I just saw this in a report:

The speardwarf attacks the Cave Crocodile but He jumps away!

I'm not sure which is worse--a crocodile that can jump, or the implication that said crocodile is holy.

Something pretty cool happened to me just now. I ordered my fresh 3 man Marksdwarf squad to slaughter a group of 6 or so Giant Crows, I nipped one on the foot, he fell out of the air and slammed into the ground, and then Another Crow I had shot fell out of the air and smacked into the first one. It ends up puking everywhere for a few days while my Marksdwarves slowly chip bones until finally a lung shot. That's some shitty luck crow..

I've been getting back into this thread, so here's a couple.

Also, I've switched hosts to anonmgur because while the urls are longer, I don't have to put in a product-placement captcha every single time.

And if you want to see what I've been doing before this post, here's a handy link.
My 2 year fort was attacked by a flying manticore, a lion with bats wing and scorpion's tail.
My poorly trained 6 dwarf squad of axeman charged out of the fort, trying to put it down before it wrecks havock on the civilians.
The not-so-bright recruit charges in, and gets grabbed by the manticore, and they both tangle together and fall to the ground (the manticore was flying).
While the recruit was busy trying to NOT die, the squad leader approaches the manticore from behind, hacks it with his battle axe once, twice, and the third time.
First hit hit the right rear leg, severing the motor nerve and fracturing the bone. Second hit hit the back of the manticore, fracturing the upper spine and severing the nerves, and the final hit decapitated the manticore, and the severed head flies away... only to hit the other recruit in the face, killing him.

Not sure if this is worth a pic, but I did find it amusing.

I had an immigrant stonecrafter/hunter show up and immediately set to work hunting a muskox. She shot it until she ran out of ammo, at which point it wasn't quite dead, so I drafted her to have her finish the job.

This was DF's idea of "the part sails off in an arc":

Those are ALL teeth. I wish I had a video of the explosion, it was pretty impressive.

Great thread Goomba, keep up the good work!

One of the miners in the ice farm had a baby with her. Ice thawed. Miner escaped, but her baby was washed away. Baby was lying on the bottom of 7/7 filled pond for a couple of months before dying from dehydration.

Obviously, cheese making is a form of madness.

Why do you think that crocodile is holy?

The capitalized "He".
So if I capitalize He or She in the middle of a sentence it means divinity.

No, I just assumed that's why GuesssWho said it was implied to be holy.

Well, God is usually referred to as He--in fact, I've never seen it used that way for anything but a deity.

I think capitalization is consistent for fight logs because it's better than the alternative.
