Faith will snap out of her coma and spend the year in intellectual pursuits, ideally helping the research teams (we still have those right?) and maybe even the Doctor.

She'll also look into getting her current inhibitor system replaced with something with fewer possible long-term side effects, and making sure to "vent" it periodically to avoid buildup like on the Ground Zero mission.

She'll also check if she ever leveled up after her last mission.
Will she also be joining next mission, perhaps?

I assume so, since it's either that or sip virtual tea in the command room hoping not to get shot anyway.

No idea where she'd go, though, especially since there's no budget to reequip her with.

I have a spare laser rifle and a cutlass.

I'm not sure if it needs a battery, though.

Lerman spends the rest of the year training to use his cutting laser and Gauss pistol (Miyamoto made it for a question coupon) against enemies at range. Continue biological survey of surrounding area, research the critters for possible combat stimulants or medical advantages. Finally, 'acquire' goodies for a mechsuit without anyone noticing.
Con has increased by 3.
You lose your right hand to some local fauna.
Simus punches you in the stomach for trying to steal.

Oh geez. Um. I dunno.

Try to design things in Tinker and learn about what happened on past missions. Also help set things up I guess?
Ideally try to piece together little details about how my resurrection thing works, by seeing if I revert for nonlethal injuries and anything else that comes up, but don't actively try to experiment. I'm not an idiot.
If people let me have my pill machine and little fuzzy ant-things, test the effects of pills made from various free/common things, like food, silverware, Mellows, Xeno-Spit, air, and (when no one is looking) other ant-things, possibly including ones which had eaten other pills. Determine effects of various types of pills.

...Alright.
Purchase a Medium Gold Hexagonal Nyars box with a diagonal line. Examine contents; attempt to determine what they are/do.
Aux increased to 5.
You figure out that your immortality only triggers when you actually die, not just get injured.
They don't give you the pill machine.
You get the nyars box. The thing inside is weird.
It's just a collection of spiderweb fine lines, lit by some inner power and swirling like smoke in the wind. Occasionally a surface materializes within those lines and the whole chaotic web will take on a definite shape, a cube or pyramid or sphere, but it will vanish as quickly as it appeared and the mass of light shall once again become formless.

Attempting to touch it makes you hallucinate. Usually in very unpleasant ways.

Actions for the timeskip:
-Go to Simus and create a copy of my brain with my personality. Excrete it with enough biomass to build a body the size of a Golden Retriever and give it to Simus to store in a hidden box or something.
-Then head back to the ship and spend the year practicing shapeshifting so I can do it more times before I run out of biomass reserves.
-Oh, and kill and consume that goddamn fishman.
-Test out that katana I recieved from the Christmas draw on various targets.
-Search up that Halstrom effect or whatever it was that synth flesh exhibits in large amounts.
-Buy and get a Mass Manipulator Amp installed (7 token).

A dog sized brain copy was created. It is of...questionable correctness.
Will increased to 25.
You eat him with eel sauce.
It's just a normal katana, from what you can see.
I believe  we already went over that, if not in character, but it basically means that synthflesh defies physics at an increasing degree as more of it gets together.
Bought and installed.

Jack spends the Year practice useing his various weapons, learning how to drive the APC/Rocket bike/ThunderTron/any other vehicles. He also helps with repairing anything that needs repairing. Oh and he tries to improve his strength endurance and will as much as he can.
Aux and Con increased to 3 and 4 respectively

Angel will spend the year training in the gym focusing on endurance training and in VR with the laser rifle running through as many different scenarios as possible: with weights on arms and legs, in high and low-g environments, in uneven and shifting G-fields, snap shooting and precise sniping, hostage scenarios, MOUT, impaired visibility basically anything he can think of, he'll spend less time but still some on VR sparring with the monoatomic razor, getting a feel for it and how it responds .
End increased to 5.
Con and Uncon increased to 2

Miyamoto uses the year to try and master his naginata (aka make using it require an uncon roll instead of a dex roll).

