How does this look, before I start a 2nd screenshot showcase? Down sampling, almost all ultra. Tiny tweaks to the sweetfx I use.

New Game Plus was released

I haven't played Witcher 3 in quite a long time. I'll probably start it up again, beat the game, and then do NGP. I found the game got kind of easy after I passed level 15.

There are also some mods coming out that look nice, and the modding kit was released I believe.

No, there isn't much + to NG+.

Tougher enemies?
Also maybe DLC releases some new regions to explore.

From what I understand there's quite a bit of new gear and some tougher monsters. It's a bit of a shame that they haven't added more new stuff - a few more gwent cards, a few more potions and another tier of skills would have made a world of difference.

I guess the good thing about the witcher is that there's so many quest paths and alternate ways to do things that giving it a second run through isn't in itself boring, although I doubt NG+ would be enough to inspire anyone who's already had a few runthroughs.

With enough work and polish, it could have been a forgettable flash game on Kongregate.

A screenshot I took. :) It literally looks like it could be a scene from a movie or at the very least, part of a cinematic movie like WoW and other games do.

Sweetfx+ultimate lighting mod+max settings with everything on (no downsampling though, just my native resolution)

Thanks :)

Also this mod showed up in hot files

http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/785/?

I've been trying it out. Its a ton of fun! Was in white orchard and a group of bandits showed up and started raiding the place, which I killed them, but they killed a couple NPCs. Then the corpses I guess made ghouls show up and they killed like 3-4 NPCs before I noticed they were even in the village. Got rid of them.

Went to meet the emperor, came back to see all the changes and one of those banshee ghost things showed up (don't remember what they are called in Witcher xD) and was on top of a house. I lured it down and one of the soldier's helped me fight it (he helped a lot!) and I thought that was super cool a soldier got involved in fighting the banshee.

Adds a lot of fun to the game. I always thought the game was missing that "living world" kind of feel. Like Skyrim just had random things and npcs all around traveling and making it seem like a believable world, and in Witcher 3 its quite a bit static feeling (to me anyway). The random encounter mod makes things literally 10x better for me, and makes the game TONS more fun. But npcs can and will die :P

Witcher 3 won game of the year. It didn't have any real competitors though, but still well deserved. Definitely the best open world rpg this year :)

Also.

Here is a mod to let you play as yen, triss, ciri or shani

http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1031/?

You still get geralts voice, and animation is buggy in cutscenew. He doesn't know where the skeleton files are, or if they can even be accessed.

As for voice. I pretend geralts is cursed to look like a female, but his voice is the same :p or geralts is telling the story in a weird 1st person way.

Either way still much better than playing just geralts :p though it's mostly the same really. Changing the voice would need a whole new game, since its almost always geralt talking obviously lol. Changing it I'd imagine is near impossible. Maybe mute the voice, but then that's kinda worse to me in witcher lol.

Also enjoy two screenshots of blood and wine :)

So yeah, this is a bit... necrotic, but all of the DLC's are amazing and I think they need an honorable mention.

So I didn't like the first game but played a TINY bit of the start, but I heard the second was vastly improved.

I didn't play the second game.

So... Should I get the third game? I won't know the story beyond the basic premise of what Witchers are... AND the Third game could just be the first game with its DDR combat again.
