((Run, Stacy, Run!))
Wait for feedback, make a backup copy of the current version of the game code.
You back up your code and then sit around, waiting for feedback.
Technology and general philosophy. Never was a fan of bioethics.
"Maybe You should read this, it's not exactly like the others."
She hands you a book. It's solid black save for the title and author in silver:
"That which is Necessary.
By Dr. Dr. VonNost. "
((GEE, THIS WILL END WELL.))
"So you received my message? Excellent! Hope you didn't look at it without supervision, though - that has mostly ended very badly. So, how can I help?"
Go right in. Do not resist the men and women in the white coats.
"I did mention I was drinking Xeno Spit when I painted that, right? Seems like that's an important piece of the puzzle."
You're inducted into what looks like a waiting room of sorts, and then down a hall an through a door. Past the door is a room with two chairs. In the chair opposite the door is a man in a black suit of some description, almost like a business suit but slightly looser and moving as though it was much heavier or thicker. The man himself is almost supernaturally unmemorable, his features so plain and unremarkable that he might as well be an abstract concept, a face that actively alludes remembrance.
The man gestures for you to sit in the chair opposite him.
((GEE, THIS WILL END WELL.))
((One of these days I've gotta make a wager on the crew of the ship. ))
Faith winced and grasped her arm. Now what?!
Run fingers over hurting arm, try to determine what's wrong.
You run your hand over the painful sections of your arm and discover a tube running down the length of your arm, something much too large to be a vein. It ends at your palm and...a strange sort of orifice. You tighten the muscles in your arm and a small amount of viscus white fluid drips out. It expands and hardens in seconds.
Huh, that looks familiar.
Milno, his questions already running low, decided to ask one of the most...amusing ones.
"How was your first mission?"
Ask.
She smiles. "How was yours? Terrifying and confusing. Long periods of quiet befuddlement with instances of terror. Same as all the others."
"Wonder what would happen if I just swallowed everything. Probably horrifying mutations, agonizing pain, and the sweet release of death. Right. I'm so cheerful these days. Hrmmm. I wonder."
Head to the door, then see if it opens. If it does, look outside.
((Nope, it was Dick Figures.))
You walk to the door and it opens on it's own, revealing the Doctor.
"Ah, done eh? Not much more left to do. Just have to make you able to survive pressure differentials."
He walks to the specimens and grabs something from one of the containers.
"Last one. Assuming you don't want anything else?"
He hands you the lump of flesh.
Go to the Armory Master.
"Hey, I'm wondering,
Why were you recruited into the HRMC in the first place?"
"You can ask him later if you really care." She says, jerking a thumb at milno.
Cuddle Basilisk.
You hug the basilisk. It looks...well about as happy as lizards ever look.
