Wasted oppertunity. Symbolism is half the point of animal-based fiction.

Must be tough for hungry North Koreans to watch all those delicious animals fighting each other and lying in pools of gravy blood.

I should add that although people have already come to suspect the translation from the video is fake, there's some really obvious tip offs that y'all missed somehow?

For example he says "In european countries disguised as America..."

Which seems like an obvious joke but I'd expect him to sort of break character or something for that.

Could be a badly-worded historical allusion, ala "America believes they are different from the imperialist European colonizers, but they aren't".

It might be fake, but given that it's roughly on par with a lot of the crazy propaganda that is actually real, I can honestly believe it's real.

Time for some music.
Curiously, this song doesn't seem to mention neither the Great Leader nor the Party.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

People's ground army ♥

[Notice the cheeky daffodils blurred out. Daffodils represent uncertainty, chivalry and unrequited love. High quality propaganda right there].

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I just realized how much Kim Jong-Un looks like a korean Neo here. Kim Jong-Un is vigilant even among his own generals - especially among his own generals. When you work for the motherland you work hard!

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Kim Jong-Un on the lookout for South Korean meddling kids.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Kim Jong-Un appreciates you with GRAND MASTER APPLAUSE.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

North Korea goes to the movies to watch Godzilla vs Mothra. It is a classic, despite its Western origins.

Rounds of applause were garnered.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Kim Jong-Nam was the heir apparent to the North Korean leadership until 2001, where a great incident occurred - Kim Jong-Nam attempted to sneak into Disneyland via disguise and fake passport. He was deported by Japan to China and from China to GTFOutistan. Kim Jong-Nam spends his spare time fleeing North Korean assassin attempts, criticizing the North Korean leadership (his brother no less) and being a bro by giving photographers hi-5s. He is largely considered the best Kim, the top bro-tier one by Western portrayal. In North Korean media he is a scandalous secret that is not referred to. When the North Koreans asked for Kim Jong-Un, they supported him by proxy through supporting his mother.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Don't quite know the context here or why he's shaking hand and tentacle with an octopus. But it's one of the few times when Kim Jong-Un appears to be jovial, happy and down to Earth, as opposed to a stoic sage.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Those guys crying. Dawww. Cult personalities in political dictatorships are a lot like fangirls and Twilight. Except instead of Team Jacob and Team Edward or 13 year old girls it's 9 million soldiers and Team Kim.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Kim Jong-Un attempting to divide by circle while delivering a speech. It is too much for mortal humans to comprehend - not for good Ol' Kim Jong-Un though. Apparently.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

This is what I love about countries living in the Soviet Era. No advertisements blocki - WHO PUT THE BILLBOARD THERE, VERY FUNNY GUYS.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

If it's one thing the Olympics have taught me, it is that no matter how crap your country is, as long as you have medal winning athletes you're fine.
YAY NATIONALISM

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

North Korean major/equivalent looking pretty for the camera.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Good symbolism right there with Kim Jong-Un holding the chariot to his father's body.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Glorious, advertisement free lands of - IT'S THE FUCKING BILLBOARD AGAIN.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

North Koreans have grasped the concept that hat = power, and so are increasing the amount of hats they have from 20% of all personnel to 50%. They aim to have 100% by Tuesday's bird roast, and are critical that America opposes their hat program when America has so many hats that their civilians wear them.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Rumours the North Koreans are testing the world's funniest joke on its own citizens has been vehemently denied by the North Korean flying circus.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Ymra dnuorg eht nioj.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

It is a war crime to fire at tea lady's shop. This is tea lady. She makes the tea.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

It's always sunny in North Korea!
(Possibly due to nuclear tests).

North Korean troops break out their best camouflage and practice superior fire stances in preparation for glorious combat.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I call fake. North Koreans wouldn't release images of their soldiers shooting with their eyes shut nor do they like to show off their combat gear.

Dammit, North Korea, keep your sterotypes straight!

The only people who are nearby you and don't hate your guts are the Chinese! And even then they just tolerate you until you prove yourself too difficult to manage. Dogs totally fit the British from a North Korean perspective. They're basically the same as wolves, except cowardly and will follow the wolves to the ends of the Earth just to not speak up for itself. See? Negative sterotype with correct animals for it.

British dog is the bulldog.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Subverts the theme you'd be going for. If you instead had a ferret or a jackal shadowing Americawolf, you could effectively portray Britain as a sneaking cowardly scavenger that is dependent on America - and would stupidly follow it to the ends of the Earth because there's a trail of food leading there!

Isn't Britain that one that promises to hold Singapore while asking for more troops for their front, then doesn't hold Singapore and leaves you to get eaten by the Japanese army while all your guys are over in Europe?

By the way, thanks for that one US of A...

Of course, no singer will ever be able to match the majestic tenor of the Eternal President.
Quote
In this rare clip from the Korean movie "Always Together Working For The People" Great Leader Eternal President Marshal Kim Il Sung warms the hearts of all Koreans and world progressives by singing the revolutionary song "Nostalgia" with the deep emotion of serving the people for their happiness and thus gaining their boundless admiration and passionate worship in single-minded unity.
