Excerpt from "Chief Cook" Overseer Rendell's Journal: Eighth Entry
To commemorate the victory over the Goblin forces, a statue of the dwarfs that fought in the battle has been placed in the courtyard, to show future generations what it means to be a dwarf of Mirroredfreezes! The Goblin leader has been tossed in animal storage until such a time we have a use for him.
Also in memory of the battle it seems the once possessed mason Limul Medtobkod has constructed "Igathelot" a slate coffin, which has since been confiscated and now occupies a place in my study, until I can build a grand tomb to put it in.
17th of Moonstone More wood, dogs that Hostergaard can train into warhounds, some more iron weapons and armour for the military plus other essentials are bought from the traders.
23rd of MoonstoneConstruction of grand burial-chambers for Overseers and great dwarfs alike begins today, so far Ive only ordered the construction of two tombs, one for myself and the other for past overseer Bp920091. I halted production of coffins, so only a few deserving dwarfs will have access to them.
8th of OpalThe traders leave today, taking our fine mugs, crafts and trinkets in exchange for supplies that are actually valuable for living on a desolate glacier in the middle of nowhere.
10th of Opal The construction of the two grand burial-chambers is finished today! with the recently liberated artefact coffin installed in one.
19th of OpalThe high class apartments are finished. The walls have been smoothed, a cabinet, coffer, table and chair have been installed in to every room.
As of the moment only Javier, Bp920091 and myself have rooms, with Bp920091's room having the legendary throne that he crafted himself.
There are also plans for an weapons and armour rack to also be installed.
7th of ObsidianThe caged goblin Zolak Ureratu, has been placed into the newly revealed arena which is used for gladiatorial contests to entertain dwarfen spectators young and old, which they can view great-battles and dine with comfort from the grand-hall!

Another goblin raid party has arrived, most likely in hopes of freeing their comrade from his impending doom.... or just for some chance for gold and bounty.. its hard to tell with goblins.
The goblin squad approaches drawbridge, only to be meet with two of Hostergaard's trained wardogs set to guard the area.
I call for the alarm, Javier and other warrior-dwarfs make for the bridge, however they will arrive to late as the goblins themselves have almost reached the bridge!
As the only dwarf on station duty, I charge the 5 goblins and enter a martial trance as the goblins strike down the two patrolling war-dogs
One of the goblins is slain on the bridge, the rest of the goblins begin to flee at the onslaught, three more are cut down as they retreat while the last manages to escape. Javier and the reinforcements arrive, but too late, the battle was over..
28th of ObsidianAs the year of my reign ends, I decide to host our very first arena match!
I equip my armour, hoist my shield and grab my axe, as I prepare to match the goblin Zolak in the arena. Right now the council is properly deciding who the next Overseer will be..
As I walked to the centre of the new arena I yell "Pull the lever!", the door begins to slowly open and the goblin leaped from its recent confined cage, as I and goblin began to charge forward.. I thought to myself that whoever the next Overseer will be, I wish that poor bastard good luck.