If this is not possible/not allowed, he spends the year training with his universal manip. He'll try finding new techniques, like combining different 'flavors' of manip to achieve special effects (like the 'expanding heatblade' thing he used on those riot-shield using sods). Failing that, he tries to increase his mindpool so he can use his manip longer before tiring out.

Quote
AFTER THE TIME SKIP, I WILL TURN CONTROL OF ALL TROOPS OVER TO MIYAMOTO AND THE TRUE DEATH MAY BEGIN
Why do I suddenly get the feeling we didn't prepare enough and we're all gonna die thanks to my inept plans? OH GOD THE PRESSURE
Rather then changing how it works, We'll just make it a monorazor naginata so it can use it with uncon.

Get my head attached, hopefully not backwards.
Grow a mohawk.
Find out any and all features the robot body has.
Practice with my new body, hopefully gaining some dexterity.
Acquire in character knowledge of previous missions.

Dex up to 5.

Knowledge gained.

Get a Nyars box, then - large, green triangle, vertical line. Try to figure out what it is without activating it. Train efficient and effective amp use. Try to get a better rapport with my ghosts, try to find out if and how they can help me, and thus themselves.
You buy a capsule. it contains a skin tight white suit covered in small blinking, grayish nodes. It has a button to press but you don't want to.

You train exo up to 12.

Ghosts continue to be semi-uselessly cryptic.

Felix spends the year training his body and mind. He'll be using the Dexterity and Endurance exercise machines, mostly, although he'll use the Strength machine, as well. He'll exercise one machine at a time, and in-between, while he's resting, he'll be in VR, practicing his marksmanship and hand-to-hand fighting (Con and Uncon training). He'll also practice with his amp away from the base, roughly once a week or so.

Also he searches up 'Man-nip' on the Internet, and asks the AM about it, just to confirm.

Man Nip is exactly what you think it is. Probably.

Also, your attempt to gain as much as possible has resulted in you gaining very little but in many things.

Master my cat-instincts, senses, and abilities, over the course of the time-skip.
We're gonna just say you no longer get those "attempting not to cat" rolls.

Practice manipulating things with my amp, and shuttle piloting.

((Chill out Radio. A battle plan never survives first contact with an enemy. And besides, we're far more likely to fail from our own ineptitude in following your plans.))

Well, you get exo to 6, and we'll say you get the standard "Can pilot in normal circumstances" thing.
((Time for me to get over my procrastination and get Lars working on propheteering!))

Do the below.  Not bolded for sake of eyesight.  TL;DR Lars works on setting up Steve's propaganda machine.  Charles is welcome to assist.

Core vision:  Steve, his three Generals (Miyamoto, Jim, and Milno), and the ARM as a whole will be the saviors of the world, bringing in a new age of peace, prosperity, and happiness while the gross, bloated, corrupted, and now evil UWM is kicked to the curb.  There might be a quasi-religious vibe to the work, but it's never stated that these people are anything more than mortal.

If Lars never did fix the picture of Steve Sophos to not have an enormous package, do so now; keep a copy of the original.  The Generals will use images of their original appearances (that is, before any battle scars or Doc shenanigans), except for Milno- after surely being chastised by the AM for wanting to plaster the face of our secret ops leader everywhere, Milno's face is replaced by a much more generic looking one- think classic James Bond style- UNLESS Milno The Snark works better as-is.  His role as a covert-ops leader is never explicitly stated- his pictured role is more that of a daring adventurer who rescues women tied to railroad tracks, etc etc.  Miyamoto, of course, is a brilliant strategist who is at the top of the armies, while Jim is an incredible field commander who anyone would die for.

Design several series of posters- Steve standing on a rocky outcropping looking out onto a saved prosperous world with messages such as "He is leading the ARM to free us all" and some such.  Most posters will feature the Steve design, but not all.  Some are more generalized ARM-is-awesome posters, with them liberating women and children, kissing babies, and all that.  There are also the UWM IS THE SUCK posters, with them eating babies and pillaging women and suchlike.

