In the last thousand years, the crymitian race prospered. billions of them now live under the high peaks. 162 dynasties exist now.

The High Counsil at Suriloy had to be restructurated, to host ambassadors of each one. The old buildings are too small now, and assemblies now take place in "exterior", in a big arena, well structurated with lodges and spare place, and platforms for orators. Attention was paid to acoustic. A proper building is planned, but no one can concur on the shape it shall take, so it's not for soon.

Debates may be quite animated, but there was no conflict. There is room for everyone and no reason to fight. The 28 oldest dynasties are respected and hold a solid influence over debates.

The fact that Draioth offered the books, but not the knowledge of reading, strongly influenced his image over the Crymitian religion, who choose to laugh, not to blame. Jokes and stories over the knowledgeable, but "eccentric" Draioth and the more serious and practical Omoloth soon enter the pantheon (and bedstories for childs).

Draioth is depicted as a very old crymitian emperor, dressed in white toga. He always seem wise but kinda, er, lost (see doc in back to the future) His symbols are a written tablet, a blue cavern moth and an orb of light.
Omoloth is a tall, muscular emperor. He is old, but not as much as Draioth. He wear a black kilt with artisan tools at his belt. He is always depicted with crymitian commoners around him, and often with a black, well-cut stone (monolith). He is either ordering or teaching the crymits to build, and have a compass in hand. He is always smiling or even laughing happily before the progress of his students.

Niklas (whose name is deformed in "Niklasoth", as "-oth" root was linked in Crymitian culture as designating the divinity.) easily enters the pantheon. His role is however deformed.
For the commoners, he is the one that link the crymits to others, and make weak individuals strong together. Courage come by the shared minds. Do not fear for yourself, act for the whole.
For the emperors, he is a god of war and anger. The one that give the strenght and courage to turn fear into rage, and strike the enemy.
He is rarely depicted, but when so, he is a tall, slender emperor, with dark skin, and surrounded by dark gaze. Some emperors depict him striking down ennemy with reddish power spells. (ennemies are cowering)

For the Empire is expanding, communication ways are to be improved. Grand tunnels are dug, large enough to let twenty commoners pass in front, between major cities (mainly capitals of each dynasty). Blue crystals are placed along these to ease communication.
Not satisfied with normal transportations, Tanae-rem'Liza, of the powerful and ancient Lizanag dynasty, decided to use the beasts that populated the caverns along the Crymits for work, be it transporting merchandises or crymits, or anything heavy.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The mighty Adrugerohj was the first chosen for such a task. Peaceful giant grazer, it live in caverns near crymitian towns, grazing over moss and lichen, using its horns to rip it off the ground. It is nearly five meters tall, for the biggest females, and can bear heavy charges.

Increase the size of the devourers. Their physical strength shall allow them to defeat their predators!

A harsh, hissing voice touched the divine mind of Omoloth.
"One would be wise to tread carefully on the territory of other gods..."
The voice paused for a moment, continuing in a radically different tone.
"Hah, I kid. Nice work there. Truth be told, I didn't even remember putting the books there in the first place."

--------

Draiotch had decided that it was time to test the judgement of the Crymits. Throughout the empire, voices were heard, some through sound, others through the communication network. All of them spoke stories of the location of the Home Hearth, but all of them were different in some way. Many of them would lead those who headed their advice astray, but some of them had parts of truth to them. Only the most inquisitive and competent would be able to piece these together to unlock the secret.

The Praeclusium began to shift and move, not in the mortal plane, but in the magical one. It stretched, the floors seeming to stretch up and down for an eternity, All locked, but the first.
Six doors appeared, Three for each realm. A door appeared in the homelands of each race, all of them inscribed with puzzle locks tailored for the separate species to solve, all of them pushing the limits of each to solve.

Across the entire land, rare materials and trinkets rich in magical energy were scattered, each deviously and dangerously hidden behind traps in equally hidden tombs, challenging the adventurous to plunder their secrets.
-Move the Praeclusium to the Magical realm.
-Create doors in 09.13, 15.09 and 20.13, only able to be opened by the most intelligent of each species (Except the Devourers, as they are more or less one mind.)
-Expand the Praeclusium, with all added knowledge being inaccessible until naturally discovered or somehow unlocked.
-Spread varying rumors of the location of the Home Hearth, most being false, some being true.
-Create treasure vaults around the world to be discovered, the highest concentration being in Retha territory.

Are those locations correct? 15.09 is in the middle of Retha territory, but 19.13 is on an uninhabited island across the ocean from everyone else and 20.13 is under water.

