I'll probably be a little late, too. Something came up...

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

And misc stuff. I'll determine what was, in total, looted and deliver a list in the morning.

Who was the crazy guy?

The crazy guy found the box that we were supposed to find. He read the Codex Vesania and immediately went insane. We're now considering returning the book. I'd advice against it. Why the hell would that lady want that book? I'd bury it in the middle of nowhere and be done with it.

Why don't you have the guy with the highest Will save read it next week? When I promise to do my best to be there.

... Because the dude with the highest will save, if unconscious, will erupt into horrific nastiness for everything in a hundred miles.

Also, unidentified magic items for the win. Possibly cursed, possibly sentient, Blackguard's sword, who picks it up?
The Paladin. Fuck yeah.

Also, in his PM to me, Wrex said something like "Based on everything you know about the sword, the paladin should be on fire right now."

My horrific nastiness isn't that bad yet. Currently the effects if I go unconcious are:

All large bodies of water within a mile of me raise by 1d4 feet and become cold enough to cause 1 cold damage per round you spend swimming in them. Air within the same radius becomes unusually gusty, causing all ranged attacks to be made at -2 to hit.
Everyone within 1000ft of me jumps like they're on the moon. +4 to Athletics. Cold and Electricity becomes more powerful as well, causing an extra 1d6 damage.
Gravity is half strength within 50ft of me. Everything weights 50% of normal, jump DCs are half and everyone counts has having a running start.

Should be, but isn't. If it was unholy, I would have burst into flames immediately. Maybe I can redeem the sword, and make it all goodness and light... Or I could turn it into a bong...

Wait a sec, within a mile it's ¹/6 gravity, but it's ½ within 1,000 feet?

Also bear in mind that I was joking.

Off topic:

My favorite boss monster!

In optimiser circles, this is the big one. I don't think he has ever been defeated. I would never, ever sic him on any players in a game not speciifcally engineered around killing him.
