Man, and combined with the heat ammo nerf even heavies will only be doing 75% vs sectopods. >.>

They better have fixed the teleporting Sectopod glitch, because damnit it just wouldn't be fair.

It's the biggest glitch in the game, and they said they were working on it but never actually released a patch. I think it's safe to say we'll have seen the last of Telepods when Enemy Within comes out.

Unless Telepods become an official enemy, the Elite form of the Sectopods. The horror.

Teleporting nuke-slinging tankbots with effectively 60 health...

If they decide to make that a thing, we'd better at least get teleport research from the autopsy.

Or invincibility research.
Side Note: ever played with that one hero who has 100 base health? Hilarious.

Indeed, I do this.

60hp?

That's actually quite easy to take care of actually. Of course we're talking sectopods here so there will be two to deal with at the same time, meaning 120hp hahaha.

60 HP, no crits, heat ammo doesn't even fully compensate for the damage reduction. If they still teleport, expect code black to be a matter of luck.

Don't forget that HEAT ammo is being nerfed to +50% damage, instead of the current +100%. The devs explained that, with the new mechanical enemies, HEAT ammo would simply be too powerful against too many targets. I vaguely remember hearing that Squadsight had also been nerfed by preventing Squadsight-assisted shots from critting.

With these nerfs, and the half-damage buff... Sectopods are suddenly scary again.

Not to mention our former "Hammer of the gods" squadsight sniper shots will just *PING* uselessly off their armor. I think the only thing good we have going against them now is glorious MECPUNCHES.

I like that Exalt troops are designed to look like the dudes from that failed X-Com Declassified game.

Do you mean The Bureau: X-Com Declassified? The one that's out? This one?

Maybe the big reveal is that Exalt is the remnants of The Bureau.