Ah whoops, it was supposed to be 09.13, not 19.13. The others are correct.

The blob known as the Zjelldursin gladly retreated from the dangers of the Crymit central lands, but that does not mean it will give up completely on the delicious mineral treasures to be found in their lairs. In fact, its encounters with them might have triggered a development in its primal mind that might end up helping it in resisting the futile attacks of the squishy crab people...

Far to the south-east, the blob now known as the Reef Titan wandered the ocean floor with its new neighbors on its back. Even as the Calx begin to lose hope at ever communicating with their new friend of sorts, unexpected answers start coming from the living mountain...

They vary a bit between the locations, I'm thinking around 30 feet high?

Among the Calx, it was thought that the mighty god Niklas lived in the sky, and that it was his anger that send the night and his mercy that returned the day. To become closer to Niklas and to glorify that God was the great ambition of his worshipers, and thus it was decided that the best form of worship would be to expand his temple ever upwards until it breached the heavens themselves and crested above the waves.

And so in the third era, the cursed city of Calx'yleth rose up from the dark depths of the sea, a great glimmering spire at the heart of the coral kingdom of the Calx. Like a spear piercing the heavens, the coral grew up to meet the brightness of the sun, surrounded by clouds of floating, junvinile calx. And from the great tower, eternally echoing, were the words of the prophet: "The Living City is born of the Deep! Spread, so that It may follow!"

And so the Calx did swarm outwards and so the reefs did follow, spreading out across the sea floor and into the swamp-lands ruled by the Retha.

Evolve the following traits:
Special Trait: Amphibiousness for 16 EP (allowing the young to breathe air and the adult corals to rise above the waves)
Improve Singing to Rank 8 for 11 EP (allowing trans-kingdom communication in minutes)
Improve Hermatypic to Rank 7 for 4EP (allowing improved control over the shape of the corals)

The stories over the localisation of the Cavern of Origins spread around the land, puzzling most for they are contradictory and, for most, probably false.
However, it is clear that the stories came from a supernatural source, and so they may be truth hidden in the whispers.
The High Counsil debate over this matter for months, while legions of commoners compile the stories over countless stone tablet, which are stored in buidings around the praeclusium (or its entry, now that the real library was somehow moved into another plan). Emperors now come and study them, attempting to find some correlation with old legends.
Every story whispering about a not-so-deep Cavern were immediatly dismissed. Most of those talking about a Cavern not under the mountains were also dismissed, for it is very unlikely.
Anyway, a handful of young Emperors went into searching the Cavern, with a group a friends and a handful of commoners. Some didn't came back, some founded their little realm outside the Empire, but most came back with exotic creatures, minerals and plants, epic stories, but no Cavern.
send parties in search of the Cavern of Origin, on the basis of well-studied stories spreding around the Empire, compared with ancient legends in hope to find truth among the lies.

In response over the moving of the Praeclusium, crymits tried to recreate "books". With the help of Omoloth, they develop some orange crystals, that can be "engraved" in a way that pulsing magic into them will send back a registered echo. Only emperors are able to "read" those, but commoners don't care about it. the common mind provide all they need to know.
spend 6EP into writing/reading trait lvl4

The process of domesticating the Adrugerohj went well, and they were now used for numerous purpose. Tanae-rem'Liza was granted a statue alongside Mazza'kaza and his comrades.
spend 4EP into domesticate lvl3

And so do the passageways and communication array around the ever-growing Empire.
4EP into communication roads & crystals lvl3

The 162 dynasties also feed one of the most popular occupation among Emperors: politics. Negociations, debates and even arguing over a decision was a game that most of them loved. With thousands of opinions, it was now more thrilling than ever, and a whole organisation arose to teach the counselor-to-be and other diplomats.
4EP into Political Organisation lvl3

And the other most-loved game of Emperors was magic. With the praeclusium, they made stunning progress around the different kinds of arcane mastery. Manipulating brute energies (known as "Arcane magic") was by far the favoured way of using magic, but growing and using various minerals and crystals was also popular. Ice and lightning magic came not far behind, and fire as well.
8EP into Magic affinity, incresing it to lvl5

improve magic vision and Keen intelligence by 1 lvl as well (4EP)

all 30EP spent

oh well, not insane, but I lack the proper word to designate the sate of a guy that know so much so advanced things that he tend to forgot mundane stuff. Its far from pejorative, and make gods nearer to mortals (just as ancient greek pantheon was full of far-from-perfect gods). I could actually got ungrateful and hold a grudge, but crymits choose to take it lightly, and you two are now more strongly linked in crymitian legends. Just like ol' pals. ;)
