Ires moved herself over to one of the working radios and tries to communicate to the rest of the guards that the situation "is under control"

Then she heads upstairs. After trying to heal herself by stifling the pain.

Re: Roll to Be Heroic - Turn Twenty-Four! In which Jack Bauer makes a cameo.
« Reply #226 on: April 11, 2012, 11:58:04 am »

Turn twenty-four.  Each turn was one hour in length and you've now been superheroes for exactly one day.  (Not.)

The HUD map shifts to reflect everyone's current position.
First Floor

Second Floor

Third Floor

Fourth Floor

Downstairs,
Agent Green smirks and makes a "come get some" gesture at the last guard.  (5) The guard snarls and lunges, [2+1] and Desmond blocks his strike, if not quite managing to disarm him.
Agent Fortmüller kicks the passed-out guard who shot Ires in the crotch.  The guard curls up despite being unconscious.  He then [4+1] shoots the last remaining guard with a dart, knocking him out almost instantly.
Agent Reon, still bleeding, grabs a radio from off the ground and signals an all-clear.  [1+1]
"Who is this and what are you doing on this channel?"
Nobody buys it.  As Ires heads upstairs she tries some basic techniques to heal herself, [4-1] and despite her lack of equipment and training manages to slow the bleeding down.

Middlestairs,
Agent Jackson heads up to the third floor, where he spots two guards chatting, submachine guns held at the ready, between him and the stairs up.  [6+1] [5+1-1] The first one is dead before he hits the floor but reflexively squeezes his trigger, [1] shooting his buddy as Thomas cuts him open.

Upstairs,
Agent Maxwell decides to take out the isolated guard in the bedroom, but he's already left and is back to patrolling the hallway in her direction.  They spot each other at the same time, [2] (3) and he reacts first, quick-drawing his pistol (1) which jams.

Jenny's reaction was to close distance and initiate a quicktime beatdown: a kick to the crotch, a punch to the throat, a quick snap of his wrist to disarm him, then a judo throw from that arm over her shoulder to take him down, and finally a stomp to the head.

(Technically it's just one action - KO the guard - but I felt like going on with the description of it. ^^^)

Nicholas rips off a piece of the unsconscious guard's uniform, makes a ball with the cloth and throws it to Ires.

"Try a tourniquet on that."

Advance carefully and search for more guards to take down. Shoot with the sniper rounds this time.

Charge up the stairs and shoot the guard in the hallway.

Desmond leaned down and picked the taser off the floor. It felt pretty heavy-he thought it was more like the sort you use on Rhinos than people...he wondered if the Guards had been expecting super-trouble?

Action: Loot the guards Taser and assist Iraes in dealing with her wound and/or follow her up stairs.

Edit: Oh!

Happy Birthday Remalle. :)

((Happy Birthday :))

Sorry for holding up those turns everyone. Timezones don't agree with me.))

Re-signal the guards and tell them I'm a new recruit. Be discreet as I search the second floor for anyone.

If spotted or in melee range of any enemy, go for a neck-chop to the third vertebrae! {Disable yet again}

Re: Roll to Be Heroic - Turn Twenty-Five! In which Jenny is Batman.
« Reply #235 on: April 12, 2012, 02:07:50 pm »

That's all right Tiruin, I can only make the maps once a day anyway.  Anyway, turn twenty-five - that's a quarter of the way to turn one hundred!

The HUD map beeps and changes.
First Floor

Second Floor

Third Floor

Fourth Floor

On the fourth floor,
Agent Maxwell unleashes a sequence of attacks on the guard with the jammed gun, [2+1] but he blocks most of them.  Jenny's strength and speed are still enough to land a few blows, and he struggles as he tries to counterattack.  He [5-1] pistolwhips her, dazing her.

On the first floor,
Agent Fortmüller tosses Ires a strip of cloth as she heads up the stairs.
"Try a tourniquet on that."
He then follows her, sniper rifle at the ready.
Agent Green picks up the taser and follows Ires up the stairs, ready to help her with her wound if need be.

On the second floor,
Agent Reon tries to convince whoever's on the other end of the radios that she's a new recruit.  [2-1]
"Yeah, and I'm Elvis.  All units, switch to secure channel three, this one's compromised."
Seeing that there's one guard left on the second floor, Ires tries getting behind him as he fiddles with his radio, and disabling him with a neck chop.  [3+1] He crumples.

On the third floor,
Agent Jackson heads up to the fourth floor.  Seeing Jenny engaged with a guard he aims carefully and fires, [2+1] just barely managing to shoot the guard's jammed pistol out of his hand.

Nicholas, uhh.

Move upstairs, look for guards and shoot them down. Cover's blown.

(I thought I was on the fourth floor? Ah, oh well.)

Jenny recovers and again tries to take the guard down, this time with a kick to the stomach and a guillotine.

(I claim A Wrestler In All of Us as justification for this, and if not, then Jenny happens to be a wrestling fan like me. :P)

If Jennifer fails to disable the guard, run up and punch the guard repeatedly. If she succeeds, run to the corner at the southern end of the hallway and katanacharge that guard.
