Bio: Alec grew up in a big city in the US. He was large by most standards, even as a kid, and its served him well enough. He's never been the most dexterous, indeed Alec considers himself a bit accident prone, it not being too uncommon for him to bump into things due to his large frame. He's never been the brightest either, didn't do too bad in school but did noticeably lag behind some of the other students. It wasn't that he couldn't apply what he learned, it was that it simply took him longer to learn something that came more naturally to others.
But, what he prides himself in is his strength. Being large, most people let him be as who would want to mess with that one kid about a foot or two taller than about everyone else? That was always fine with him, left him time to himself. Alec always appreciated his time alone, enjoyed it indeed. For when he was alone, all the pressures of the world just slipped away from him, he could relax without having to feel like he was constantly playing catch-up with everyone around him. He never really had to work hard to make his body strong, it always just seemed to be so. Knocks he's taken would often harm others, but to him it was just something he'd shrug off. Alec never found a reason to voice his pain, it was always something that was passing, something he often forgot about five minutes later anyway, so why give it a voice? He's gotten more than one weird look for stubbing his toe and taking it in silent stride with nothing more than a grimace.
But indeed, what he prided himself on the most however, was strength of spirit. While he may not of been the most brightest, he still tried his hardest to learn, while he may not of been the most dexterous, he still tried his hardest to watch his step as he could. From what he's seen, his strength has been a boon to him, one that he should use to help instead of hurt people. He's often used to giving it his all when he needs to, so he shies not from hard work.
Joining the Archangels wasn't that big of a leap for him. While he would of preferred to make instead of break, he understands that he has a certain talent with stuff and before he joined Archangel, he was a demolistionist. Not the kind that worked with bombs mind you, more the kind that worked with the machines, wielded a jack hammer or a sledge. People would often have things brought up that they didn't wish there anymore, so he was paid to bring it down. When the troubles began, and became a threat, he didn't panic but rather went to see what he could do to help as best he could. This led him to Archangel
The jetcopter begins its decent, as your mask pops off your face once again. You look outside, finding yourself in the middle of a calm ocean. Everyone readies their new weapons as the jetcopter begins its decent. You can't see what Oto is flying towards, though the ocean seems to get closer every minute. Soon, the jetcopter plants itself on a concrete "H", and your squad exits. You look around, finding yourself on a relatively small offshore platform, about the size of two normal buildings. Several large steel columns rise up to the concrete base, with unimpressive steel structures jutting out of it, making it look like a half-finished skyscraper of sorts. That is one word that describes this strange place well, unfinished. You follow the squad along, leading to heavy door, like one you would expect to see on a submarine, in the concrete. As your squad approaches, the door opens with a squeak.
You file into the room behind Oto and David once again, Tommy and Helena apparently still slowed by their massive guns. You find yourself in a poorly lit stairway, like one used to get into a subway station, with long concrete stairs leading you downward. A man, a middle aged looking man with dark hair and glasses, walks next to Otonashi as he passes. His long lab coat trails behind him slightly. He begins to speak to Otonashi, not loud enough that you can hear the entire conversation but loud enough that you can catch snippets. "Hi Otonashi! I have not seen you in....How is the wife?.......Sorry I...." is what you could hear from the man, taking a familiar tone in a relatively high voice. He continues to lead the squad downward for several moments, small talking with Oto the entire way.
You soon make it to a second submarine like door, which the man in the lab coat opens. It leads you into a better lit room, open to the elements, with a small boat on a cement dock. There where two woman standing next to it, both greeting your squad with a salute. One was a relatively tall woman, relative to the average human that is. She had shortish blond hair down to the neck, under a black beret with a modified Archangel logo on it, a white and gold shield larger then that on the standard logo with the word "Guardian" on it. Her salute was rather casual, and she had a happy smile on her face, as if she was exited about the upcoming battle. She had a large shotgun on her back, one that appears to be the same model that Tommy is currently using. The next individual was shorter then the average person, with dark brown hair a little shorter then the blond's hair. She was wearing a similar beret, but had a much more serious looking salute and face. Her equipment resembled Helena's more then anyone else's, with three guns on her back. Two look like the one Tommy brought along, large but not so much that a human would not be able to lift it, however the third was a large grenade launcher that looks like it should be fired from a jeep.
