((Grate was also in the area. Is he okay? ...Please don't have him die because I reminded you of this...))
[end:1-1]
Oh...oh dear.
A chunk of debris from the explosion, a slab of concrete the size of a truck, lands flat on top of you with a very final sort of thud.
So ends the adventures of the HMRC's youngest, most innocent member.
((Thanks for finding it!
...Or..not.
T_T
Emoticons cannot express the toils of what I feel right now due to vivid imagery. Some may take this as a shallow remark, but I tell you now, it goes deeper than what I try and fail to describe here.))

And I'll repeat, nothing. Why do you ask?

Whatever she was doing. Whatever had just happened. The news and how it was broken was such a note that it caused disbelief and trust to hover inside the temporal realm of theoretical thinking. Feyri was..somewhat appeased by the considerate gesture that nobody tried to skirt around the bush--Xan was probably being an idiot not one who played a direct role here.

And Feyri felt a tear fall from her eye. Literal description aside, this pertains to her memory. Her thoughts. Whatever physical blemishes or 'weaknesses of the human body' that was taken from her, were not taken in who she was in mind and spirit. While in the tangible world, she just stood idle, seemingly doing nothing, deep inside she kept her peace. Giving no space to rational thought or thinking - one which most people would easily confuse for acting out of emotion, if an act was done - she was enveloped by the emotions. She, if in the least, trusted those who talked to her.

If the news was true, then it set off a spark. A spark! As far as the intangible thought of sorrow and anger spanned, Feyri could hear Grate's voice echo in her head. The one note which calmed the sea and somehow, eased her thinking. She would be shaking right now, in uncertainty or from distraught, but Grate was..well, still present.

"Hi, Miss Feyri! Are you okay?"
It was then that one of those furry whatsits appeared on Grate's shoulder and wiggled its cute...mandibles.
No. Grate. I'm not..I've always had the impression that I am-or should at least, be, for the sake of everyone else but I'm just not. I just want to quit at times because of all..of all this. But I can't. I just can't and you're gone! If they recover the bod-..you, then I'm not sure how you'll be in this prison of steel and wire. Goodness knows you have a long life ahead of you...
...And its all gone. Where was I for him?!
The beetle-thing perched itself on top of Grate's head, ruffling it a bit and causing the boy to give a tiny smile as he glanced up at the thing and back, awaiting a reply as it seemed.
..So innocent. Simple. He didn't even lift a weapon for himself. I should've told him all I was thinking..I held back but could've-
"Thanks, Miss Feyri!"
F-for what?
For being there for me

Feyri examined her surroundings as the ocular wiring kicked back into function after the brief chemical overload at the junction where the II Cranial Nerve would be. It was only then did Feyri notice the surrealism of what just occurred--yet in truth, felt like it was all real. Grate's voice echoed in her head. A haunting tone that she swore she'd not forget.

Quote from: Feyri Nirel > Xan
I want to know how Grate died. Who killed him, if not you. And why.

Attention Amp Hunters, Medical Transport is on the way.
Repeat, Medical Transport and reinforcements inbound, confirm your area is secure prepare your wounded and dead for transport back to the Sword.

Fly over to the crater, land outside the destroyed area and begin triage & transport back to the sword. Continue to be paranoid about LESHO rounds on the way over.
You fly over to the increasingly cratered field around the ruins of the shipyards, bringing the ship in for a slow and easy landing. You walk out to the entry hatch and start directing the injured to get on board.

((Wait, come to think of it... what happened to the two ClF3 rounds Xan had before his operation? Are they just lying around where he got shot in the throat, fated to get set off decades later in the middle of a newly constructed primary school as a grim reminder of the HMRC's former campaign here?))

Charles uses his turret to survey the area for possible threats and activates a dynamic bonus.

Xan, despite himself, is cowed. The synthflesh giant had great power in him, perhaps more than he could reach at the time being.
An obstacle.
Even though he wondered why Jim didn't obliterate Stacy, he was happy to leave the thing alone. He needed to recover. Now it was just a matter of eating the dead gu-

Who the hell took the corpse?! I need that thing!

Whoever has the dead people, come over to my location and let me have the bodies. Keep whatever's on them, but I need flesh.

Grow simple limbs and extricate myself from the rubble. Head over to the hangar.

((And my streak of overshoots continues.
Also, power of revenge! Damn that was awesome.

Anyone thinking what I'm thinking?

[will:5+1]

You become a starfish. Well...whatever. You crawl out of the rubble and over to Skylar's ship, since it's the fastest way to get to the hanger, especially for a lump like you.

Continue tending to the most wounded.

You help the injured get on board the ship.

((Just gonna exit cryo now))
Joseph crawls groggily out of the cryo pod and dresses using the box of clothes on the floor
"Hello?"
You get out and get dressed.

>Hi. Hey, just out of curiosity, you think you could squeeze into a child size space suit? For the sake of recycling and all.

Quote from: Auron to canniballistic muppet
Meet me in the hangar and ill give you my urban executor, just spit out anything technological and stick it in my crate.
head back to the sword with Jack and Michael's bodies slung over each shoulder.
Carry both corpses over to my loot crate and stash Michael and his gear, separate all loot from my Urban Executors body then decapitate him and drop his head in the crate before handing his body over to Xan.

Drag jack over to the infirmary and give him to a nurse then head out after Miyamoto and the others to hunt down the shadow walker.
(do i need to swap threads for this action?)

((Jacks only temp dead right? Also did anyone grab Explodey mcSteamedguts' body?))
You get on board the blackship, ready to be shuttled back to the lootravaganza you're sure to find on these corpses.

