Helvus There it is, Helvus. There it is that you will make your fortune and future for yourself. Hopefully anyway, there is a good chance you’ll be killed down there.
As far as you can tell around 500 years ago Helvus was one of the key players on the inter-solar stage. Then something down there happened that it led to the rest of the partnership of planets to officially revoke it’s status as an civilized planet, bombard the surface with nuclear warheads and erase it from all known star maps, Planetary charts and Galactic records.
Of course word gets out eventually, so after following long chain of leads and visiting several temples to obtain ancient scrolls, dealing with a lot of weird puzzle shit and finally sneaking your way through the powerful defence network that was presumably left behind to prevent people from visiting Helvus. You and your crew are in orbit around the semi-legendary planet with a hold full of
stolen borrowed equipment.
Now admittedly it really doesn’t look that impressive. But according to the scans you took a few minutes ago show that the planet is M class with a breathable atmosphere and vegetation across most of the globe. It also looks like you’ll have the technological advantage over anyone down there. That satellite is very old and as far as you can tell is the only man-made thing in orbit.
You’ll have to decide where you are going to launch the teleport station. Once you’ve launched it down to the planet you’ll teleport down there and start doing whatever it is you are actually going to do. Come to think of it you’ve never considered what you were actually going to do once you found Helvus. Oh well, you’ll figure it out. But yes, where to launch the station. There are settlements down there large enough to be producing enough light to be seen up here, these settlements are closer together in the non-arid areas. According to the scans there are metallic deposits all over the surface but the ones in the southern desert area are more concentrated.
Oh yeah, you also have to decide who you are:
Name:
Gender:
Favorite Colour:
Former/Current Profession:
Personality Traits:
Landing site:What you pick for your profession will affect what kind of 'equipment' you 'borrowed'. But you’ll have enough equipment so that you’ll be able to do things that aren’t your specialty. If you pick something like robotics expert I’ll still give you cloning vats and such.
It probably isn’t clear since the whole planet is brown but the darker areas are more arid and the paler areas are colder.
That's right; I'm starting yet another adventure. This one is sort of a sequel to Build a Colony, but not really linked to it in any way story wise. I'm going to trim the fat to avoid some of the things I thought were wrong with build a colony so basically a lot less items (there was like, 50 types of laser rifle which was probably a bit much).
In case people are worried about my other adventure (The one with the mage). I haven't updated it lately (which is a shame because it only got 2 updates) because I'm just not in the mood for a fantasy setting at the moment. Hence this adventure.