Your squad files into the "room" with the lab coat wearing man close behind. The short individual looks like she is about to speak, when she is interrupted by Tommy. "...Bubi?" he asked curiously, looking at the blond woman. "Helena? Tommy?" her high-pitch voiced responded. "Bubi!" Helena and Tommy enthusiastically shout as they lose the slow speed they had been walking at to rush toward her. The woman they called Bubi got on her knees and entered a kind of group hug with the two squad members, their weaponry clanking with the force. "I didn't think I would see you two here." she states as she gets up, smiling warmly at the two young squad members as she pats their heads affectionately, as if they where dogs. "You two have grown up a lot, haven't you?" she said, continuing to smile. "We havn't seen you since this all started!" Tommy states happily, "Yep! We can take out armies of mooks all by ourselves now!" Helena states. "Wow, looks like you have been eating your vegetables Helena! Your carrying that FIM-92 Stinger, that FGM-148 Javelin, and that Accuracy International like it is nothing! With all the extra ammo!" "Bubi" states, speaking to Helena. "But did you ever learn to aim?" she continued, her voice changing slightly. "Ehhh....Ijustkindaruntowardthemandspam" Helena replies, nervously. "Bubi" lightly taps Helena on her head with her fist, as she said "What have I always told you? Fight with your head, not your muscles. All those vegetables are nothing if you can't hit!" she then turns her gaze to Tommy. "And what happened to your Remington and Winchester? Where they not good enough for you?" she said jokingly. "AhnoIjustleftheminthecopter...." Tommy responds, at which the blond woman laughs. "Just kidding!" she stated happily, as she pulled her large shotgun off her back. "KS-23K? Not bad. Box mag design makes it easier to use those fancy shells you always loved. I just stuck with the KS-23, better range." she states, smiling. "Customized it myself, of course, just for this mission. I would have made it like they did the first ones, but the Russians got word of my plan and won't let me near any airplanes any more..."
"It is necessary for me to interrupt for we have urgent matters to attend to. I must suggest that we move along." Said the shorter woman, in a robotic like voice, though definitely human. She had not moved an inch from her salute, holding it perfectly through the conversation between the others goes on. "We have been ordered to introduce ourselves. I am Rikki Turning Archangel Guardian." she states, putting emphasis on each word in a robotic like form, each word stated as monotone as the last. "Oh, right!" the blond woman says, putting up a casual salute. "I am Erica Harper, Archangel Guardian!" she states happily. Your team quickly greats the two, each in their own way. Rikki is unresponsive, but breaks her endless salute when the greeting is done. Erica happily smiles and says a few words of greeting after each of your introductions.
"Now we must proceed we have wasted much time already." Rikki states in the robotic monotone, "I have been informed we could now receive the information on our mission." "Ah, quite right, quite right." The man in the lab coat states, as he gets in front of the assembled troops. " I am John Smith. That is what you will call me, anyway." he greats you.
"Now lets get strieght to business. I am sorry about all the secrecy, but everyone in this room must take a vow to never tell anyone about this mission. Its secrecy is vital to the moral of troops everywhere and the vitality of the lab. You see, two days ago, the area which will be referred to as "the lab" for this mission, was attacked and taken over in a matter of hours. This lab is not *technically* associated with Archangel, not in the books anyway. Officially it is a US Army lab, however it is mostly used by Archangel scientists doing projects for Archangel. This lab remains secret for several reasons, chief among them harmony between the nations. Several countries feel that America's large roll in Operation Archangel is a kind of attempt of feudalism, ingraining themselves in world politics of nations it barley had anything to do with before. Many nations also would not like a US funded lab being staffed by Archangel members, feeling that the US would only use the information to benefit itself. Thus for the base to stay safe and the harmony of all nations to stay relatively OK, this mission must be kept secret. Secondly, this is the first attack on an Archangel base ever. And we lost in a matter of hours, having to evacuate the scientist as swiftly as possible. If word got out that an Archangel base was attacked and easily overrun, this could lower the moral of our troops. They should be able to feel safe in their own base, if they fear this would happen elsewhere it would only stress them needlessly. Now that we got this out of the way, lets explain the mission. Two days ago, one of the projects at the base, Project ADAM, had gone rouge entirely. Project ADAM was...is an attempt for Archangel to create or find robotic drones suitable for use by Operation Archangel, in order to keep our troops out of dangerous and potentially dangerous situations. However two days ago, a single scientist had betrayed us. Somehow, he had gotten all of our robotic troops to betray us. We managed to get most personnel out safely, but where unable to save any of the prisoners on the base. Somehow, he seems to have gotten them to move by themselves, think by themselves. We have tried disrupting radio waves and other means of stopping the signals, however they all appear to not effect it. Your mission is to recapture the lab, destroying all military robots that get in your way."
"And where do we come in? You would have sent another Guardian in if it was not for him, correct?" Otonashi stated. "Ah, you used to be so much more patient Oto" "John Smith" said, nostalgically. "Yes, you are hear because of him, your little illusive friend. The security cameras and the information we managed to hack out of the reconnaissance robots shows that the scientist is not alone, there is a man with him. He appears to be the man you are looking for, however all of his pictures are blocked out with a lens flair. He is escorted by a few undead..."
"He is here!?" Otonashi states, in something of exited anger. "John Smith" makes the "easy" hand motion. "It is possible that he is here, however we were only able to get information from the initial attack. " he stated, as Otonashi calmed down a little, unballing his fist.
Any questions?
