Whoa, you people who remember your dreams are lucky, the only ones I remember are the boring ones. For example:
I was walking down the stairs of my house, it was exactly the same as usual, even the painting on the wall was the same. I went through the living room, then into the kitchen, and made some toast. Well, the toast was already in the toaster, but it had popped out by time i had got there. I got some jam (which is a bit strange, i dont like jam on my toast anymore), spread it on the toast with a knife, then cut it once from corner, leaving me with two triangular pieces of toast (also strange, as I prefer to have my toast cut into four rectangle shaped pieces). I picked it up, and went to take a bite out of it. Then I woke up. I didn't even get to taste it,  :'(.

Some of my other dreams might be more interesting, but my memories of them are so foggy. I vaguely remember one where I was on the road near where I live, and was pouring a giant bucket of milk on to the road, but thats the weirdest one I remember.

Speaking of polygons and vectors, I dreamt today that a bunch of those were chasing a nude man through the skyscrapers' stariwells, so I shoo'd them all from him and packed them into graphics card.

Then the gay man 'thanked me' (*wink wink*) and we then went to see the 2D VGA sunset over the canyon.

Whoa, you people who remember your dreams are lucky, the only ones I remember are the boring ones.

Last night I had three separate spates of sleep (my fault, again, for laying down on the sofa early the previous evening).  I know that each of the three dreams (or at least their conclusions) were good to report, but I didn't get much opportunity to note anything down.

Right now, the most remembered bit was about my attempt (after doing some hiking across some interesting landscape) to set up a photograph of a hillside (and a quarry, or other feature upon it) in the background and a piece of paper of some kind in the foreground, but having to fight with the camera to let me get the focus and field of view right.  This is actually something like what I might actually do (for obscure reasons I won't go into) in real life, sometimes, although I never have the same camera problems.  Also, I haven't tried to do this in the last couple of weeks, so it's not a recent memory being reshuffled, but something more ingrained, or dredged out due to some other association that I can't currently work out a link for.

But I know I had more exciting things happening at other points (and in the other two dreams).  Lost to the misty waters of the river Lethe no doubt.

I just had a dream about the forum.

We were playing a suggestion game in the forum games section. I was very active in the thread. The title of the thread was "Creep" and the OP was just writing short suggestion games. Most of the time it lasted like 2-3 pages and he started writing new ones in the same thread. He kept going on for like 10 pages with a few games. These 10 pages happened in like a few minutes though.

Eventually the OP became inactive and someone else started a new thread named "CRE-EP" and kept writing stories the same way. Most of the time player either died (stories were realistic and the player was in constant danger, most people wrote dangerous suggestions for fun) or managed to complete his task in a unique and clever way.

Background of the thread page was dark like the DF section but it was in the forum games section.

I had a dream where I went on a date with a girl. I can't remember her face or name, though. She was sorta cute, I think, and although our interests didn't neccesarily match, she was nice enough and it went fairly well.

...Why can't this happen to me in real life :'(? I'm actually surprised I remembered it, it happened a few days ago.

Just last night, I had a dream where I was sitting next to a river with my sister, and she suddenly fell in. I tried to get her out and failed. The worst part is, the only strange thing about it was the deepness of the water.

Nazi Buddhists? Huh.
I dreamed that I was looking down upon the weak on My throne by a lake of fire. They had angered Me, and I raised My hand, and the weak folk fled rom it and into the fire. THeir suffering gave me strenth, and I beheld the world. So small. I would have it, but I had much more to accomplish.
And then I woke up, of course, and it was kinda bad to lose that sensation of power.

There's a dream from the weekend that I wrote down (and analysed) but still haven't remembered to bring anywhere near this computer.

But last night (amongst other things) I dreamt I was (or perhaps I was observing, re: my usual 'participation fluidity') an alternate version of Buffy[1], in an alternate universe in which zombies were the "big bad", and vampires existed, but were nominally everyday people (in fact, I don't think they even had daylight 'issues').  There'd only just been a "28 Days Later" sort of event (maybe as little as 28 hours ago), and humanity (in my little bit of the world) was recovering.  Buildings were in a state of disrepair (from damage, not neglect) and upper-floor places were favoured as hang-out places, like the little café I/Buffy camped out in.  When people fell off roofs they basically jumped back up as zombies.  This was a big deal for the (re-)construction industry, as Health & Safety appeared to have actually declined quite severely.  (And everyone seemed to like watching the cranes and demolition machines and unsecured workers at work, and then all panicked as soon as they saw someone fall to their deaths, still in their high-vis vests.)

Also, with people tending to occupy upper-floor places with missing windows or structural damage to the buildings there were a number of "someone falling past the window" incidents.  You know, like that Monty Python sketch where the two office-workers casually assess who it is who has just fallen past and start to bet on who will be next.

