Turn 1

Start walking around. I mean, there's not much else to do...
[5] - You start walking around. You look all about for somewhere to walk to... Aha! You see a room. You enter. Inside, you find a glowing... thing. You can’t think of a better word for it. You try to figure out what it is when it starts speaking!

“Hello.”

You jump slightly. “Uh... Hi?”

“You must be Subject 1. It is a pleasure to meet you.” You give him a confused look. “I am going to be your Guide. You may call me Q.”

“Can you guide me somewhere?”

“Certainly, master. As you wish.” The guide drifts away. You walk back to the group.

Status Gain - Guided: Your Guide is Q.

Quote from: Taric
Go Insane
[1] - You burst out into frantic panic as you no longer have the ability to hear anything happening around you. Your hands reach up to your head and your eyes widen. You kneel down to the ground and begin shaking, with the last thing you are able to hear being Ruth-Mary’s grnadchildren.

Status Add - Deafness: -2 to Hearing Actions, Cannot Hear
Status Change - Broken Communications Array -> Complete Communications Systems Breakdown

Take out photos of my seven grandchildren and loudly tell everyone about them, overvoicing all other's speak.

"This is Jane, and this is Mike, and Luke, and Joanne, and this little rascal is Harry in his astronaut suit - he's always going in about astronauts, just last week he..."
[5] - You swiftly pull out your pictures from your purse.

Dodge Check [5 or higher]:
Samuel Malbeuf - [6]
Taric Harn - [4]
Jarick Sadir - [4]
Simon Jackson - [6]
Ash Dust - [3]
Samuel avoids the attack simply from being out of range. Simon quickly blocks the children from view. No one else manages to avoid the attack. Luckily, you become better equipped to talk about your children.

Status Gain - Grandchild Aficionado: Talking about your grandchildren grants a +1 to Attacks.

Wave my arms around in an attempt to do something.
[3] - You flail your arms about in an attempt to do something. You feel like it might have done something. Maybe. But before you can realize what, you are assaulted by Ruth-Mary’s talking about children! You are unable to escape the barrage!

Talk to people. "So why you guys sign up for this?"
[4] - You attempt to learn more about your fellow PPPers. Ruth-Mary reaches into her purse, but you quickly duck and shield your eyes from her grandchildren pictures. That was close. You finds this an excellent time to people watch.

So far as you can manage, you learn that:

Ruth-Mary is hoping to get a little bit of extra money for her grandchildren.
Jarick was unhappy with retirement, and figured this would be an okay way to continue working.
Ash ran away from home.

Talk to people. "So why you guys sign up for this?"
"Get me away from mother, she engaged me to three people this week, only two of them men!"Do a handstand.
[6] - You talk about how much you hate being at home and then try to do a handstand. Unfortunately for you, you manages to do a complete one, but screw up the landing, twisting your ankle. You are unable to dodge Mary-Ruth’s attack!

Status Add - Twisted Ankle: -1 to Dodges

Group Event:
Quote from: Ruth-Mary Duponte
Show pictures of grandchildren to Taric Harn, Jarick Sadir, and Ash Dust
Ruth-Mary with the voice of a screaming elephant proceeds to tell the group about her children.

“This one - OH! - I remember just how little that girl used to be! Oh, that Jane’s about as tall as me now! Well, she was just the cutest thing! Now, this one’s Mike! He was a bit of a stinker, if ya can believe that, but he sure was cute regardless! That little guy next to him is his brother Luke. Luke and Mike are always playing adventures with each other; it’s just darling! Now, this one’s Joanne, little Josie as I like to call her, but she’s not much older than she looks in that picture. You should see her twin brothers, Timmy and Tommy! Now, I said, ‘You shouldn’t name them so similarly. You’ll be all confused.’ But, they still did it, and now I can’t even tell which one is which! Haha! Now, last but not least, we have this cute little fella! He’s dressed up in his astronaut costume here, oh isn’t is so cute? I love getting visits from my grandchildren...”

Taric has collapsed to the floor for various other reasons, Jarick is on the verge of passing out, and Ash’s pain is doubled from both the talking and her ankle.

Jarick:
Status Gain - Sleepy
Ash:
Satus Gain - Pain

Group Event (All):
Suddenly, the white world begins a kaleidoscopic shift. Colors blend in from seemingly nowhere and begin spiraling and shaping in unexpected ways. Many of the group close their eyes to stop themselves from being sick. Samuel is unphased, however, as Q pops up stealthily beside him.

“It is done, master. I have brought you somewhere.”

The color spirals begin slowing down and eventually stop, forming a beautiful image of a meadow outside of a local town. Straw huts, wooden vendor stalls, and dirt roads stick out around the town. People fill the streets, surrounding the occasional horse-drawn cart, all busily going about the town. Even from as far away from town as the group is, they can tell that the town is packed.

“Q,” Samuel asks, “Where are we?”

“Master, we are outside of the great town Pandorium.”

