Desmond Green is almost last to speak up-rising from a laying position on the mattress with little fanfare, hastily putting on his expensive jacket like it was body armor. He speaks with the easy confidence of a born salesman, that he doesn't feel at all. He knows-Desmond can hear his heart beat faster, seemingly of it's own accord, almost like an alien thing in his chest...it is not a nice thought.

"Likewise. I think it's very clear we need to leave this place, right away. Whatever law and order was here, has collapsed. I think...we're on our own."

He began straightening his cufflinks by force of habit, more out of nervousness than anything.

"It would be in all our best interest to stick together, for the moment. Agreed?" he finished, giving a speech no one probably cared about except for him.

Desmond tensed up, as one of their members poked his head out the door. He wondered if the man who called himself Mortimer Alexanov was just brave because of his gun, or if he real courage...

Not that he could say he knew any of them. At least two had smuggled in knives-they looked like criminals to Desmond. The two women were, like him, unarmed from he could tell. He couldn't say if they were trustworthy..but he knew he had to get out of this prison, and find his Sister, get her home. He might need them for awhile. That tentative goal was holding the fragile strings of his sanity in a loose web, for now.

Action: Prepare to leave with the others, depending on what Mortimer sees outside...

As Alec paces the room he looks shifty-eyed and paranoid. Not knowing what to expect from this odd situation, he continues to pace while trying to calm himself down. He puts his hand on the hilt of his blade and draws it.

Turn 1:Agent 9 and Red X's
Mortimer sighed. The door was open, he was hungry and thirsty and there was no way he would wait forever until something happened. Finally making his choice, he sprung up and unholstered his pistol, the quick-draw hoslter already turning its safety off and causing the gun to chamber a bullet.

"I don't know about you guys, but I'm going to check what is outside."

Open the door a little and cautiously peek outside.

Having quickly become the leader, whether through initiative or the unnerving firearm, you take the lead.  You lean out the door to take a look about (1) and are startled by a rat (8) but you manage to contain yourself and avoid any potentially nasty misfires.  Gathering yourself a bit you take a slow look around (6), the hallway seems fairly devoid of anything, a few streaks of blood leading from doorways and down the hall.  (2) You fail to notice anything even slightly helpful in the dim lighting, except that it appears that every other door on this level has been locked shut.

"Right behind you, Mort."

Benny follows the Russkie to the door and peeks over his head to check it out.

(We've been here for three days with nothing to do, so I assume we've - at the very least - told each other our names. >.>)
After Mortimer's initial scare at the rather large rat in the hallway, which promptly ran away, you peek out over his head.  (7) You manage to notice a key in the doorknob of the rooms door, along with a note;  "Your group seemed the healthiest, so I marked you all as dead... Hopefully it buys you the time you need to escape, I'm not sure what the armies doing but it's definitely not in the interest of the people,  Your Friend Agent 9"  It appears that whoever this Agent 9 is, they seem to be the only reason that you were left here and then subsequently let out.

"H-hey, wait. I'm going with you.

"It's quiet again. You don't think the schedule is...off, right?"

Follow Mortimer and change my location to near the door.

Try to look for anything that resembled the structural map or emergency exit map in looking outside.

((Yep, along with some side-talk and knowledge on what we were and who we basically are.))
(1) You fail to see any sort of map or emergency guide, and end up completely occupied by the note that Benny found along with the key on the rooms door. (4) Other then a small glance about which affords no real information about your location, you manage to not achieve very much.

(5) You re-arrange yourself one last time for good measure and end up pushing your way past the others into the hallway, since it seems clear except for a few streaks of blood.  They stand there vigorously going over a small note that was stuck to the door, so you decide to look about a little bit. (9) You see that it appears almost every door in the hallway is marked with a large red X and all appear to be tightly locked, there is about 15 doors on each side of the hallway, which ends at an intersection.  From here you can see what looks like a map at the far end of the hallway where it merges into another one.  Behind you, which is the farthest end of the hallway is a barred over window, one of the bars appears somewhat loose {8} squeeze through.  The view through the window is simply the side of another building, and it appears you are about 5 stories up.
-Gained Rusted Metal Bar

As Alec paces the room he looks shifty-eyed and paranoid. Not knowing what to expect from this odd situation, he continues to pace while trying to calm himself down. He puts his hand on the hilt of his blade and draws it.

