((Is a swarm of baby dire rats as dangerous as a swarm of adult normal rats then? Is what I am getting?))

Henry looked at his lamentably large Scimitar and shrugged.

"Oh Miss Understone. Could I perhaps borrow your dagger?"

Korina, visibly trying not to throw up as she realized what Henry was about to do, tossed the dagger to the ground near him and hurried out into the previous room to settle her stomach. "For the record, you're crazy," she called from the other room as she found a barrel to stand on. Just in case.

"What does THIS button do?"

Lady Minski totally ignored Henry's good and noble action, instead examining the small loose stone mechanism. She pulled on the stone, seeing what would happen.

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

Henry moved the dagger through the thick fur and muscles and fat of the medium sized rat that burst apart like a sickeningly filled with pus and fluids monster or abomination.
The nauseating stench permeated the cellar room as he quickly tore through the inner organs of the beast to seek its womb, removing the pulsating mass of red flesh from it that squirmed as if it were a beating heart because of the creatures within.
He broke through the giant placenta, and the tiny creatures that were within it breathed their fresh air for the first time...and for many, it would probably be their last too.
There is a swarm-sized amount of mini-dire rats.

Minski stomps on the stone, as a sudden click echoes in the room soon followed by the secret panel sliding to the side, the one where Coralie had been in front of, that unleashes a devastating flurry of small sized darts.
Coralie is caught by surprise as three darts depart from hidden holes behind the panel itself.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Of the three darts that strike forward, only two hit their 'target' grievously injuring Coralie, while one ends up harmlessly on the floor.
Behind the secret panel, a small amount of vials and concoctions stand together with a tiny chest that appears golden in form.
The darts do not seem poisoned, at least.

Tarzu can only stare incredulously at his companion. "What in the Nine Hells did you do that for?!" He stomps(as best has he can) right over to lady Minski and actually slaps her upside the back of the head! "When you see a trap, you don't spring it just to see what it does!"

"ACK! I had no idea it was a trap! What if there were SWORDS behind it?"

Lady Minski looks over at Coralie.

"Are you dead yet?"

Henry got up and moved over to Coralie. "Miss Elf! Are you okay?" he exclaimed with a look of worry on his face. And a poisonous glace towards Minski.

Tarzu just shakes his head and walks away, personally convinced that lady Minski shouoldn't be let withing 5 feet of any weapon, and definately not to her own devices, seeing as she appeared to be mentally deficient. How in the bloody hell she was ever deemed competent to be by herself by her family I will never understand!

Having been grievously injured by her foolish companion, Cora lets out a stream of invective and falls to the floor-bleeding grievously from darts to the back of her neck and left shoulder.

To prevent any repeats of this incident, Tarzu quickly hobbles over to the revealed chest and searches it for more traps(taking 20 on this with a +7 bonus, so 27), and if he finds any immediately disables them(+5), then opens the chest(+8 to open lock if needed)

"Um.
"One of us is giving a premature Cesarean to a dire rat we just killed. Another just triggered a trap to see what would happen.

"...Why did I join these people?"

Go see if I can help with the rats. Because that frankly seems the least crazy thing to do.

Henry wiped his hand off on his pants and offered it to Coralie. "Are you going to be okay? Those wounds look quite nasty, but I do not have it within me to cast more healing magic today."
