Asane"Akio, I don't thin-"
"Quiet, you idiot!" Akio roars at the meeker of the two people at his shoulder, before turning back to you, grinning. "Sure, Samurai-ko. The temple here has a hot springs. Open to the public, let's go."
With that, oblivious, he turns to head outside.

Pierce takes up position to guard you from the drunk, despite the obvious risk to himself.
Your battle has begun to draw a crowd.

He pauses to think, as you continue on with your proposal.

"...an interesting belief, and an interesting proposal. You are an interesting man, Kenage-san. A courtier from a family of bushi, and a clever one still. Very well: You shall travel to Fuyusan-jo, the nearest Tokaku Garrison, in order to remind that clan of their promise of aid. In return, I will release the Akahoshi samurai into your custody, for the purpose of tracking down the Ronin and stopping him."
Another pause, then, before he states: (

You know that this is a ploy to continue torturing the samurai for information. It could be that by the time you return, he's hardly as useful as he was before. It occurs to you that you could mention Asane's accompaniment. She looked to be a capable warrior. (You will gain a bonus to your argument for doing so)
YoruYou look around. The sporting arena is in the middle of Sumeru, just a ways away from the Market. You suppose you could try to run into the alleyways, those aren't exactly well-lit and some are a bit cluttered.
OshaberiYou gain 2 Koku, bringing your purse to a whopping 10 Koku and 2 Bu. You're far from rich, but you imagine you're much better off than most travelers at the moment.
(
3640(0(21))=31) You take a casual stroll through Sumeru. It isn't long before you spot just the sort of "doctor" you need to talk to in order to obtain poisons and other ill-suited "remedies." As usual, there's a rather limited supply based on the local flora and fauna.
If you could craft your own poisons (a skill you would need to find a teacher in order to learn), you could probably get them at a much lower price.
The Sumeru "Apothecary"
- Dripping Poison, an often deadly poison meant to be dripped from a string into a sleeping target's mouth: 10 Koku
- Night Milk, a white residue traditionally painted onto weapons which induces dizziness: 15 Koku
- Black Snake Venom, a venom that must be injected into the blood, known for crippling pain, the occasional slow death, and inconspicuousness: 15 Bu (3 Koku)
TedYou blurt out more truths and lies, attempting to save your clan. But it's too late: The man you need to convince is gone, now it's just the torturer, trying to extract information.
After a long while of making no headway, he drags you back up to your cell and throws you in, promising that he'll be back later.
HoriYou point out that you are, in fact, complying. The man accepts it, but doesn't look too amused.
Finally, the three heavily armed farmers reach your hiding spot. "Ronin-san," one of them begins, "might we ask what you were doing here? And who you were aiming to shoot?"
