((Why are my first rolls always so bad? I just brought monster apocalypse over my teammates. That kind of thing should be done by an "environment" roll.))

Mortimer snarled as he quickly broke into a run ahead of the group. He had seen enough horror movies to know what the hell was going on. Mutations, quarantine, the army. There was something ungodly happening here, and there was no way he would give up and let the the rest of the group die.

He advanced, pistol sweeping the same area his eyes scanned. When he saw Alec - who had ran ahead of him - with a startled expression etched onto his face, he just knew there would be problems waiting for him there.

"To the elevator, quick! I'll try to provide some cover."

Run towards the elevator and help the teammates. As soon as the thing Alec found is within line of sight, quickly drop into a crouch and pop some one or two shots at its head. Get back to running after it and shoot while running to keep it (and any incoming creatures) away from Alec and the rest of the group. Only get into the elevator after the rest is in.

"Right behind you, bro."

Benny drew his knife and stood just behind and to the side of Mortimer, waiting for the others to pile into the elevator first while also keeping watch on the... things... that Mortimer wasn't looking at.

The first roll was you attempting to sneak out, the second roll was an environmental roll for what sort of consequences you would get.  I'll make that more clear though from now on though mate :), on the other hand I could just have you break your nose on the door instead next time, honestly I'm not quite sure why I went the way I did, normally that sort of thing I do leave up to an enviro roll at the end

Desmond had been lucky, he supposed, to have only seen a glimpse of...whatever that was. He had walled it off in his mind, and labeled it "RADIOACTIVE". It should keep there for a bit. He was sure, with many years of therapy, he might be able to forget it entirely...heh.

Yet, he had no idea why the woman he had inadvertently saved-it was a reflex more than anything-seemed to trust him so. But, she was someone to protect, wasn't she? Her hand was on his shoulder, and she was gripping tight enough to dig her nails into him. Holding on for dear life. The pain clarified it. Desmond's world became a little more stable. Yes. He would protect her. It was his job.

He might not be a Superhero...but, he could be brave for her.

"...uh, it'll be alright. Just stay behind me." Desmond said to Ires, as bravely as he could. He managed to keep his voice from shaking, but only just.

Action: Pile into the elevator with the rest, guarding the retreating party, pipe ready to smack anything that gets close to us.

For lack of any way to help everyone get into the elevator, Clara powers on her laptop and sees if she can somehow get internet access to find out what the hell is going on.

Power on laptop. Check time and wifi.

Alecs gut knots in terror as the abomination in front of him stares into his soul. Tense, but not without his wits, he calls for help from his group, while backing away from the creature.

Call for help and space self

Not overly sure what you mean by this?  Has in the elevator?  Yeah, there would be one.  In the building?  The windows had been welded over with metal bars by the army, and the fire stairwell is where the glutton monstrosity is.  Either way turn in about 30 minutes, am writing right now!

Turn 3:Of Great Hits, Shots, and a military database

Managing to move the whole group towards the elevator, (5) you have a hard time keeping your eyes on both the retreat and potential attackers.  (enemy roll=8) The half-insect man makes a massive charge forward and closes with you in no time at all, it's unnatural speed taking you off gaurd.  (1+1vs10) It does however seem to not be able to slow down, and with a bit of build up you swing with your full might straight into it's head.  With a grotesque cracking sound it flies straight past you and slams into the wall, slumping down to the floor clearly dead.  Your metal bar seems a bit bent though from the force of the impact.  (6) You turn and run into the elevator just as (3) a number of doors in the hallway bust open, crashing to the floor in a shower of splinters.  Not stopping to look back you pile into the elevator with the rest of the group.
Item Changed to- Bent Rusted Metal Bar

The sounds, they were everywhere. She blinked, and they were worse.

Ires grasped her amulet tightly and held Desmond's shoulder. "I don't think we've any choice but the elevator, unless anyone wants to fight that thing. There's also a Bee man back in the hall. They plan to take over the world by the way."

Follow everyone else Desmond's plan!
(9) You follow right behind everyone, and quickly get into the elevator just as you hear a sickening whack, looking back you see the bee-man slowly crumple to the floor.  (7) You notice that it is almost as though the monsters are somewhat confused by their own bodies, and have very low amounts of motor control at the moment.
The glutton monstrosity is quickly blasted into pieces as you hurry into the elevator with everyone else, behind you Mortimer is dragged in last by Benny so, you hit the button on the elevator to close the doors.  Just as the doors slide shut you hear a crash and growl from the other side.  (8 ) Blinking you have a vision of blood red gems glowing in the darkness, they grow brighter and brighter till all you can see is a red glow.  Gasping you snap back to reality, seeming to have not lost any time what so-ever as your vision took place.

