Oh herp. I didn't realise you'd actually linked the save I needed.

I'll get right on this.

Why a reboot instead of a reclaim?

This namby-pamby half-and-half embark was no match for our bridge mechanisms, trap hallways, and crazy cat ladies.
Clearly the next installment of the Battlefailed Saga should be set entirely in an area with reanimating terrain (slightly more feasible with pulping), and huskifiying mist for good measure.

With how fearsome the zombie titan from my turn was, I kinda have to wonder how hard it's going to be to kill one of those in the next version of DF (where they won't simply collapse after a certain number of hits.) That thing was nigh indestructible otherwise.

If we do that, what shall we call it and will we start a new thread for it?

And the Zombie Titan would have to be attacked with a pulping squad.

I read Battlefailed and Failcannon back about a year ago, then started reading Hellcannon. I got about ~100 pages in before the topic ended. Recently I finished Hellcannon and read through Horrorfailed. I have sigged:

Well, we've got a new DF version in about a month. Will there be a new chapter in the Battlefailed Saga to go with it?

I am not dwarfy enough to take the helm, but I do believe we should be starting up Battlefailed V sometime soon.... I GUESS I'll handle it if nobody else steps forward in time. Bleh. Hate authority.

What would its name be, though? We seem to have run out.

I might be willing to take charge, but that sort of depends on whether or not any Battlefailed regulars are coming back from Calculus Camp or wherever the hell they went. Personally, I'm not familiar with the finer points of World Aluonrization.

As far as I know, the major difference includes the titan attack triggers being lowered to show up ludicrously early (which I have started doing in my own worlds because it's !!fun!!), and the titan numbers (and possibly megabeasts) populations turned up to eleven. Billion. Eleven billion.

Name... Well, we haven't used 'murder' yet... how about Murderfailed?

So, Battlefailed V? I'd love to be a part of it. We could do a bit of homage and do something along the lines of Failboated the Cannon of Murder.

Murderfailed sounds good too.

also how dead is this

I deeply apologise for both:

a. taking so long
b. necroing this thread.

Real life got in my way something awful at the start of the year what with going back on my anti-depression meds (and, this month, coming off them again!), going to a vocational college for the disabled and getting a CISCO qualification, going to America for a furry convention and looking for jobs. I have, however, finally delved deep into the history of Battlefailed (and DF 31.25) and obtained the missing information by which our world might be reforged:

To my unending disappointment, however, original flavour Aluonra and newly generated 40.19 Aluonra look almost nothing alike, and their histories are of course wildly divergent. We do not have a human queen of dwarves, maintaining the worship of a god of death revered by the human kingdom from which she is descended. But if you'll look to the top left of the map, however, you'll see that what we do still have is an evil ocean (the "Languishing Sea") bordering an evil desert (the "Wastes of Cancer"). Fellow dwarves, what I want to ask you is this - can the glorious spirit of Battlefailed be reconstructed on this alone?
