Bonus terror if you have an ocean. Zombie sponge people/starfish people/angler fish people.

All I have in my ocean is a single old sea monster. It keeps scaring my fisherdwarves and killed a dog.

Keep on topic.  We don't care about your dog.  We care about figuring out the evil, and learning how to embark on mist+zombie+eyeball grass zones.

Why do the eyeball grasses matter?

It's grass. With eyeballs. Why else would it matter? It would only matter more if it was [UNDEAD].

I'm just wondering why she wants zombies mist and eyeball grass instead of zombies mist and murder-rain.

Because it contributes to the evil, it would be a step towards finding patterns, and it shall soon be modded to cause ingested syndromes that will cause issues with cattle.

We also need to locate rains, though it seems that freakish weather is present in all evil biomes.

Isn't freakish weather present in ALL biomes?

Essentially yes.  I plan to make a syndrome that turns cows into something a little more exotic.  Same with the good-side grass.

Hey, no problem, glad I could help. =) I've done a lot of experimentation with world generation (too much time on my hands, for one thing).

Girlinhat, as far as I can tell, it seems kind of random. There seems to be some other variable in play besides just savagery and evilness. I'm betting if you tried three embarks right next to each other in an evil zone, they'd all have pretty much the same features. My question wouldn't be "what are the patterns", it would be "what's the missing variable"?