Also, please note that I'm still figuring out the formatting, so if you have any complaints or suggestions, I'd like to hear them! This is mostly an exercise in writing for me, so every little bit helps!

Also, I'll attempt to keep updating daily if I can, so if you've posted by then, I'll update. Otherwise, I'll make up your action. Sometimes, it won't be a nice one, like this one, but sometimes it will be plot-pushing or whatever I'm feeling like that day.

And, while I might update daily if I can, it is no guarantee. I will eventually get busier, so bare with me. Thank you for reading and playing along!

Turn 2

"Cool. Hey, do you have any money, Q?"

Check out the Vendors!
[6] - You ask Q if he has any money.

“I am afraid not, master.”

“Oh, well, I’m going to check out the vendors anyway.”

“Just a word of warning, master.”

“Hm?”

“I am not free to walk the streets of Pandorium.”

“Huh?”

“I said I am not free to-”

“No, I mean why not?”

“I have a criminal record.”

“What did you do?” you ask, puzzled.

“I did nothing.”

“Then, why are you a criminal?”

“I believe you are confused. My crime was doing nothing. As punishment, I was banished.”

“Then, what will you do?”

“I shall be nearby in case you need me. I will appear when called, but do not call me unthinkingly.”

You take Q’s words with caution and go about the vendor stalls. You really wish you had money to buy something because everything looks cool. There’s food you’d be willing to try, random pieces of junk you think is cool until you buy it, food... You really want food, now that you’re thinking about food. Food, food, food.

Status Gain - Hungry: You should eat something!

"getifoffgetitoffgetitoffoffoffoff!"
Get it off.
[2] - You quickly reach up to rip off something, but you have no idea what you’re trying to get off. Instead, you rip off small chunks of hair and flesh. It hurts. You try to stand up, but you can’t figure out your balance and fall over.

Status Gain - Minor Scalp Injuries

Ruth-Mary -
Wave hand at Jerick and dismiss his talk with a "Sure, sure, they're precious" and take a stroll through the city.
[4] - You try to hold off the attack from Jarick, but it’s no use! You’ll just have to endure it while you look through the city.

Begin describing the entire history of my family tree which stretches back 5000 years, every one of which were accountants, to Ruth-Mary.
[5] - Taking a deep breath, you prepare a counter-assault against that old wind bag. “Let’s begin with Erick-In the Red”

Roll to Dodge [5 or higher]:
Ruth-Mary - [3]

Ruth-Mary attempts to dissuade you, but you’ll have none of it! You return the attack, full blast! You feel your accounting skills have improved with age, rather than deteriorated.

Status Gain - Accountant: +1 to accounting-based Attacks
Status Remove - Sleepy

Look for stuff to do
[3] - You walk into town and look around. It seems as though there’s a celebration going on. You try to find something to do, but there’s just so much. Maybe you’ll play one of those games over there... Or maybe watch those people dancing... Or... You don’t even know!

First Deep breaths then explore new place.
[6] - And explore you shall! You take it as your new mission to find out as much about this town as possible. You tour the market stalls, the dancing sections, and the game stalls. You explore the bars and a few houses that appear to be showing off baked goods or art. You explore a church, but, when you get to the graveyard, you stop.

Someone’s following you. You can feel it.

Before you can turn around to figure it out, you’re thrown into a bag! You never realized there were bags big enough to actually carry a person until now, though you suppose that you should’ve known better.

Group Event:
Quote from: Jarick
Assail Ruth-Mary with ancient accountant ancestry.
“So, as I was saying, Erick-In the Red was probably THE pioneer of accounting. This ancient art of accounting was passed down to his son, Frederick, and then to Frederick’s son, Derrick. It was Derrick that developed more of the accounting art by developing the modern pen, if you can believe that! Why, then Derrick gave the art to his son, Derrick the Second, who invented the Capital Investment! Why, my family is responsible for just about every known modern advancement in accounting...”

Ruth-Mary can hardly keep track of the city and ends up in a crowded park by mistake.

The park consists of two ringed paths, one inside the other, filled with several benches. At the very center of the rings sits a statue of a man. Shooting outward from the statue are some paths going through the rings, and connecting back to the main part of town.

Ruth-Mary and Jarick decide to sit down on one of these benches and rest for a bit, while Jarick finishes his tale.

Group Event (All):
Dr. Kevlak’s voice plays overhead.

We, uh, are having a bit of difficulty with Subject 6’s tRaNsporGer. If someone could let him know that he might be in incredible pain for a while, please let him know.

Oh, and before I forget, try not to die. We’ve been reviewing the data from Subject 6, and injuries appear to be consistent in- and outside the tRaNsporG-OH FU-

Ahh, weekends. Now, back to posting!

Turn 3

Steal some money from my fellow...testers, and go buy some food!
[1] - Your plan to steal money from your... well, anyone goes about as well as you think it would. That is, it doesn’t. You’re caught almost immediately by a guard.