((For a guy who's named his (so far) signature weapon "Gungnir", Anton is pretty awful at the whole "hitting the target" thing.

Next step: invent target-seeking bendy lasers. Lacking that option, a gimballed deflection prism that would track a designated target, reducing aiming error.

Also, poor Grate. I know it sounds wrong, but I was rather hoping that if we have more permadeaths in this mission, it would be one of the veteran characters, going out doing something awesome. People like Grate would get plenty of chances to die in the regular day-to-day. >_>))

Be unconscious. Dream of electric sheep.
BUUUUUUZZZZZZZ BAAAAAAHHHHHH

Huh, thats weird.

((hey radio, you realize that was a private message to Xan right? Miyamoto should have no idea Auron even considered giving Michael to the evil raisin.))

((Xan's message was open coms. And the second thing said to Auron still stands. I'll correct the mistake.))

"Ok then, everybody who can still stand, either help with the evac or help with the SW search. Almost done here, but I ain't planning on leaving any loose threads. Mesk, Lars, can I trust you two with co-ordinating the evac?

Oh, and Sky, thanks for the help. You're the best. Fly safe, m'kay?

Hey Pancaek, wanna join me? Gonna go hunt us a cyborg sniper! Anyone else?"

Start gunning for the SW. Ask Steve is there anyplace where Miya can fit while going down there, like a central shaft or something. If there's no way for him to help, direct the people going with him to the possible exits that aren't covered yet.

>At this point I'm willing to bet that there was no SW at all. Just those tubes and a Amp specialist. We'll deal with the UE downstairs and then call it a day. I'm not seeing enough evidence.

((...

Hmm, I'm wondering how we'll do the rewards at mission end. Everything in one big pile and divide from that? Keep things separated into 3 and count people with their original team? And I'm worried about people buying the stuff for themselves they first bought with the team token fund, as that'll mean everybody can now effectively buy everything at half price (since returning stuff only is worth half the tokens). We could say that everything bought with mission fund has to be returned for tokens, would make things easy, except for Jim having bought something with his own and mission funds together, complicating matters. ))

((Probably better to do it all in one big pile, to lessen the need for keeping track of the ever-shifting units and whatnot.))

"Well. I am reasonably glad that has come to an end," Stacy notes. He can't help but wonder what awaits him next. After all, he did just blow up an entire room and hurt a whole lot of people - he wasn't sure who exactly, but presumably people somebody cared about. But perhaps he can make amends.

"Hey Pancaek, wanna join me? Gonna go hunt us a cyborg sniper! Anyone else?"

"Ooh, I'll go! I promise not to use space magic!"

Follow Miyamoto.

You follow Miya as he stands around.

((The X3C Rifle isn't rocket propelled, that's the Sibilus (and I don't have one of those). The X3C is the rifle I made out of 3 civilian rifles, hence the name, X (times) 3 Civilian (or Coil, take your pick).

Also, GOOD GOD JIM. Once more proving why nobody should piss you off. As for Grate, that sucks. Squashed by a bigass rock.))

I'll tag along, Miyamoto. There's something about reality-warpers that's just plain cheating - no offense, Jim, but a cyborg sniper? That I can deal with using actual bullets.

Tag along with Miyamoto in finding the Shadow Walker.
Following!

STEPHEN HAWKING, having just watched the synthflesh behemoth smash a cripple in a wheelchair, fondly remembers the time when he invented overkill. Afterward, he goes with the rest of the group back to the ship.

((yeah, I'm thinking GWG shouldn't have told piecewise about his location :P
Also sucks about that, Feyri is gonna be SUPA EXTRA MOPEY for quite awhile I imagine.
That or robo-bang Jim till her pain goes away. That's also possible I suppose))
You may have more interesting things to do now.

"Shit."

Assist in getting the wounded back to the medbay, do not perform any medical treatment myself. After that is done, follow Miyamoto.

((Well fuck. It appears he can track me when I'm outside the void. This does not bode well.))
Everyone that is sufficiently wounded and or wants to is loaded on the ship so...I guess you're with mr. Miya.

"I am sorry for your loss, General Jim.  Rest assured that Brother Grate has gone home to rest in the loving arms of Steve.  I would gladly help with a memorial service once our mission is complete here."

Assist getting Jim loaded up in the blackship for medevac.  See how bad my broken leg is holding my back.  If noticably, get someone to check it.  Otherwise, head out after Miyamoto in search of the SW.

Lars turns his radio to his team.  "Team, this is Brother Lars.  I sustained some injury in this event.  If you are willing and able, please follow General Miyamoto in search of the Shadow Walker.  If you need to rest and recover, do so."

((I almost forgot that I got a leg broken in this.))
You carry the Injured and exhausted Jim back to the ship and set him down against a wall inside. You can't really walk too well without the use of your rockets, so you settle in for some medical aid too.

((Jeez, sorry guys for again missing a lot of stuff. I'm happy that I was passively able to protect someone.))

Follow Miyamoto.
Following.

(I find the constant blaming of Xan for Grate's death pretty funny when it was stacy's overshoot that did it. Though, really it was the Amp specialist's fault for all this.)

The blackship takes off and heads back for the sword while Miya and crew are left standing in the now quiet wasteland of their own creation.

"Alright, when we get back, everyone wounded head to the infirmary. If you're not wounded, help those who can't get there on their own." Kri shouts from the cockpit.

The blackship comes to a very careful, hovering touchdown on the gangway itself a few minutes later.

"Last stop, everyone out."