Assume cautious stance
(4) You quite cautiously assume a somewhat paranoid looking stance, {8} you quite expertly calm yourself down, so much so you feel as though you are about to fall asleep.  Twirling the blade absentmindedly you decide to walk out towards the door, and lean against the wall trying you best to be cautious while 'keeping your cool'.  It fails to really impress anyone since they have more pressing worries atm.

Clara says nothing staring at the wall across from her while the others talk. Finally, she stands up and stretches her legs.

Follow the others.
{8} You follow the group and end up pushing your way past them into the hallway, since everything looks to be all clear for now.  Arriving in the hallway just as Desmond manages to rip a metal bar off of the window at the end of the hall. {7} You look around the hallway and take note that your rooms door has a large red X on it, as well as all but two of the other rooms in the hallway, making 2/30 doors unmarked that you can see.  They all appear to be firmly locked shut and you listen closely to the door across the hall which is not marked.  You seem to think that you hear soft crying in the room beyond but have a hard time telling if it's coming from outside, from the room or your own mind.

Mortimer grimaced. The pain he had been feeling and the tense environment had been, if anything, making his reflexes sharper or moving towards a level of exaggerated response. As soon as he saw and heard movement, the youngster promptly turned to face it in startled surprise, gun in hand...But it was only a big rat; luckily he was able to avoid spending ammo for nothing.

He sighed even harder and adopted the tactical advance stance he had learned during simulated urban combat, his legs tensed and prepared to drop him into a crouch or prone position as soon as any threat appeared and accurate fire was needed.

"Let's move, I doubt waiting here will get us anything meaningful."

Find a way out, move in front of the group. Move carefully and signal to the people behind if anything strange is found.

Ires nodded at Mortimer's command, the note was fairly intriguing, giving the fact that they were here for a reason, and that perhaps the red Xs probably meant death. Just like during the Bubonic plague.

Follow Desmond who is following Mortimer.

Turn 2:Stumbling in the Dark and waking a horde

(2) You manage to smash against the door as the lights go out once again, (1) as the lights flick back on you hear groaning coming from most of the rooms in the hallway, and just as you take a single step out the door across the hallway is suddenly smashed from the inside.  Something lets out an ungodly roar from the inside and smashes the door again as other doors in the hallway begin bucking and shaking as they are similarly crashed into.  You can hear cracking as some doors begin to slowly break under the assault.  The lights continue to flicker on and off (6) as you gather yourself and the group and yell for them to run, quickly realizing that very soon the hallway will be swarming with whatever is in the rooms.  (9) Leading the way everyone quickly falls in behind you, at the end of the hallway you spot a map that clearly marks out a elevator down the hallway to the right a short distance, and farther down the same hallway the fire escape.  The ungodly sounds coming from the hallway seem to have agitated other things in the building and the floor nearly shakes with the combination of many diverse and blood chilling screams.  The streaks of blood that come from numerous rooms all appear to be leading down the hallway towards the elevator and the stairway.  Alec goes streaking down the hall past you, and a few seconds later you hear a scream and a crash.  There appears to be something at the far end of the hallway where the stairs should be, but you can not see past Alec well enough to tell what it is, you hear the elevator bing as it arrives at your floor.

Alec wonders about the commotion happening outside the door. A bit more sure of the situation, he puts away his knife and slowly walks towards his comrades.

Follow group and scout out what is happening
After the power flickers and something bashes into the door frame loudly, you can hear groans from the rooms around.  Mortimer seems to regain his ability to act first and quickly leads the way down the hallway at a quick run, as things begin bashing against most of the doors in the hallway.(7)  Taking the initiative as the group reaches the end of the hallway, you shoot a cursory glance at the floor plan, and run right on past towards the elevators. (8 ) Reaching the first of two elevators in record time you quickly bash both buttons, as the power seems to level out and you think they may be operational. (3, 7) one elevator appears to be unresponsive, but the other one displays a 4 on the LED panel above the doors, denoting that it is only one level down and on the way up. (1) Looking around you can see the stair well just a bit father away, while the group is back up the second hallway not too far.  You jump as the door to the stair well suddenly crashes open, what appears to be an over-gorged person falls out into the hallway.  Hitting the floor the massively overweight man gurgles and you can see his ribs poking out through the skin at his sides, they begin to twitch back and forth, the whole of his mass writhing as he attempts to right himself. (3) You can't help yourself, you scream in horror as in scrambles back to its feet... and looks directly into your eyes, it's grey pupils dilating as drool drips down it's face.  Behind you the elevator doors slide open.
-10 sanity

Follow along. Try not to lag behind. At all.
The lights flicker and you hear a crash, seconds later everyone is running down the halls as things from the surrounding rooms howl and scream, the locked doors shuddering as things attempt to break through into the hallway. (10) You bolt down the hallway, grabbing Benny and dragging him along with, keeping perfect pace with Mortimer, Alec goes running past and you follow after him.  He stops ahead of you at the elevator and quickly calls both of them, you hear a crash and he turns around, blocking  your sight somewhat but you hear him scream in terror.  The elevator doors slide open.