Lars will interview any willing inmate, crewmember, or local on how the UWM has screwed them over.  Truthfulness is optional, and wholesale fiction is okay too.  Take the best bits and edit them into a video documentary that would make Michael Moore cry.  Include footage of atrocities- ideally done by UWM.  Let's not include China-9 and Ice-9.  Any good leftover bits (or those that for whatever reason no visual will work) can be made into an audio-only version.  Flint will be tapped for his acting past.

Get someone with an impressive booming voice (or a human-sounding facsimile- (think the "In a world..." movie trailer guy) to record announcements to blast at civilians, decrying the atrocities of the UWM and how they make life crappy.  They should go on to say how the ARM is coming to right the wrongs and put humanity back on the path of all that is well and good and puppies and sunshiny roses.

All materials will be submitted to Steve for distribution- he knows what needs to go where and can get it there in a timely manner.  If he has any accounts that can be added to the documentary, so much the better.

**In all cases** the AM is considered the editor, and her opinions will generally be taken into account.  Be willing to take suggestion and input from teammates, as long as they don't seriously conflict with the core vision outlined here.  If possible, request space on the ship to act as the Propaganda Office.

Also create a shrine to reverently store the Arm of Steve.  Enshrine it near the Bust of St. Milno.

Oh yeah, and finish reading the HMRC Pantheon.

If we're doing stat-buffing work this is probably handiwork or charisma

((All:  Am I missing anything obvious?  I'll probably edit this a few times to make sure it's good to go.))
We'll say you get that all done and buff up handi and charisma a bit.

Whatsisface spends the year wandering around going "huh", buying a Gauss rifle and Kinetic Amp Glove, and training with them.
Bought and con taken to 3, uncon to 4.

Attempt to get extra amp training from the AM during the year time skip. If this isn't possible or I have free time outside of this, run the Amp defence course over and over

Exo to 12.

Theodore gets healed, debriefed, and figures out what happened to the tear of Timmy and his other belongings.  He also takes the black pills to the doctor to see if the doctor can identify them.  Anything else important, like volunteering for defense and boarding.  He then devotes his time to practicing with all forms of conventional weaponry, that he can use safely that is.
For leveling up from the defense mission, we still get 5 stat points and three skill points, right?
Stats: +2 strength, +2 endurance, +1 intelligence
Skills:+2 Con, +1 Int
Potentially get a 1 token bonus for defending the sword.

You're basically fine. Same as ever.
Tear of Timmy is still in your chest. The Doctor doesn't remove it, says it's best to keep it there.  Your other stuff survived and is still there.
Black pills are deadly poison. Specifically a paralytic.
Con leveled to 4.

Something I can carry without losing the MkIII's speed bonus (losing the strength one being a secondary concern) and capable of withstanding around as much punishment as battlesuit armor.

Spoiler: Updated Timeskip Quote (click to show/hide)
Something that strong and light would be pretty expensive. 10 or more at least.

1-don't seem to
2-it can, though doing that in your body is a bad idea. Trip to the infirmary and new scars with that one.
3-projectiles can be created BUT NOT FIRED. Ie they can manufacture a thing that could be shot out, but they can't shoot it themselves.
4-Speed can't, but strength can in certain situations and resistance can be passively increased. Though doing these things is potentially dangerous because it involves manipulating and growing the sharkmist inside your body, so mistakes are dangerous
5-The things made by the shark mist seem to be inanimate. As in, the microbes made them but don't stay inside them. Like humans make buildings but aren't part of the building.

1-Yes
2-needs ammo, but can absorb new ammo just fine
3- it needs more then just metal (remember the rounds are combo rocket gauss) but yes, if it has the parts.
4.Yep
5.Yes
6.Yep
7.It can control technology from a distance after touching it, so yes, it can do that, provided you get hold of it first.
8. Spoil sport.

1.ok
2.will to 17, dex and str up 1. Speech to 1. intuition to 3.
3. There's what amounts to one with the sandbag system.

TIMESKIP ACTIONS

>Write a series of racy romance novels involving space pirates, scary weird-ass aliens and dashing revolutionaries like myself, self-publish and distribute them to the poor fucks who we're liberating. Well, some of them- the rest I will sell. FIRST ONE'S FREE, KIDS

>Practice speaking to/passionately kissing a mirror. In private.

