I don't think there are any dinosaurs in this game. I know; I was disappointed too.
I'm envious of how you keep discovering new things. Everything keeps circling around for me. Mostly to the underwater carnival. I must've spent hours there, but I still haven't seen the whole thing.

All the advice I can offer is to constantly be going into new areas. Look for anything that looks out of place and then fiddle with it, usually with knife analogue or anything that generally has an effect. Combing a singular area is for later on in the game if you've gotten all the effects and wanna see more stuff. (At least for me.)

EDIT: As a side note probably no update tonight, maybe tomorrow. Torchlight 2 and Space Pirates and Zombies are fun, what can I say.

Although another reminder that if you're playing through the games feel free to do what I'm doin. Interesting to see other peoples' views' on this stuff.

Maybe even some less popular yume nikki fangames.

This is great.
In case you're curious, there are basically 3 nexuses in the game.

What version are you playing? I'm using .097g, but I guess it's up to .098c now or something. I was able to access the wiki yesterday, but I can't now.

By the way, I'm working on a really terrible Yume Nikki (inspired?) roguelike. Really terrible in things like that I worked for six hours yesterday and made virtually no progress. But I'm the first, as far as I know, and it might be done sometime.

I am using 0.98b. I'll probably stick with what I've got for now and unless some new super awesome thing like an ending or a new amazing effect is added won't switch it up. And good note on the nexuses, I'll be sure to try to remember where those places are.

And keep it up with the roguelike thing! It'll get to a playable state if you keep at it. I'm interested in how it'll turn out.

"Playable" is too loose. I can make a "game" in less than an hour, and I'm still a novice. Controlling an @ around the same tiles with no goal isn't fun. But so far I have a "graphics engine" (as much of one as you can have in ASCII) and the support for random map generation. Player movement will be easy to add; I've already done it before the same way. I changed some things and it's not making a map anymore, but it was - I saw the random maps myself. The test was a world full of ice columns and ice/blank floors. I guess I don't understand random number generators either, because even after 2 hours specifically on it, I can't make a random 1,2,3, or 4 myself.

Eh, I don't mind. The little journals make for nice maps. And it's only fake in specific parts, it's kinda odd.

So after, last night, hearing a bizzare groaning noise from a source I could not identify, it's time to dip further into madness with yume 2kki. (Seriously though, I think it was a car or something. Pretty sure I'm not going nuts.)

Like a visit from an old friend.

Man, I was hearing noises too. Sometimes I put earphones in my ears without plugging them into anything and I hear music kinda like the title screen music from Yume Nikki.
