In my latest game (with masterwork mod) I'd just started a militia and the whole two of them were sparing in their brand new barracks when an orc sneak suddenly appeared in the room with them.  They managed to quickly pound him, with the help of the caravan guards that were in the next room but not before it got in a quick swipe with its dagger.  I checked the axe dwarf as he was blinking that he was injured but all I could see was that he was pale.  I'd lucked out and got a doctor early on so the hospital was already up an running so when he didn't seem to be going to get looked at I stood the squad down so he could.  Instead of doing so he wandered off to his room to sleep it off.  I didn't think much more of it, figuring he'd just got scratched or something, until I noticed miasma in the barracks, curious, as I thought all the remains had been dragged off to the refuse pile, I checked and found the axe dwarf's rotten arm under a peice of equipment that hadn't been dragged away yet.  He still hasn't gone and had his stump looked at and is quite happily sparring away with his captain.

Particularly as when I checked his thoughts he had "He sustained minor injuries recently" along with "His left arm is gone"

I was traveling through a mountain, when me and my human hammerman and pikeman get ambushed. In the middle of the fight...



I also lost one on the way there to unknown curcumstances - I thought I just didn't see the attacker, but now I wonder.

Due to an unpulled lever, a fort has flooded. One of the survivors takes upon himself a heroic and suicidal task of digging a drain to one of the lower levels. He breaches the flooded level's wall, the water rushes him to the drain, he falls, blood everywhere, he breaks both legs, and an arm, and an elbow, and... goodness, that's lovely.
