The one for the Utopians

Oh wow, that map reminds me of the Zombie diaries, a game I very much want to play!  I'll edit this post in about 4 hours with my character's actions, at work so limited time to think and type.  But so happy with this forum game, and so glad you are continuing it!

Edited to add - imp-Jane Andrews actions -

3 carts should be plenty for us to guide safely back 'home'.  Jane pauses to make a mental note about whatever useful things she's spotted that have not been taken, and thinks for a moment about any back of house storage areas which might not have been looked at, then turns to the group, encouraging Akbar Ibn Mohammed and whomever else seems to most 'need' action to take guard, and the 3 calmest (she includes herself in this subset) each take a cart to guide back.  She discusses a tentative plan for if there's trouble, asking for everyone's opinions or concerns about it -

"If there's mild trouble on the way back, you two on guard try to lead them away from the carts and our path back to the offices?  Kill them or lose them, but keep them away from us if you can.  Those of us on the carts, if we're in danger remember the zombies won't care about a quiet shopping cart unless they have to go through it to get to us - if it's bad out there, leave the carts and try to lure the zombies away from them, then get away however you can.  We can circle back and maybe continue safely home with our supplies.

At worst, if it seems like we're not going to get back ok, someone push one cart hard away from the rest of us.  It'll make a lot of noise and it'll move at least a few feet; if it tips over it'll make even more noise and chaos wherever it fell - this might let us get the rest of our carts and ourselves safely back to the others and we'll still have a lot of good stuff.

Everyone ok with this?  Anyone see any likely problems we don't have a plan for?  Anyone think of a better plan?"

Wait, WHAT? Why does Sturm get a -1 to gun combat? And how does +1 to photography help!? This guy's explored around the world, can snap a high-quality picture of a speeding jet with only two seconds of reaction time, AND has some serious style.

Anywho.

Sturm will start scream "HELP! HELP, THEY'RE CRAZY, THEY'RE GOING TO KILL ME! OH GOD, CALL 911! HEEEELP!"

Our OP has already told us that if you didn't use guns in your previous life, you had a -1 to use them, but you do get a +1 to things that do directly relate to your previous life.

Perhaps use the OOC thread for this thread to suggest particularly photographic comparisons to the various things you do?   ;D

"Well...me and that NRA guy can protect you guys, except for the point that he doesn't have any silenced gun."
Meh,not that i complain.

"I'm ok with your plan, but do you complain if he doesn't have any silencer?"

The NRA guy is back at the office building. Ruth is the other NRA nut and she has a silenced pistol.

Jane Andrews nods, then answers, "Kill only what you must?  There's still more zombies than bullets, right?"  She glances towards the door, then at the remaining uninterested zombies still within the store before continuing, "Ruth?  Maybe shoot only if you must?  Akbar?  You too, maybe?  We might really, really need them bullets later, and it'd be a shame to not have them anymore."

She takes the handle of a cart with both hands.  "If we get these carts back to our place, and no one gets hurt at all, I say we won the whole game of getting here and back again.  Won it clean, won it full, won every point.  There'll be other games, other risks, and other problems."

She nods towards the door, then adds, "Remember, if you lead them away so we can keep pushing these carts back home, then we're fine.  And if you lose them and come back to us, even if every one of them's still moving, we've all still won.  You can fire a gun, or just clap your hands as you run, then stop clapping and run around them back.  Just don't let any get close, and shoot if you think you must."

Ugh, great. I can take pictures of zombies, but I can't shoot them. Dammit. I guess it's time to switch my build over to Melee weapons...

grab a rucksack or backpack to stick my loots in then do so and head out the back over to 110 to check for survivors

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

Ulysses Owen looks at the supply pile, and is distressed at the lack of materials other than weapons. Sure, those guys left to get food earlier, but it doesn't matter how much you have to eat if you freeze to death during the winter. And he read on the internet before it shut down that Alaska was still unaffected, and it gets damned cold up there. Still, no zombies and the bountiful natural resources means that it might be a good place to restart, if he could ever get there.

Look around for anything that might be useful in making clothes, like window curtains and such.
