If they continue like that, I'll gladly join any protest to remove them from the EU, yeah.
I'm trying to thing of a catchy slogan a la "REMOVE KEBAB" but I'm stuck on hilariously weird derogative terms for Greeks. Can anyone help?

REMOVE GYROS

It doesn't even change the dish it refers to.

REMOVE TURK

Fun fact: the guy in that picture is in fact Greek and he sued the company when he found out they had been using his picture on their "Turkish Yoghurt" for like 30 years.

Greeks! Not as unlike Turks that they really, really want to think they are :P

The new government of Greece is rapidly becoming a major pain in the ass for the EU.
It's a trap: Greece will become best buddies with Russia, in exchange for some lucrative deals. This helps with Greek finances and in turn with the Euro crisis. Greece will need more and more money, which will bring Russia close to bankruptcy in no time and force them to give in with the Ukraine crisis. Boom, all problems solved.  :P

25 things that will definitely happen in the UK general election campaign. If you want to understand what a British general election is like, you needn't look anywhere else.
I may have never set foot in the UK, but yet this still just seems so...right.

Also, I genuinely was not sure whether Lower Pendelhampton is a real place or not (apparently it is not).

UKIP member claims that Scots descended from pygmy-neanderthal hybridization.

The last time Greece won it's independence they got Russian support, made a show of adhering to German political systems but in the end the real victors were the French.

Clearly history will repeat itself.

With the talk of Greece, isn't Syriza that nazi-like party? I know they have one, but I forget the name.

No, Syriza are a left-wing anti-austerity party. They generally call themselves moderate Euroskeptics and anti-establishment (ironically, they are now the establishment).

The "only barely trying not to be literally Greek Nazis" is Golden Dawn.

I was confused by the Russian stuff in the middle there.  I thought I was reading an article about Ukraine.

Regarding Turkey chances to get into the EU: it's not like they are so quick to do that... EU seems like it is rotting from the inside, and they see it. Actually letting go of Greece would make a whole new crisis, perhaps only political, but anyway, I don't think it would take less than a year to manage all the fallout, even assuming that it would be the only country to leave, and who knows how will the EU look a year from now, even with no major changes like someone leaving?

Yeah, also there is a fair bit of barely-concealed contempt at the idea of letting so many poor Muslims in the EU in many countries.

It does seems like a stupid way to start their business: Styriza's entire platform boils down to "negotiate better terms for the bail-out" (not a bad thing IMO), but they'll need all the goodwill they can fin in other capitals. This seems like a weird way to start.

Edit: France just out-stupided itself. An 8 years old was brought to the police station and questioned for saying "I'm with the terrorists" in school.

I'm reserving my stance on Syriza for the moment. They seems to have very capable peoples on board, and that's a good thing.

Btw, the headline on Russia is misleading : they didn't oppose the resolution, they oppose the fact that they weren't consulted at all.
Traditional parties will go out of their way to sabotage them, and the media will help enthusiasticly, don't belive anything you read without doubble checking the facts at the source.

They're not, most of them have barely been in politics before PASOK was resoundly defeated last election. Even less have been in management or leadership roles outside of trade unions and other hard socialist places like that where connections often mean more than skill. The worst is Tsipras (party leader and new prime minister), who has done nothing all his life but get elected, join protest marches and having a way with words. I have zero respect for them, but thankfully I got out before it was too late.

Syriza and their coalition partner have strong ties to the Kremlin though, and to people one could with good conscience call enemies too.