"Someone let us out, calling himself Agent 9 or something," Benny noted, taking the key and the note. Both went into his pockets, just in case.

Benny continues to follow Mortimer and help him if he asks for it.
The lights flicker and someone slams into the door, creating a massive bang.  Just as the lights come back on it is met with similar crashes as things slam into the locked doors, you hear creaking from the assault as an ungodly group of howls and roars goes up from the various rooms. (1) You start mortified in the doorway until Clara grabs you and drags you after her.  (9) You manage to snap to your sense and run after the group.  Clara and Alec split off and run down to the right, it appears there is a elevator at the end.  You hear a crash followed by a loud scream, and a few seconds later the elevator slides open.

Desmond hefted his metal bar, feeling it's comfortable weight...

Action: Follow and assist!
(5) You stay at the back, as suddenly a cacophony of smashes and roars picks up from the surrounding rooms.  You hang back to make sure everyone moves, and drag Ires along with you as the doors begin to crack under the assault of whatever was locked in the rooms.  A few of the group is at the end of the hallway, while the rest just ran straight along around the corner.  You hear smashing and screams, not all seem to be completely inhuman.  You take one last look back as the door that was directly across from the room crashes open.  Someone, or something walks out, a large man covered in what appears to be the beginnings of a carapace.  He hisses at you and begins lumbering down the hallway towards you and the group, obviously unsure of his legs which seem to be bent in the wrong direction.  (8 ) You Ready the metal bar and back up down the hallway, encase he suddenly lunges you ready yourself for an imminent attack.  You hear what sounds like an elevator dinging on your level, from the hallway down to the right were the others ran.

Ires nodded at Mortimer's command, the note was fairly intriguing, giving the fact that they were here for a reason, and that perhaps the red Xs probably meant death. Just like during the Bubonic plague.

Follow Desmond who is following Mortimer.

Keep an eye out for any directional signs, and examine the condition of the place.

Someone bashes into the door, creating a loud reverberating bang as the lights go out again for a few seconds.  You hear screams and notice that the doors appear to be cracked as if something was bashing on the insides of them, they suddenly buckle outwards as the scream and roars turn into rage and something slams against the doors in the hallway.(6) You are confused momentarily until Desmond grabs you and pushes you down the hallway, you run to catch up with the group, and at the end of the hallway look back to make sure Desmond followed.  (8 ) At that moment in time the door that was across the hallway from where you were kept buckles outwards and some type of half insect man stumbles out.  Looking closely you can see bits of skin peeling away, as crimson blood runs over freshly revealed carapace.  Parts of the things body look to be still human, (9) and you momentarily wonder if this is part of the disease, and whether he is becoming a monster or you are going insane.  You decide he most definitely is becoming a monster.  You blink and an image of the beast fully grown crosses your mind, a huge hissing Bee like thing, swarms of them flying across the sky even as flames roar in the background of your mind.  (7) You shudder and quickly shake off the thought.

"The beasts...

They were people.

We could've been...

Them. Monsters."
Ires whispered to nobody in particular. She edged closer to Desmond - he who aided her as the group escaped near the elevators.

"We should find a stairwell! Elevators can't be trusted with the faulty wiring. I'm an Architect!"

Search for a fire exit map nearby, also, a stairwell nearby. If locked, try to bash it down. If not wooden and unlocked, keep watch for any other hostile.

If not, push everyone into the elevator and be the last to get in.

Sorry I kinda meant to update like a group info thing at the bottom, you are aware there is a emergency staircase past the elevator in the same hallway as it, but there is also a large mutant thing between the stairs and you, if yea want an explanation read Chromes turn :).  I'll definitely remember to keep a list of 'group info' next turn! :D

The sounds, they were everywhere. She blinked, and they were worse.

Ires grasped her amulet tightly and held Desmond's shoulder. "I don't think we've any choice but the elevator, unless anyone wants to fight that thing. There's also a Bee man back in the hall. They plan to take over the world by the way."

Follow everyone else Desmond's plan!
