Sanity's Eclipse:A Horror RTD

The first 6 people will be chosen, further ones will be placed on a waiting list.  Luck and ingenuity are all that keep you alive, and remember to always have fun!  That said, survival is not at all assured and player turn over rate may be high ;), so this rtd is not for the faint of heart or easily disturbed.  You have been warned, it will live up to it's title!

Appearance: 6'1", 170 pounds, athletic build. Hair is brown and cut short, eyes are brown. Currently wearing a blue jacket, white shirt, jeans, and black sneakers.

Reason to come to The City: Benjamin is a relief pitcher for a college team that had come to the city for a game before the outbreak started.
Mutation: Your Vision is hazy and full of tiny pinpricks.
Item: Folding knife; Benny carries one everyone and the guards forgot to check his jacket for it.

Name: Desmond Green
Gender: Male
Appearance: Well dressed man in his late 20's-a fashionably cut power suit, and silvered watch (that stopped ticking), among other accouterments of the financially successful and socially mobile. Brown hair and green eyes, behind a pair of thick lens eye-glasses. Looks very nervous. 5.9 and 189 pds.
Other: A Stock broker by trade, he lives with numbers and calculations-he trusts his own intellect over anything else. He is the oldest son of an extended family-and very protective of those he comes to call family.
Reason to come to The City: His sister Elaine (long estranged) called him from far off, saying she needed to be bailed out of jail-another robbery charge. Something Desmond has done before. He grudgingly agreed, and made the drive to the city...but, when he got to the jail, it was already in chaos. She was no where to be found. He was taken into custody not long after.
Mutation:You are constantly aware of your own heartbeat
Item: A wallet sized picture of Desmond's family-Mother, Father, 2 sisters and 3 brothers. He protects it as he would any precious thing...

I'm gonna make a call, and since this was edited after dwarmins post, say you need to change your mutation mate.  Also one item, yea get the knife or the vodka, hard choice :P

Turn 0:Escape
Alec, Mortimer, Benjamin, Desmond, Ires and Clara stand in a small room, just 6 mattress without sheets, a sink and no windows.  This is where they have been locked in for the last 3 days, after the army captured and quarantined everyone they could find.  Every waking hour for the last three days has been punctured by screams and blasts of gunfire.  Last night it seemed that the army was going from room to room either evacuating people as the note with dinner had mentioned, or occasionally the sounds of gunfire ruptured forth.  The grim procession of what sounded like executions and evacuations never made it to your room, which was situated at the very end of a hallway on the top floor.  For the last few hours it has been eerily quite, as the power flickered on and off, continuously plunging you into darkness.  With one last flicker the power cuts out for what seems an eternity, and when the lights finally come back, the door to your former prison hangs open slightly.  You can hear nothing, absolutely nothing coming from outside the room, as the power continues to flicker.

Mortimer sighed. The door was open, he was hungry and thirsty and there was no way he would wait forever until something happened. Finally making his choice, he sprung up and unholstered his pistol, the quick-draw hoslter already turning its safety off and causing the gun to chamber a bullet.

"I don't know about you guys, but I'm going to check what is outside."

Open the door a little and cautiously peek outside.

Try to look for anything that resembled the structural map or emergency exit map in looking outside.