>Get Whig various attachments, like a fancy scope, extended clip, an ergonomic stock/grip and an amusing crosshair shaped like a smiley face. I dunno basically whatever I can get for her, m'lady deserves only the very best attachments after all.

>Get some metal from somewhere and attempt to make a rough prototype of that whole 'gauss rifle shield' idea I had ages ago. You know, it's like a riot shield that clips on over the front of a rifle, allowing a prone person to aim and make shots whilst shielded from incoming fire.

>Finally, and most importantly, grow a luxurious moustache worthy of any brave and charismatic leader.

I'm aiming for a kind of Wyatt Earp look with the 'stache.

EDIT: >Rent out my porno mag to uncouth, sleazy types for the low, low price of a token per day-- after sampling it first myself, of course.

We'll just boost those charisma and speech stat and skill.

Buy your rifle a nice pair of ear rings.

Over the period of one year: Practice doctoring.  Can I get better to the point where routine operations don't require a roll or overshots are less likely?  Also practice flying (the shuttle and the suit), shooting the pyramid, and doing aux stuff.  Just get better at everything, basically.

We're just gonna trade the year for an ability similar to maurice's where you don't have to roll for standard medical stuff.

In order of priority, Steve Saint will spend the year:
  • Trying to familiarize himself with as much UWM technology as possible, with an emphasis on computer systems and other AUX stuff.  This is both operation (how to fly shuttles) and general knowledge on how stuff works.
  • Trying to meet and get to know as many ARM people as possible.
  • Helping Anton Chernozorov out with writing the software needed for his robot horse.
  • Trying to improve suit to suit comms, particularly encryption.  Make our comms impossible to hack.
  • Using that movement recording program he wrote for the exoskeleton to build up a massive library of movements.

If this is just increasing stats, and not getting any new abilities like piloting, increase will and AUX.

Aux increased to 6. Will increased to 17.

If Denzel can receive melee weapon training from the doctor without having to duel someone, he will.
Either way, he trains END up and purchases...

Also, if he can trade the baseball bat for a Nyars capsule, he gets a green heptagon, in the largest size he can.

A microwave manipulator. He then practices on the VR machines to hone his monosword and combi-weapon skills.

If I can only train one stat or skill, then I'll train END, but if I can train more than one, arrange it so that it's END and Conventional Weapons. In addition, if manipulators only run on INT, and not on Unconventional Weapons skill, then trade the manipulator out for an amp.

((If you have problems with this plan of action, please feel free to let Denzel know.))
We'll boost your end and Con.

Return to ship, debriefed with rest of team

Timeskip Stuff:

Set up a target range to practice with the laser rifle and microwave amp far away from the ship, when Thaddeus has free time. Ask AM for any books to read on conventional weapons, the MkII suit, and tips/tricks with amps. Spend time in VR using laser rifle and Amp in multiple training scenarios to become familiar with using both and the MkII suit. Try to train up Dexterity, Willpower, and a little bit of Endurance on the exercise machines. Help out where needed around the ship and on planet to try and earn some extra tokens. Buy MkII if possible.

Con and exo boost here.

Charles spends the year practicing his public speaking skills. He also consults the AM for advice (on using his turret rifle and new arm cannon along with negotiating during combat) and The Doctor for recommendation on how to improve his charisma and speech through augmentative means (preferably modifying his robot body not his mind). He enjoys it thoroughly as, for once, he doesn't see any bold text for the duration of the year.

He helps Lars with the propaganda as required.

Charisma and speech boost.

Also, Nyars breaks your kneecaps and cuts the speech decomp out of your skull because you went a full year without paying it off.

Joseph spends the year gathering together a group of elite engineers from the planet populace and after teaching them where necessary (using VR if possible) and using spare parts and any RU/tokens he can get his hands on to fund the construction of a small frigate and when the engineer team is not needing him he works around Hephaestus for tokens/spare-parts/RU/raw material. When frigate is complete arm with point defence systems and gauss cannons or anything he can get a hold of.