“You pickpockets always come out at full force during these things, don’t you?” The guard sneers in your face.

You’re placed in handcuffs and carted along to the jail. They shove you inside your cell. You remember how hungry you were, too.

“What’d they lock you up for, kid?” says a familiar voice.

Status Gain - Handcuffed: -2 to all hand-based Actions.
Status Change - Hungry -> Very Hungry: You really need something to eat!

Freak the fuck out. Then gain psionic powers so I can stop being useless.
[1] - You can’t freak out. You can only focus on one thing: Psychic. Powers. Concentrating your full might on this one thing seems to have decreased your awareness that you’re lying down on the ground. But, somehow, you feel something in your brain... snap. Blood flows freely from your nose and ears, first in drips but steadily getting stronger. You remember that you have a nasty fear of blood, and pass out.

Roll to Live [2 or Higher]:
[2] - While you manage to avoid choking on your own blood by a hair, you still suffer from severe brain injuries. Also, you’re unconscious. This is not a good day for you.

Status Gain - Severe Brain Injury: Something inside your brain has broken. -1 to all Rolls.
Status Gain - Serious Bleeding: You are bleeding from your nose and ears.
Status Gain - Unconscious: You are currently passed out.

Ruth-Mary -
Scream for police to avoid further accountant-based battering from Jarick.
[4] - Duel!

Suggest that Ruth-Mary's kids become accountants as we aimlessly wander.
[1] - Duel!

Quote from: Simon Jackson
Play a game.
[5] - You decide to see what game these people are playing. As you approach, you make out the familiar shape of dice. Several people appear to be playing some form of betting game, hiding their dice from their opponents.

You notice a table starting and ask to join. They shrug and agree. Everyone starts throwing some coins into the middle, and you realize you have none. One of the people sitting at the table says he’ll spot you a few coins. You’re handed an assortment of square metal coins of various shapes.

You pick up the cup, throw in the dice, and slam the cup down, hiding the dice. You take a quick peek inside.

5. 5. And 5. You smile. You’re pretty sure that’s a good roll.

You follow what you can make of the betting system, eventually calling someone else with all your money.

You manage to pay back the man who lent you money with a bit of interest, and a lot remaining.

Status Gain - Loaded: You’ve got a bit of money.

Pass the time.
[6] - You pass the time. That is to say, all one minute of it, before you’re emptied out of the bag.

You’re dumped out onto a hard marble floor. You try to catch yourself but fail, bruising your forearm. You take a second to readjust to the this new room.

“Are you Subject 2?” a booming voice asks. You’re still dazed.

“Yes. That’s her.” Another voice, this time female, responds.

“Excellent! Good work.” Your captor backs away. Good riddance.

Your eyes finally adjust. You’re sitting inside an opulent throne room. You immediately identify the source of the booming voice as the man sitting on the throne, graciously sitting in the middle of everything.

“Subject 2, do you understand me?” the King asks.

You nod your head. His eyes light up, and he smiles.

“Excellent!” The King motions toward a woman, who doesn’t look much older than you. “This is my wife, Klarissa. She will be your Guide.”

You give him a puzzled look. “What Guide? For what?”

The King responds with his own puzzled look. “What do you mean? She’s your Guide.” He motions toward her again.

“Uhh... Okay...” Your eyes dart across the room, trying to hide your embarrassment from not knowing what that means.

“Hello,” Klarissa speaks, bowing. You sense an edge of distaste in her voice. You instinctively roll your eyes, and you’re pretty sure she noticed.

Status Gain - Guided: Your Guide is Klarissa.

Group Event (Ruth-Mary and Jarick):
The two elderly folk lock eyes. Tension fills the surrounding area. Several nearby pedestrians stop and stare. The Announcer makes an appearance!

Welcome, one and all, to this great spectacle! In one corner, weighing in at a ripe age of 78, the Talker with a Walker, Granny Nanny!

And in the other corner, sizing up the competition at the age of 67, the Accountant Combatant, Papa Penpusher!

Jarick’s quick wit starts. “I bet little Mickey would LOVE to be an accountant!” D’oh! A massive blunder!

Ruth-Mary retorts, “My grandchildren don’t need to THAT much help napping.” Ouch! A critical strike! Papa’s ego takes a beating!

“Just imagine them dressed up in their cute accounting tux!” He shoots and he misses again, folks! That’ll certainly cost him points with the judges!

“Help! Help! Police! This man’s harassing me!” It looks like Granny’s taking a slightly different approach this time, ladies and gentlemen! And look at that, it seems to have worked! Well played! It seems this round goes to the Granny Nanny! And the judges confirm! The crowd applauds and then disperses.

Ruth-Mary returns back to the vendors and peruses their goods.

Jarick is placed in handcuffs and led to the local jail. After a bit, he notices a familiar figure being led in as well.

“What’ they lock you up for, kid?” Jarick asks Samuel.

Jarick:
Status Gain - Handcuffed: -2 to all hand-based Actions.
