what should the base critter be?

It could just use a water-like milky secretion. Then it's not water!
A cow, insect, anything which produces milk, worms.
Giant ants with water-like substance in their abdomen sounds nice?
(Is it odd I think of banelings when I imagine the creature?)

Just dump a ton of blood on the altar. That should buy us time and a convert. Make sure it's human blood, mind you.

Oh boy. It was THE LIGHTNING MAGE DUDE!
We must inform him that we saved him!
And are willing to save the village!
Locate the Man! Tell him it was not his patron who had saved him, but LORIMRE!