And then the 'vampire' faction decided they didn't like Buffy for obscure (non-VampireSlaying) reasons and started chasing her (and/or me) all over the place, necessitating clambering out of windows and into others, abseiling (while other people who had also decided to take up abseiling but preferred not to actually tie themselves to the ropes in any way, were occasionally falling to their undeaths) and generally evading.

I started phasing in and out of the dream at a point where I/Buffy was running around a theatre(/cinema), up into the projecting box and down out via another entrance and round and back up and nearly into the underground rail system beneath the theatre(!) and it's weird architecture, but I didn't go there.  Due to the intervening bouts of semi-consciousness I think I could have grasped the nettle and made this dream actually lucid, but it appears I couldn't be bothered (either in dream-state or near-waking state) to press the issue.  I think Buffy/I persuaded the vampires to stop the chasing around, but that was about all that changed.  And then I fully woke up.

[1] Not SMG, or even the filmic Buffy.  Sort of like as akin to the televisual Buffy as the original (pilot episode) Willow was to the eventual series-Willow.  Which probably only makes sense to me and my internal dreamstate.  Character-wise, this Buffy had come from a 'normal' (non-BtVS) universe where she was a normal person and had been sent to this other non-normal one by way of a teleport-type thing.  Which made sense at the time, and then got submerged by what came later so that it was largely irrelevant to the 'plot', or even discounted insofar as any form of continuity.

I had a dream about wandering into some sort of extra dimentional space, like that M.C. Escher drawing, stairs and bathrooms and doorways to nowhere, somehow found myself with a group of girls, and things got scary and we ran and I sent one of the girls down a trap door to see if it was safe, but she never replied to my calls (down?) the dark shaft, then we got caught by a group of demons or something, and things got... weirder... the demons would kiss the girls and their faces would melt together at the lips, after all the girls were melted they got pushed together and melted into a single abomination of form... it was... suprisingly erotic... then I woke up.

I dont even know what to think about it.

I've had some weird dreams lately. Here's one from a couple of nights ago, as I typed it on my phone.

Had an odd dream where I was "playing" Dwarf Fortress. I remember viewing this meeting from the perspective of a dwarf, my fellow officials/nobles were telling me how shorthanded we were. We needed to train up various different professions and types of soldiers.
Apparently in this dream version of DF that meant building these "academy" buildings for my dwarves. I building some soldier academies in a tower I had set aside for the purpose; from the colour I guess they were for axe dwarves.
I built a few different things through my weird half-and-half perspective and activated them, trying to herd my unskilled dwarves towards them.
And then the dream sortof shifted a little, and I had to train dwarves in those academies. For some bizarre reason, I was about to train my RL baby nephew, the really dumb one, to be a train driver of all things. (I guess the fort had need of them.) My teaching method? A sappy picture book about a bunch of anthropomorphic creatures driving a train through this big savannah area in the midst of a terrible forest fire, rescuing the occasional critter along the way.
Other than that I only remember getting progressively more pissed off at my student. That part is definitely realistic; that annoying brat is so stupid it makes other small children look comparatively smart- hell, even our dwarves don't seem quite as idiotic when you think of that thing. :P The kid decided he wanted to sit on a different side of the book as I read, so of course I moved himack. Then he started whinging about it as I was trying to read, so eventually I just stopped giving a shit, letting the fricking thing sit where he wanted as I more-or-less shouted the story at him.
It would've been a more entertaining dream if I was teaching him to, say, wield a mace. ::)

I'll let you know mine, they either include fights, zombies or some random engineering crap (usually power armor/flying).

Here's a zombie one.
I was at uni when the outbreak happened here in Ontario. The school was quickly over run so I suggested to my girlfriend to go to my hometown and hide. Skip forward to my little hometown of 17000. The library was having construction done on it and the street was empty. I fired up the machines and began building a wall when some mayor came out with the police. They had apparently not heard of the zombies yet. Soon as I finish explaining this the zombies show up and wreak havoc to my tiny town. As the police were dealing with the zombies my girlfriend and I fortify the library (which looks much like a church base, but the next two floors up are a ring of glass windows) and build an airlock like front gate system, and walls from there to the nearest building creating a courtyard for small farming. Oh did I mention there were two black sheep with us? Anyways the police died then my gf pulls out two swords, and gives me one. We wreck the zombies riding our armor plated sheep, then fight our way back to the gates and make it in. It ended with us and the sheep looking out of the third floor window at downtown main street packed with zombies surrounding us.

Wooo yet another strange thing happening.  So about deja vu, when are you supposed to start feeling it?  This is about the 4th or 5th time in my life where I had a strage dream about 6 months before what I dreamed actually happened.  I would dismiss it, but this time I recalled more data from the dream than others BEFORE the event started.  My class was being shown different sorting techniques using cards, and the deja vu feeling came up.  I remembered which cards were going to be used in the demonstration about 5 seconds before the cards were pulled from the deck, and they did in fact match up.  Now I'm scared and confused.