If there is spare time construct a mass driver to help with launching ships that require it, and train with conventional weapons & bombs/grenades in VR inbetween building

I'm just gonna give you a level in aux.

Spend the year refining the use of different amps and experimenting with ways to transcend my mundane and mortal existence.
Exo leveled up.

Dominika buys a laser rifle, a microwave amp, and spends the year training not to kill herself with the amp/get killed with guns.

Exo and con leveled.

Skylar spends the year repairing and optimizing all the things.

He started with the pile of ships, including giving the original blackship a new coat of paint to make it vaguely resemble a medical transport.

When he finally ran out of work to do on those, he asked Steve and Simus if there was anything he could help optimize about the planet's facilities and defenses, and then did that.

As a frequent break from fixing things, he took the blackship out for a spin to put out whatever fires other members of the team created and render emergency medical beatings and transport.

Somewhere in this, he tried to scrounge up some extra tokens to get an upgraded suit, eventually giving up and buying a MK II if he didn't find any. Then he spends the entirety of the last month making modifications to the MK II and it's computer software.

We'll say you can get enough to get a mkIII.

"I knew Sandy was a pagan god and all, but this is something else, really!"

Examine the spacesuit and skeleton gift. Check it out for any unusual properties in comparison with the MK I suit.

Then get a stand of some kind from the Armory to put the skeleton on after removing it from the suit. If possible, get the skeleton bolted up so it still holds together. If I can't get either, donate skeleton, who I have dubbed Mr. Dead, to the Doctor. Maybe he'd be interested in its properties. Put on the spacesuit and check how it affects my movement.

Timeskip Actions:

First Priority: practice ability with whatever conventional weapons I can get my hands on, but mostly with the High Energy Projector.

Second Priority: read whatever historical manuscripts regarding weapons research and the Altered Wars I can find.

Third Priority: perfect dancing and singing skills!

The space suit is very old. Prealtered wars. Pre-jump technology. It doesn't seem to be terribly special in any way other then being very very old and potentially useful in some sort of obscure way.

The skeleton gets hung up in the corner of the armory.

Con leveled.

If we have to make the decision now, Anton will spend the year mostly working on the various construction and design projects around the planet, raising his handiwork and auxiliary skills in the process. He will also work on the Artee's design and software/wetware programming (possibly together with Saint), making sure it's all ready for construction if/when he receives the go-ahead from "Executive Overseer" Simus.
Aux and Handi leveled.

If I've written too many things, just try to do the things that would have the greatest positive impact. Or failing that try to do as much as possible.

1. Practice Pacifism -> Ask the AM if she has any advice on how to best avoid casualties and convince the enemy to surrender (if that is possible, of course) instead of fighting to the death. If she argues, tell her that yes, I realise that killing them is easier but that's not what I want to learn right now and plead her to share anything helpful.
Ask her how I could had avoided the death of the Urban Executor, what I did wrong, what I could had done better, etc.
Generally try to gain knowledge about this sort of stuff.
I don't expect this war to go by without me killing someone but I'd prefer to minimize the people I have to kill.

2. Simus -> Be bodyguard when necessary, be serious yet helpful and friendly but not too friendly. Try to learn a thing or two by watching her.

3. Construction -> Use battlesuit strength/durability and mobility to aid in construction.

4. Practice War -> With Battlesuit, Laser and Rainbow Cannon.
See if Gilgamesh's computer has any hidden functions, ask AM/Steve/internet for some tutorials/manuals/etc.
Practice flying quickly and shooting while flying and dodging.
Practice identifying high value/danger targets from afar/in a crowd/around corners/behind obstacles by utilising the cameyes.

4.5. If possible, I'd also like the following info about the Rainbow Cannon:
4.5.1. What does the Orange mode look like?
4.5.2. What does the Violet mode look like?
4.5.3. What is the pictogram of Violet mode?
4.5.4. If possible, also test fire the following modes: Orange, Yellow, Blue, Indigo, Violet.

