>Eiji

Seems ironic, considering you're probably going to be his guardian, but Eiji it is.

You lay your head down, feeling sleepy. Adopting a fox is pretty hard. You'll need tags and a collar and probably some shots of some sort... You have a human hospital at your beck and call but you doubt most doctors double-classed as Vets...

Someone raps sharply on your desk. You lift your head to find two deep blue eyes glaring daggers at you. Oh shit, it's those two guys again.

Immediately the fingers begin flying. [Miss Chinmoku! I find it hard to believe a outstanding student of our fine academy would use the desks in such a disgraceful manner! You'll find even Miss Suzuki at least attempts to keep herself from sleeping on the desks, and her affliction causes far more-] You tune out the blue-haired fingerstorm and look to her friend, who somehow manages to seem more reserved than her superior. She shrugs, grinning widely.

[You're on your own kiddo.]

[-And regardless of the latenight debauchery you are no doubt up to -oh yes I heard, my room is directly below yours- a lack of sleep because of unladylike conduct is not an excuse for blatant disregard for school policy in the-]

[Does she ever shut up?] You ask.

[On occasion,] The pinkhaired one responds.

[I do indeed shut up, but delinquents and vandals like you deserve no mercy!] You raise an eyebrow at that last one.

[I'm a vandal now?]

[Well, no... But you were about to be disgracing school property with carelessly dribbled sleep... saliva...] Her singing slows as she thinks up the next half of her tirade.

[Slow down, honey, you'll hurt yourself.] You snark. Not much harm in a little sarcasm right now.

[Is that a challenge?] Whats-her-faces eyes light up with inner fire.

[I don't think so, Sicchan...]

[If I challenge you to go put on a pair of handcufs would you accept it?] You say, smiling slightly. "Sicchan" looks slightly disturbed. The Pinkhaired one, Misha, you think, turns red and puts her face in her hands.

[You're everywhere,] Sicchan says, eyes dull. [And yes but not for you]

[Eh?]

[Whatever! The point is that you shouldn't treat school property like that!]

You should diffuse her now, while she's calm. If she gets rolling again you'll be signing 'till the end of class.

[I promise, I won't defile the school property again.]

We have to play nice, or she will likely never shut up.

Edit: I forgot, we're not close enough to her to call her "Chan"

Use a formal term for her. in an almost snarky manner, but hey formalities!

But yeah, after we defuse the bomb, finish up the class. See what the fox has done to our room.

Oh my god what have I just walked into it's like a train wreck of things I've never experienced.

(Aside from Katawa Shojou. I did play that. Got the bad end. With Kenji.

Calmly apologize, and mention that she's one room off about the source of the... noise.

Ask her what disturbances she is referring to.  And who she would put handcuffs on for.
After finding this out we must rectify the situation so that she falls in love with us, so she will.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

>Be nice. Be Snarky.

[Very well Lady Shicchan, I will do as you bid.] Blue Thunder looks like she's about to pop, face red and cheeks puffed out. She's actually kind of cute when she's mad. You're glad she probably doesn't like your type of guy.

Misha gets a chuckle out of that. [I've never seen someone so... vocal before.] You both take a moment to consider the irony of that statement. [You would do well on the Student Council, maybe!] Aw hell no.

Shicchan has regained the power of speech and is flashing her hands with such fervor it's attracting the attention of most of the class as well as Mutou. You have completely failed to disarm the bomb... But if you wait for the right time you might THUNK.

Shicchan -Shizune! that's her name! Shizune!- appears to have forgotten there are desks about. While skilled signers like you, Misha and Shizune are usually perceptive enough to not hit your hands on nearby objects when signing, it still happens, much like a person who can speak biting their tongue. Except more painful in situations like this.

Shizune is bent over, clutching her hand like it's broken (with how fast she was going it could even be, though you didn't hear a crack) and dribbling tears of pain onto her lap. Misha immediately moves to help, gently embracing her friend and cooing softly. As if that'll actually help. What really gets your attention though is the soft sniggers from around the classroom. Poor Shizune just hit her hand at the worst possible time in all directions. It could only have been worse if she was in shop class with the buzzsaw.

Mutou has finally awoken fully to the situation and is taking charge. Quickly quieting the class and sending them groaning back to their science worksheets with little more than a few words and a flourish, he's over at Shizunes desk almost immediately. Taking gentle hold of her hand, he pressed on each bone separately until Shizune squeaks in pain. You and Misha share the same signs; [Oh my god that was adorable!] and Misha asks for permission to take Shizune to the nurses office. He agrees on the condition you go with her.

Damn.

Shizune broke her hand
Crying her eyes out

Mutou goes over and squeezes the shit out of her broken hand
She like squeaks or something

[OMFG HOW ADORABLE]

Daisy and Misha are dicks.

Well jeez.  I didn't quite mean that, but I think this was even better.
Go with 'em to the nurse.  Make sure that she is okay, and then do everything gamerboy said about foxes and furries.

Make sure she's okay. Actually apologize for real, broken hands are no joke. The squeak was adorable though.

Then yeah foxxytime with Mr. J Fox.

>Do it

You decide to take her to the Nurse and apologize along the way. Shizune doesn't sign anything back, though, instead giving you a death glare. Maybe she thinks you were being sarcastic.

Either way, she allows you and Misha to escort her to the Nurse, who frowns as you come in.

"Something up?" he asks you and Misha, before looking at Shizune and signing [What's wrong with your hand?]

He grabs it and does the squeezy thing Mutou did, checking for pain. When Shizune hisses, he nods sagely and drags her away into a smaller room offset from his own office.

You and Misha sit in uncomfortable silence, trying to make smalltalk. It doesn't work. You aren't friends with either of these two for a reason, that reason being Shizune, and also being you and Misha not having much to talk about. You have different intrests, different personalities (at least as far as you've seen,) and different friends. You like Misha but you don't have much in common.

The Nurse emerges from what you assume is the X-ray room. You've never visited so you don't know. "It's not broken, but there is a small fracture, so I'm going to wrap it up and ask you girls to stay clam for a few weeks while it heals." He looks pointedly at Shizune, who tries her best to look innocent.

[It was all Daisies fault.]

[What?! No it wasn't, I didn't do anything!]

Is it any wonder why you two don't have many friends?

>return to check on the fox

While art started a little while ago, you decide to milk your "I was at the hospital" excuse for all it's worth and go check on Eiji. You almost start running down the hallway, desprate to see his cute little orange head. Sliding your key into the door, you smile a bit, pushing open your door to find it shredded like confetti.

Eiji sits in a small nest of torn paper and cardboard. You think you recognize the title of one of your favorite books. He looks as smug as can be, ears perked up for your arrival and mouth pulled back in what must be a smile. The rest of your room looks like it got snowed upon, except the snow had letters printed on it and several empty book covers line the edges of the walls.

You probably should have seen this coming.

not much we can do right now about the mess, we'll just have to deal with it when classes are over... remember the class where we need to be and go there.