(8 ) You expertly maneuver everyone into the elevator, and just as Alec steps out of the way you drop into a near perfect shooting stance, (7+2, 6+1vs1) You fire two successive rounds off with amazing accuracy, the glutton creature staggers backwards before toppling to the floor.  Two bullet holes are embedded in the wall surrounded by black blood, perfectly at the same level as the creatures eyes.  You hear a meaty whack and turn gun at the ready, just in time to see the insect creature crumple to the ground, a sizable dent in its skull.  Desmond runs past you and from behind him you see other doors shatter, creatures fight in the doorways as the lights flicker, their eyes seeming to glow red in the dark.  (1) You are memorized on the spot and calmly sit down on to the floor, losing all concept of time you wake up leaning against the wall of the elevator as the doors slide closed.

"Right behind you, bro."

Benny drew his knife and stood just behind and to the side of Mortimer, waiting for the others to pile into the elevator first while also keeping watch on the... things... that Mortimer wasn't looking at.
(4) Drawing your knife, you are too slow to react to either of the creatures as one is blasted apart by Mortimer and the insect man quickly falls to a heavy blow from Desmond. (7) A few more of the doors back in the farther hallway shatter, and as you watch Mortimer crumbles down to the floor.  Believing him to be hurt you grab him under his arms (9) and drag him rapidly into the elevators before anything else manages to get close.  Propping him against the elevators wall you check him for injuries, but he appears fine all except for the slight blood red glow to his eyes, which quickly fades away.  His demeanor instantly changes back to normal as the elevator doors slide closed.

For lack of any way to help everyone get into the elevator, Clara powers on her laptop and sees if she can somehow get internet access to find out what the hell is going on.

Power on laptop. Check time and wifi.
(6) You hurry quickly into the elevator and lean against the wall, pulling out your laptop you quickly power it on. (10) It near instantly connects to a local wireless broadcast, however it appears to be an encrypted military signal, (9) after a few seconds of fiddling you manage to find a way to connect that bypasses the need of a password.  (10) You find a massive storage of documents which seem to pertain to particular things that the army has encountered over the last week, the sheer amount of information is unbelievable.    However it seems to only give descriptions of the various monsters that the army's scientists have encountered, and gives no word on how far it has spread nor what the cause could be.  The entire site is set up with a built in search engine that allows you to quickly find specific files that are categorized by appearance, behavior, and even what they tend to do to the local area. (10) You are able to completely download the site and all it's information to your computer, however it appears that no entries have been included for the last 24 hours, and it contains no links to anything outside the city.
The time is currently 1:15 pm
-Item gained Military Created Monstrosity Database
-Uplink gained:City Based Military Network

Alecs gut knots in terror as the abomination in front of him stares into his soul. Tense, but not without his wits, he calls for help from his group, while backing away from the creature.

Call for help and space self
(6) You quickly shout for help and back up against the wall beside the elevator.  Just as your back touches the wall you hear two loud bangs and the abomination suddenly staggers backwards.  (3) Blood from it splatters onto your arms as it's eyes are blasted clean out of it's skull, hitting the ground the creature twitches once and lays still.  (2) The blood from the creature appears to quickly soak into your skin, it's blackness dissolving into your veins and becoming unnoticeable in seconds.  (3) Your head suddenly feels like the day after a massive drug and liquor fueled binge and you stagger into the elevator, barely staying conscious.  The doors slide shut behind you as your vision slowly narrows down, but stops once about half your sight has been turned black.  (7) The pain reseeds enough that you feel like you could deal with it for now, but your vision stays at it's narrowed form.
-Vision Decreased
-Moderate Pain

Group Event:
(5) The elevator doors slide closed on the hallway, and the doors reverberate once or twice from the sounds of bodies slamming into the other side.  However you can not hear anything else from the outside, except perhaps the sound of retreating footsteps.  The building goes eerily quite as you sit in the motionless elevator. (6) The power flickers slightly but stays mostly strong, and the elevators control panel gleams with the illumintated buttons of:

I'll go with the first 3 votes as to what level to go to, since we have an even number and a majority won't work well.  on the other hand if the votes are split up differently then majority rules, that or the guy with the gun :p