4.5.5. As a bonus, practice shouting the cool names of things while doing them. For example, Selecting red mode and firing would have me shouting "VULCAN'S LANCE!" or using the the blue mode would have me shouting "ZEUS' FURY!", etc. Classic comicbook hero stuff.

5. Bar -> Mandate construction of one if it doesn't exist.
Maybe use the Rec Room of the Sword as a bar for civilians too, if building one on planet is out of the question. Would certainly help bring us closer to the workers, get us to know each other.
Have Piecewise the lizard be the bar's mascot.
Talk about the evils of UWM and how ARM is great while there. Have fun with the civies and the others.
Don't get drunk. At least don't get drunk too often. Once or twice over the course of the year is fine.

5.5 Ask the Doctor wether or not he can sing and whether or not he likes to sing. Ask the same questions to the Armoury Master. Don't sound like a (complete) idiot when asking the AM, I don't want to get myself killed, at least not like that.
Try to convince the Doctor and the Armoury Master to sing together at the bar.

6. Music -> Find some good music online to download into Gilgamesh. An excuse for me to be able to blast music through Gilgamesh's speakers.
Something for psychological warfare would be nice too. Like they do with Ride of the Valkyries in Apocalypse Now.

7. Propaganda -> Aid Steve and Lars in propaganda. I was an actor, I should be able to help. Plus, I got my sad story to share.

8. Knowledge -> Figure out just what the hell ARM stands for.
I dunno what the heck to level for this. And I've been doing this for four hours and am running out of space here so I can't manage a big reply.

Marcius spends the timeskip practicing using his new gauss rifle.

A lot of practice.

And his kinetic amp. Practice that too.

Con and uncon leveled.

During the year-long break in hostilities, Maurice renews his scientific assault on a way to temporarily boost regeneration in a human (without genemodifications or any other permanent changes), likely with either tweaked stem cells (natural or functionally identical synthetic) or short-living, self-devouring organical agents equivalent to Mesk's. For hours he locks himself away in a remote airlock, honing his mind's focus and ability to withstand external influence of the cursed knife he borrowed from Morul.
His leisure time he spends on finishing the portrait gallery of HMR Corps people and educating self via books and Net courses.

((@Toaster Have you thought about using the 'Sir Milno the Snark' portrait for propaganda purposes? That larger than life and 'somehow even snarkier than original, take that' painting?
@Kisame I hope you wouldn't mind me borrowing the knife during the timeskip. Again, how do you feel about altogether selling it to Maurice? Not sure if you got the offer last time.))

EDIT: ((@GM As a side note, Maurice's entry in idiots_in_space.txt seems to lack the latest level-up from Ghostship mission (+5 Will, +3 Exo), the internship benefit, the MFM I purchased, and the 'medifoam' has no mention of the quantity (2 cans). Could you fix that, please?))

We'll say you find a new substance that can heal minor to moderate injuries. It costs 5 per "can"

Leveled up

Very well then. Steve, add in a special containment chamber, suitable for stasis of whatever Xan leaves, behind a secure door in the executive boardroom. Two card locks, both needing to be used at once to open it.

Timeskip actions:

Simus will oversee the construction of HQ, helping out where she can. Making sure VR machines are installed for her and those who stay with her's use, in another room off of the main boardroom. No, that's not just her addiction speaking, since if people on the Sword are designing in VR, we need to be able to use VR to access and evaluate those designs.

Don't worry, you'll have VR. You'll have lots of things.

Oh, holy timeskip.

Teal will do odd-jobs and pyrotechnics repairs being a Rockstar with his sweet guitar in order to earn a wage over the year
We'll give you 10 tokens.

Being much less combat oriented than most folks at this point, May will spend the teas studying the arts of Charisma and Diplomacy, as well as more in-depth Medical ability. If she has time, she'll casually mess around with her Amps or .45.

All the while, romance time with Thomas, and get to know that Erin girl better. She seems quite agreeable.

Speech and charisma leveled.

