claim the boots and bloodsword, have someone check them for curses before wielding/wearing them
Head back and grab the druids corpse then follow the others

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

Charles puts out a hand to stop the others taking the gear. 'Let me get this first.'(10+5/19+5/1+5/9+4/15+4) 'Well I'm not picking ant curses up at least. The helmet, in particular, feels very powerful.' Fitting the gear on the kobold, he seems unaffected, and so you distribute the loot. Joe, meanwhile, flies from the mound, enjoying the newfound freedom. You quickly follow, glad to take in the fresh air of the copse, and glad also to get away from the strange cloud which was his body, and which resists all attempts to retrieve it. Kim puts on the helmet as a test, and is amazed to find that he suddenly becomes entirely aware of his surroundings, despite not actually being able to see them. The boots and sword, if they have any abilities at all, are much more subtle.

"Well Sasha, looks like I need to engage Project Genesis. What do you think? Heheheheh..."
Fly back to town, inquire about local mages, loci of magical energy, and magic artifacts.

"Hey Rothe wanna hand me one of the three swords your carrying?" Sir Lunnar asks as he makes OBVIOUS displays that the Wood-axe isn't exactly the best weapon ever for him.

Continue existing with the group. I demand that be rolled.

As the group surface, they check to see if everyone is present. Sir Lunnar seems especially solid (20[/20]+10). In fact, he even seems to have a sort of super-existence, to the point that he gains a completely useless skill! [Existing +5]

Pleased, the party returns to Aela. But it soon becomes clear that all is not well. The remains of the once great city lie aflame, and the surrounding lands seem devoid of both life and unlife. You can do nothing but wait for the flames to die down, before entering the smouldering ruins. The only structure left even remotely intact is the tavern, although the interior is both empty of life and exposed to the elements by a huge hole in the far wall. There aren't even any corpses, nor any items of use. The map however remains miraculously intact. Part of it at least. It shows a town named Haltar about a days travel north of the copse, and on the southern side, another town named Antos.

'I say we rebuild. It would be for the best."

Rebuild if others agree. Do not if they don't.
