I'm trying to thing of a catchy slogan a la "REMOVE KEBAB" but I'm stuck on hilariously weird derogative terms for Greeks. Can anyone help?

The last time Greece won it's independence they got Russian support, made a show of adhering to German political systems but in the end the real victors were the French.

No, Syriza are a left-wing anti-austerity party. They generally call themselves moderate Euroskeptics and anti-establishment (ironically, they are now the establishment).

Regarding Turkey chances to get into the EU: it's not like they are so quick to do that... EU seems like it is rotting from the inside, and they see it. Actually letting go of Greece would make a whole new crisis, perhaps only political, but anyway, I don't think it would take less than a year to manage all the fallout, even assuming that it would be the only country to leave, and who knows how will the EU look a year from now, even with no major changes like someone leaving?

Yeah, also there is a fair bit of barely-concealed contempt at the idea of letting so many poor Muslims in the EU in many countries.

It does seems like a stupid way to start their business: Styriza's entire platform boils down to "negotiate better terms for the bail-out" (not a bad thing IMO), but they'll need all the goodwill they can fin in other capitals. This seems like a weird way to start.

Btw, the headline on Russia is misleading : they didn't oppose the resolution, they oppose the fact that they weren't consulted at all.
Traditional parties will go out of their way to sabotage them, and the media will help enthusiasticly, don't belive anything you read without doubble checking the facts at the source.

I'm reserving my stance on Syriza for the moment. They seems to have very capable peoples on board, and that's a good thing.

They're not, most of them have barely been in politics before PASOK was resoundly defeated last election. Even less have been in management or leadership roles outside of trade unions and other hard socialist places like that where connections often mean more than skill. The worst is Tsipras (party leader and new prime minister), who has done nothing all his life but get elected, join protest marches and having a way with words. I have zero respect for them, but thankfully I got out before it was too late.

Syriza and their coalition partner have strong ties to the Kremlin though, and to people one could with good conscience call enemies too.