((Friiiiiig))

Erin is a doctor and a scientist, so she must Science! Over the course of the next year, Erin will, inasfar as possible:

-Continue to study and tinker with modern super-technology! If someone's got a crazy idea, she'll help design, prototype, and test it!
-Finish perfecting the designs for the rail-gauntlets and the medical vehicle, and see about getting them prototyped
-Pursue an apprenticeship in the Armory, Infirmary*, or Lab, whichever would be the most inclined to take her
-Radical Space Magic™ is highly relevant to her interests, and the involved mental control skills overlap nicely with cybernetics control skills, so purchase a Microwave amp and practice its use (virtually for the most part, to avoid undue accidents until she gets the hang of it)
-Remember to stay in shape!
-I'd say 'get to know the crew better', but Erin isn't particularly interested in most of them; Get to know the Armory Master, the Doctor, and May better

*As a medical professional, not a test subject. If that's not possible, train that in whatever way the cool medics do these days.

Gonna have to break a tinkerer's legs.

We'll level your Aux.

((Hey, guys, I'm back, sorry for the absence. I went on vacations and, when I came back, there was no Internet for a few days.))

Action for the time-skip: Train usage of conventional and unconventional weaponry, including the use of the body.

Uncon an con leveled.

Based on this.

Feyri (timeskip action): Train and hone my skill with my weapon, and this new body I am in--along with getting used to the MKIII and its propulsion system, its advantages and disadvantages for future usage. Study up and improve my resistance to any kind of 'puppeteer' actions against me (Train Willpower?)

..I'm unsure once again if I did level up my character. :S

Aux and Con leveled
Faith will snap out of her coma and spend the year in intellectual pursuits, ideally helping the research teams (we still have those right?) and maybe even the Doctor.

She'll also look into getting her current inhibitor system replaced with something with fewer possible long-term side effects, and making sure to "vent" it periodically to avoid buildup like on the Ground Zero mission.

She'll also check if she ever leveled up after her last mission.

I don't know, but we'll level int and aux this time.

Thomas decides to become a real asset to the revolution. Dividing up his time, he tries to improve his ability to react quickly and fire precisely. He also tries to use some of his time researching past missions, especially (relatively) more recent ones that he did not go on. Looking through the old records, he hopes to get a glimpse of what makes or breaks a mission. Any tokens that he has, or somehow comes across during the skip he will save, hoping to get a decompensator.

When he gets stressed or sick of that, he spends his time as he did before, fooling around with May or boozing around.

Dex and Intuition leveled.

Jesus, there are a lot of you people now.

Well, for now I need a break because that took literally like 5 hours of just fucking around in sheets and such. Tomorrow I'll post a nice big post about the start of this and then we'll throw it over to miyamoto and jim to begin directing actions as shit hits the fan.

((Wait, was Charles able to repay that debt within the year? If so, I hope he'll have time to buy a new one. If not, well, I suppose it's time for massive speech overshoots :P))

Rather then changing how it works, We'll just make it a monorazor naginata so it can use it with uncon.
Woo, that's even better!

Little bit of 'bad' news though: after this, I'll be gone for the weekend, not posting again before Monday. If the mission has started by then (and Miya is needed for whatever reason), I give control of Miya to Pancaek for those two turns, just in case.

Will she also be joining next mission, perhaps?
I assume so, since it's either that or sip virtual tea in the command room hoping not to get shot anyway.

No idea where she'd go, though, especially since there's no budget to reequip her with.

Gonna add you to reserve team, my plan called for all the Bastards to be in there originally anyways. Funny how that all worked out as planned in the end.

Reserve team is big enough by now it could be split into two, but I won't for sake of preserving PW's sanity.

EDIT: carp, double posted. Woe me.

((Yeah, I figured that. I edited out the amp training while you were typing up the post, if that changes anything.))

So it was like a binary search, except the question is "Has the input been brutally murdered?", and it only ever returns True.

Now to spend my 10 tokens...))

Obtain gloves.
Figure out basic properties of the thing. You know, size, shape, weight, stuff like that. Ideally also figure out what the heck it does because seriously this is stuff I could have done the day after I got it.
