"Wonder what would happen if I just swallowed everything. Probably horrifying mutations, agonizing pain, and the sweet release of death. Right. I'm so cheerful these days. Hrmmm. I wonder."

Head to the door, then see if it opens. If it does, look outside.

Go to the Armory Master.
"Hey, I'm wondering,
Why were you recruited into the HRMC in the first place?"

((Run, Stacy, Run!))

Wait for feedback, make a backup copy of the current version of the game code.
You back up your code and then sit around, waiting for feedback.

Technology and general philosophy. Never was a fan of bioethics.
"Maybe You should read this, it's not exactly like the others."

She hands you a book. It's solid black save for the title and author in silver:

"That which is Necessary.

By Dr. Dr. VonNost. "

((GEE, THIS WILL END WELL.))

"So you received my message? Excellent! Hope you didn't look at it without supervision, though - that has mostly ended very badly. So, how can I help?"

Go right in. Do not resist the men and women in the white coats.

"I did mention I was drinking Xeno Spit when I painted that, right? Seems like that's an important piece of the puzzle."
You're inducted into what looks like a waiting room of sorts, and then down a hall an through a door. Past the door is a room with two chairs. In the chair opposite the door is a man in a black suit of some description, almost like a business suit but slightly looser and moving as though it was much heavier or thicker. The man himself is almost supernaturally unmemorable, his features so plain and unremarkable that he might as well be an abstract concept, a face that actively alludes remembrance.

The man gestures for you to sit in the chair opposite him.

((GEE, THIS WILL END WELL.))
((One of these days I've gotta make a wager on the crew of the ship. :P))

Faith winced and grasped her arm. Now what?!

Run fingers over hurting arm, try to determine what's wrong.
You run your hand over the painful sections of your arm and discover a tube running down the length of your arm, something much too large to be a vein. It ends at your palm and...a strange sort of orifice. You tighten the muscles in your arm and a small amount of viscus white fluid drips out. It expands and hardens in seconds.

Huh, that looks familiar.

Milno, his questions already running low, decided to ask one of the most...amusing ones.
"How was your first mission?"

Ask.
She smiles. "How was yours? Terrifying and confusing. Long periods of quiet befuddlement with instances of terror. Same as all the others."

"Wonder what would happen if I just swallowed everything. Probably horrifying mutations, agonizing pain, and the sweet release of death. Right. I'm so cheerful these days. Hrmmm. I wonder."

Head to the door, then see if it opens. If it does, look outside.

((Nope, it was Dick Figures.))

You walk to the door and it opens on it's own, revealing the Doctor.

"Ah, done eh? Not much more left to do. Just have to make you able to survive pressure differentials."

He walks to the specimens and grabs something from one of the containers.

"Last one. Assuming you don't want anything else?"

He hands you the lump of flesh.

Go to the Armory Master.
"Hey, I'm wondering,
Why were you recruited into the HRMC in the first place?"
"You can ask him later if you really care." She says, jerking a thumb at milno.

Cuddle Basilisk.
You hug the basilisk. It looks...well about as happy as lizards ever look.

"Okay. Oh, and do you have anything that I could make a falconing glove from?"
Ask that, acquire materials if possible.

Seeing the Doctor past Cog, Mesk runs up and shouts over his shoulder.  "Hey!  Mr. Doctor!  I need to talk to you!"

Faith winced. Damn it! She had almost gotten out of this without any weird goo-holes, but no. Medifoam had to come out from somewhere, and... well, she couldn't really think of a good place to ooze goo from, but still. Damn that Doctor, what was wrong with him...

Leave in a huff. Try to find the Doctor.

You ever much for philosophy?

Simus says as she reads through the book, leaning against the wall opposite the kiosk.

((I have an inkling of the author, just from the title, and the fact that the first name actually seems to be Doctor...))

"Nope. I just have a some questions. What does the propulsion system use for fuel, and how does this work? I mean how can swallowing a piece of tissue change me so much?"

Ask the questions, then swallow the final piece of tissue.

Milno sighed before smiling back at her.
"Yeah, my first mission was also crap, and I lost my arm right there. But at the same time, I guess I woke up right there for the fact I couldn't screw around and get myself killed."

Even the powerful and collected armory master had panicked in her first mission, apparently. At least it confirmed she really was human.
"When did you really get the hang of it? The missions, that is?"

Ask.

"Hey steve." You speak into the air.
>Yes?
"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

"Everything has payment...

"Hmm, do you know any way other than mugging our other 'convicts' which we can earn tokens?"

Ask AM
"Make something and sell it I suppose. Thats what your boyfriend the Tinman does."

...Boyfriend.

How do people even know these?!

"...He isn't my boyfriend.

"And materials must be bought, and I've no tools in which to create anything which people could buy...I'll just leave you to talk to Milno anyway. Busy and all."

Head back to the Barracks and browse that manual once more. Focus on sword and tower shield categories and their cross-training.

"You remind me of one of my handlers back at the re-ed! Good times, those were."

Sit down opposite the man! Answer any questions he asks completely truthfully.
